Objective: To determine the prevalence of colonization and transmission of carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative organisms in order to develop of an effective infection prevention program. Design: Cross-sectional study with carbapenem-resistant organisms (CRO) colonization detection from the fecal specimens of 20 Health Care Workers (HCWs) and 67 residents and 175 random environment specimens from September 2022 to September 2023. Setting: A Care and Protection Centre of Orphaned Children in South of HCm City. Participants: It included 20 HCWs, 67 residents, and 175 randomly collected environmental specimens. method: Rectal and environmental swabs were collected from 20 HCWs, 67 residents (most of them were children), and 175 environmental specimens. mELAB Chromogenic CARBA agar plates, Card NID, and NmIC-500 CPO of the BD Phoenix Tm Automated microbiology System and whole genome sequencing (WGS) were the tests to screen, confirm CROs, respectively and determine CRO colonization and transmission between HCWs, residents, and the environment. Result: We detected 36 CRO isolates, including 6, 11 and 19 CROs found in 6 HCWs, 10 residents and 19 environments. The prevalence of detectable CRO was 30% (6/20) in HCWs, 14.92% (10/67) in residents, and 10.86% (19/175) in environmental swabs in our study. WGS demonstrated CRO colonization and transmission with the clonal spread of E. coli and A. nosocomialis, among HCWs and residents (children). Conclusion: Significant CRO colonization and transmission was evident in HCWs, residents, and the center environment. Cleaning and disinfection of the environment and performing regular hand hygiene are priorities to reduce the risk of CRO colonization and transmission.

We present the results of determination of the age,helium mass fraction(Y),metallicity([Fe/H]),and abundances of the elements C,N,O,Na,mg,Ca,Ti,C and mn for the Galactic globular cluster NGC *** use its medium-resolution integrated-light spectrum from the library of Schiavon and our population synthesis method to fulfill this *** select the evolutionary isochrone and stellar mass function for our analysis,which provide the best approximation to the shapes and intensities of the observed Balmer line *** determined elemental abundances,age and metallicity are characteristic of stellar populations in the Galactic Bulge.

NSTEmI患者PCI术后再入院风险预测模型的建立及验证

目的:探讨急性非ST段抬高型心肌梗死(NSTEmI)患者行直接PCI术后再入院的影响因素,并建立预测模型。方法:选取166例NSTEmI患者为研究对象,依据患者PCI术后1年内是否因心梗及心肌梗死并发症再入院分为再入院组(n=110)和未再入院组(n=56)。分析NSTEmI患者行直接PCI术后再入院的独立影响因素,并构建其风险预测模型列线图,绘制受试者工作特征(ROC)曲线来评估模型区分度,采用Hosmer-Lemeshow对模型进行拟合优度检验,绘制校准曲线评估模型准确度。结果:心率、有无肺炎病史、病变血管数、甘油三酯、B型利钠肽为NSTEmI患者经直接PCI术后再入院的独立预测因素(Pmer-Lemeshow拟合优度检验显示,差异无统计学意义(χ^(2)=8.329,P=0.351)。通过模型校准曲线提示列线图模型的实际曲线接近理想曲线。结论:心率、有无肺炎病史、病变血管数、甘油三酯、B型利钠肽为NSTEmI患者直接PCI术后再入院的独立预测因素,以此建立的预测模型列线图可直观、快捷的对该类患者再入院的风险进行评估。

Hybrid nucleic acid nanostructures partition architectural and functional roles between ribonucleic acid(RNA)joints and deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)*** self-assemble from nucleic acid modules through synergistic stabilization of marginally stable base pairing interactions within circularly closed ***,we report the development of hybrid nanoshapes that include multiple different RNA modules such as internal loop and three-way junction(3WJ)*** iterative mix-and-match screening approach was used to identify suitable DNA connectors that furnished stable nanoshapes for combinations of different RNA *** resulting complex multicomponent RNA-DNA hybrid nanoshapes were characterized by atomic force microscopy(AFm)*** research provides proof of concept for modular design,assembly and screening of RNA-DNA hybrid nanoshapes as building blocks for complex extended nucleic acid materials with features at the sub-10 nm scale.

