Low income is.the main problem of millions.of farmers.who are cultivating 4.81 million hectares.in the Philippines. This.problem is.attributed to challenges.s.ecifically low yield, low quality of produce, and s.gnificant pos.-harves. los.es. particularly in a res.urce-s.arce s.tting. This.s.udy aimed to help increas. the farmers. income in s.lected towns.of Nueva Ecija through the promotion and us. of s.ecial purpos. rice production technology. Twenty (20) farmer-cooperators.in three towns.of Nueva Ecija were s.lected to demons.rate the production technology covering a total area of 4.75 hectares.during the dry s.as.n, and 3.3 hectares.during the wet s.as.n, both in 2023. Extens.on modalities.s.ch as.training, techno-demo es.ablis.ment, information material and technical as.is.ance provis.on, and market linkage were undertaken to enhance their knowledge, attitude, and s.ills.on s.ecial rice production and enterpris.. The s.udy utilized the des.riptive quantitative method wherein the data were gathered through s.rveys. s.ecifically pers.nal interviews. Res.lts.s.owed that 70% of the farmer-cooperators.were male and 60% were living below the poverty thres.old. The farmers.were 53 years.old on average and engaged in farming as.their primary s.urce of income. The average yield of s.ecial purpos. rice particularly the CLs.2 variety was.higher (6.46 MT/ha and 6.22 MT/ha during dry and wet s.as.ns. res.ectively) than that of inbred or non-s.ecial rice. The income per hectare from s.ecial purpos. rice production per hectare was.Php 75,420.00, which is.higher than that of regular rice at Php 29,389.00, giving a higher benefit of Php 46,031.00. The technology adopters.and area planted increas.d (from 6 to 9 and from 1.4 hectares.to 2.75 hectares. res.ectively) in Licab, Nueva Ecija. The oppos.te was.true in s.o. A novel technique for the meas.rement of the coating layer thicknes. of fine particles.was.developed in this.work bas.d on cros.-s.ctioning of micrometre-s.zed s.ngle coated particles.us.ng focus.d ion beam (FIB) milling. This.technique was.tes.ed on two batches.of aerogel particles.coated with thin coatings.in a s.outed bed. The FIB milling procedure cons.s.ed of two s.eps. Firs., the des.red part of the coated particle was.removed us.ng a high ion beam current. The res.lting cros.-s.ctioned area was.then polis.ed us.ng a lower ion beam current to make the cros.-s.ction clearly vis.ble. The FIB milling proces. was.controlled with s.multaneous.s.anning electron micros.opy (s.M). Afterwards. the coating layer thicknes. was.evaluated us.ng the s.M images. The coating layer was.s.cces.fully applied on the porous.aerogel microparticles.in the s.outed bed. The coating uniformity of the highly porous.particles.increas.d with increas.ng s.rayed coating s.lution amount, with up to 91% of the particle pores.being covered. The FIB-cros.-s.ctioning technique us.ng an ion beam of 2.50 nA for the firs. milling and 0.43 nA for polis.ing of the s.rface res.lted in s.cces.ful generation of cros.-s.ctions.of repres.ntative particles.with a vis.ble particle core and coating layer. A coating layer thicknes. of approximately 700 nm was.achieved on particles.with s.zes.of below 45 μm.

This.paper deals.with a peculiar rheological behavior of aluminum at near-s.lidus.temperatures. It has.been experimentally es.ab- lis.ed that there is.an invers. s.rain rate dependence of s.rain res.s.ance at temperatures.ranging between 560 and 640℃ and s.rain rates.ranging from 0.06 to 1.2 s.1. Electron backs.atter diffraction analys.s.has.s.own that at temperatures.ranging between 540 and 640℃ and s.rain rates.ranging from 0.06 to 0.1 s.1, the main proces. of s.ftening is.dynamic polygonization, res.lting in in s.tu recrys.allization. At higher s.rain rates. ranging between 0.8 and 1.2 s.1, and temperatures.ranging between 560 and 640℃, the recovery is.dynamic. This.unus.al behavior of the mechanis. of s.ftening and the pres.nce of the invers. s.rain rate dependence of s.rain res.s.ance can be explained by blocking the motion of free dis.ocations.by foreign atoms. which occurs.at s.rain rates.ranging between 0.06 and 0.1 s.1 This.proces. res.lts.in dis.ocation pile-up, thereby caus.ng in s.re recrys.allization. At s.rain rates.exceeding 0.16 s.1, there is.no intens.ve blocking of dis.ocations. leading to a direct s.rain rate dependence of s.rain res.s.ance.

Influence of the type and quantity of polyolefin fibers.on the s.rength properties.compres.ion s.rength, tens.le s.rength in bending, s.rength in uniaxial tens.on), the deformation properties.elas.ic modulus. Pois.on’s.coefficient) and the abras.on res.s.ance of cement concrete with water-to-cement ratio within 0.31 e0.55 were s.ated in the *** ways.of fibers.introduction into fres. concrete were inves.igated. It was.s.own that the fibers.introduction method and procedure of mixing are the ways.to improve the fibers.uniform dis.ribution in fres. concrete. The increas. of the bending tens.le s.rength and the uniaxial tens.le s.rength of concrete with fibers.reinforcement in comparis.n with the reference concrete was.obs.rved with the water-to-cement ratio decreas.. The increas. of uniaxial tens.le s.rength at age of 28 days.for concrete with macrofibers.in amount of4.5 kg/m^3 was.23% and 29%;for macrofibers.in quantity of 3 kg/m^3 was.19% and 26% with water-cement ratio equal to 0.49 and 0.31, res.ectively. The maximum reduction of abras.on in the range of 7.5%e10% was.obs.rved in concrete with water-to-cement ratio within0.44 e0.55 for all inves.igated types.of fibers. The influence of fibers.on the concrete abras.on with lower W/C ratio was.negligible. The res.lts.can contribute to the rational us. of modified polyolefin fibers.in road pavement concrete.
