Eight samples of Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt belonging to red and green varieties harvested from eight areas in China and Japan were investigated for a new feasibility of water extract of *** *** compound contents were determined,identified and *** them,three cinnamic derivatives ranged from 0.09 to 10.10 mg/g dry basis(coumaroyl tartaric acid,0-0.76 mg/g,caffeic acid,0.07-0.84 mg/g,and rosmarinic acid,0-10.1 mg/g),flavonoids ranged from 3.43 to 18.53 mg/g(apigenin 7-O-caffeoylglucoside,0-1.16 mg/g;scutellarein 7-O-diglucuronide,0.10-1.84;luteolin 7-O-diglucuronide, 0.28-7.35;apigenin 7-O-diglucuronide,2.18-8.74;luteolin 7-0-glucuronide,0-0.51 scutellarein 7-O-glucuronide0.05-1.78),and anthocyanins(cis-shisonin,shisonin,malonylshisonin and cyanidin 3-O-(E)-caffeoylglucoside-5-O-malonylglucoside) which were detected in only red-green or red cultivars, range from 0.74 up to 1.78 mg/g.

The main objective of this study was the analysis of physicochemical and rheological behavior of a drinkable beverage prepared with different concentrations (5%, 10% and 20% w/w) of Kefir. several rheological models were also evaluated to determine the model that better fit experimental data. Apparent viscosity was measured with a Brookfield Viscometer within shear rates of 0.26 rad/s to 2.09 rad/s; and with an Ar-2000ex TA Instruments Rheometer within shear rates of 0.01 rad/s to 1,000 rad/s. Physicochemical tests, such as titratable acidity, chloride percent, fat concentration, color, humidity, syneresis, and total solids, were determined using laboratory equipment. The main result observed in all samples tested with Brookfield viscometer was that Kefir drink behaved as a Newtonian Fluid within shorter strain rates (0.26 rad/s to 2.09 rad/s). However, when the same samples were tested with Ar-2000ex Rheometer, a different behavior was observed: Over a wider range of shear rates, the fully non-Newtonian behavior of Kefir samples was discovered. Besides, additional variables such as shear and normal stresses, and loss and storage modulus, were analyzed with Ar-2000ex Rheometer. The rheological model that better fitted the experimental data was Cross model, followed by Power Law Model. statistical analysis of viscosity data acquired with Brookfield Viscometer from all Kefir concentrations was not significant (p values greater than 0.05); which demonstrated that the effect of Kefir concentration over shorter strain rates was not significant, and thus, the samples behave as a Newtonian fluid. On the other hand, p values lower than 0.05 were observed in most of the different Kefir concentration samples tested with Ar-2000ex Rheometer; which indicates that a statistical significant effect was observed and thus a non-Newtonian behavior of Kefir samples. Artemia is deficient in polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFAs),particularly in arachidonic(ARA,20:4n-6),eicosapentaenoic(EPA,20:5n-3),and docosahexaenoic acid(DHA,22:6n-3).The aim of this study was to determine the optimal time in which the higher contents of PUFAs in juveniles of Artemia franciscana were obtained by the effect of enrichment with the tuna orbital oil *** enrichment periods were evaluated:3,6,9,12,15 and 18 h,in addition to a control treatment(0 h).The most abundant fatty acids in *** were monounsaturated(43.10%±4.35–52.92%±5.82%),followed by saturated(33.83%±1.71–42.33%±2.31%)and PUFAs(8.86%±2.83%–21.32%±2.38%).ARA decreased over the enrichment time;the maximum content was 5.74±0.37%at 3 h,which was not statistically different with respect to the content recorded at 0 *** highest content of EPA was at 3 h(6.47%±1.44%),without significant differences with the content registered at 0 h,while that from 6 h and until 15 h tended to decrease *** 6 h,the content of DHA(8.84%±2.72%)was significantly higher compared to the rest of the treatments,which did not differ among themselves,or with the *** to the 6 h and until 15 h,the content of PUFAs tended to decrease,which could indicate the metabolization of them by ***,coupled with the possible oxidation of these fatty acids in the enrichment solution.