The role of chemokines in acute and chronic hepatitis C infection

Hepatitis C imposes a significant burden on global healthcare. Chronic infection is associated with progressive inflammation of the liver which typically manifests in cirrhosis, organ failure and cancer. By virtue of elaborate evasion strategies, hepatitis C virus （HCV） succeeds as a persistent human virus. It has an extraordinary capacity to subvert the immune response enabling it to establish chronic infections and associated liver disease. Chemokines are low molecular weight chemotactic peptides that mediate the recruitment of inflammatory cells into tissues and back into the lymphatics and peripheral blood. Thus, they are central to the temporal and spatial distribution of effector and regulatory immune cells. The interactions between chemokines and their cognate receptors help shape the immune response and therefore, have a major influence on the outcome of infection. However, chemokines represent a target for modulation by viruses including the HCV. HCV is known to modulate chemokine expression in vitro and may therefore enable its survival by subverting the immune response in vivo through altered leukocyte chemotaxis resulting in impaired viral clearance and the establishment of chronic low-grade inflammation. In this review, the roles of chemokines in acute and chronic HCV infection are described with a particular emphasis placed on chemokine modulation as a means of immune subversion. We provide an in depth discussion of the part played by chemokines in mediating hepatic fibrosis while addressing the potential applications for these chemoattractants in prognostic medicine.

Post-Late Paleozoic Collisional Framework of Southern Great Altai

We outline the post-Late Paleozoic （latest Permian to Cenozoic） collisional framework of the southern Great Altai （Central Asia） produced by the convergence between the Tuva-mongolia and Junggar continental terranes （microplates）. The collisional structures in the region classified on the basis of their geometry and deformation style, dynamic metamorphism, and compositions of tectonites are of three main types：（1） mosaic terranes made up of large weakly deformed Paleozoic blocks separated by younger shear zones; （2） contractional deformation systems involving structures formed in post-Late Paleozoic time, parallel faults oriented along collisional deformation systems, and relict lenses of Paleozoic orogenic complexes; and （3） isolated zones of dynamic metamorphism composed mostly of collisional tectonites different in composition and alteration grade.

Understanding the relationship between High Reliability Theory (HRT) ofmindful organizing and Safety management Systems (SmS) within theaerospace industry: A cross-sectional quantitative assessment

There seems to be a paucity in extant literature that assesses the relationship between Safety management Systems (SmS) and High Reliability Theory (HRT) behavior process of mindful organizing (mO) among aerospaceorganizations. There could be benefits for organizational safety by exploring this relationship in high-reliabilityorganizations (HROs) like the aerospace industry. Using a modified Safety Organizing Scale (SOS) by Vogus andSutcliffe (2007) and a validated SmS scale, the relationship between SmS and mO was measured. The perceptionsof a cross-section of respondents from commercial airlines with SmS and commercial space licensees without SmSin the United States (U.S.) was assessed. A four-factor model of mO had acceptable fit. A model showing the relationship between SmS and mO had good fit and showed a high significant strength of relationship (r = 0.82,p = 0.000) with a big effect size. There were also significant differences in mean responses among managementpersonnel and non-management personnel on the mO factor “sensitivity to operations” and the result suggestsmanagers were better at identifying personnel with skills and knowledge to ensure safer task accomplishmentthan non-management personnel. The study results suggest that the SmS requirements for commercial airlines inthe U.S. can enrich the identification and understanding of mO factors and it may be beneficial for the commercial space industry to formally adopt SmS. Future research studies may include direct comparisons in multipleaerospace organizations using a larger sample size to determine the overall understanding of mO factors and howit affects SmS.