Microbial inoculants are of great importance in agro-ecology and plants. However, the symbiotic effectiveness of strains may vary between species or within the same species. Aim of the study was to select experimental microbial strains of national origin, to know its impact on growth of sweet sorghum (sorghum bicolor) in greenhouse and sterile soil. Five strains of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and eight rhizobacteria (two of them mutagenized) were compared with non-inoculated plants as control. Variables measured were index of chlorophyll sPAD, plant height, stem diameter (from the middle section), fresh biomass from stem, leaf, panicle, radical, and stem sugars content (°Brix) of every two internodes. The results showed that in the majority of cases, microbial strains exceeded the values of variables compared with control plants. The highest values of chlorophyll (41.8 sPAD), stem diameter (13.5 mm) and total fresh biomass (144.3 g), were recorded with rhizobacterias Bs410 (Herbaspirillum sp.), B2709 (Pseudomonas sp.) and B4M4 (Azospirillum sp.), respectively.

Cadmium Distribution in Tobacco Growing soil Fractions: Its Influence on Dried Leaf Contents

Many authors have studied cadmium concentrations in tobacco leaves. However, crops such as tobacco store Cd mainly in their leaves and these are for human consumption. The objective of this study is to establish the cadmium levels present in each of the soils fractions throughout the growing period of tobacco plants, and to examine the influence of these fractions on the total content cadmium in dried leaves. The field select is situated near ofGranadacity (soils from Vega de Granada) loamy calcareous thermic typic Xerorthent. The plant (Nicotiana tabacum, cvs. RJ36 variety), and the soil dedicated to the tobacco crop were contaminated with a fixed amount of Cd (100 mg/kg of CdCl2) in the proximity of the root influence area. The contents of Cd are analysed in channel waters, in different soil fractions and dried tobacco leaves (mg/kg) with the different treatments. In conclusion, the water for irrigation is not a contamination risk for the soil even when user over lengthy periods of time. The fraction presenting higher average values is the one of Cd bound to CaCO3 with 0.161 ppm, and the Cd bioavailable fractions is second in importance, and propose a Cd content sequence in fractions, higher to lower: Cd-Carbonates > Cd-Bioavailable > Cd-Organically bound > Cd-Exchangeable > Cd-soluble.

Confidence bands in a Normal Q-Q Plot allow us to detect non-normality of a data set rigorously, and in such a way that the conclusion does not depend on the subjectivity of the observer of the graph. In the construction of the graph, it is usual to fit a straight line to the plotted points, which serves both to check the hypothesis of normality (linear configuration of the plotted points) and to produce estimates of the parameters of the distribution. We can opt for dif-ferent types of lines. In this paper, we study the influence of five types of fitted straight lines in a Normal Q-Q Plot used for construction the confidence bands based on the exact distribution of the order statistics.

Objective:To assess the clinical and microbiological characteristics as well as the risk factors of early readmission(s(APN)patients discharged from emergency department(ED).Methods:The medical records of patients discharged with a diagnosis of APN between January 1,2014 and December 31,2015 were ***,clinical,ultrasound results,and laboratory characteristics were collected,and the risk factors of prompt readmission and non-prompt readmission were ***:A total of 423 APN patients were *** mean age was(44.3±19.0)*** bulk of the patients were women(79.9%),and 20%of cases had episodes *** cultures were requested in 77.5%of cases,with Escherichia coli being the most frequently isolated bacterium(80.1%).Resistance to one or more antibiotics was found in 68.1%of the *** most widely used antibiotics were beta-lactam with beta-lactamases inhibitor(46%),and aminoglycosides in 24.4%of ***,73.5%of the patients received antibiotic treatment in the ED,and 46.8%of the patients were ***,6.1%of the patients discharged from the ED had re-admission without associated risk ***:Given the high rate of resistance,it is important to know the profile of antibiotics in different ***,the administration of antibiotics in the ED is useful in the prevention of early readmissions of APN(<72 h).
