Facies development and sedimentology of the Middle Miocene carbonates of the Raghama Formation, northeastern saudi Arabia

Ragahama Formation comprises a siliciclastic continental deposits followed by marine carbonates, representing prograding alluvial fans from adjacent high hinterlands seaward into lagoons and fringing reef environments. The present work aimed to document the facies development and sedimentology of the Raghama carbonates exposed along the eastern coastal plain of the Red sea, northwestern saudi Arabia. Four stratigraphic sections were measured and sampled(D1–D4) and thin sections and major and trace element analyses were prepared and applied for petrographic and geochemical approaches. The carbonates were subdivided into three successive fore-reef, reef-core, and back-reef depositional facies. sandy stromatolitic boundstone, microbial laminites, dolomitic ooidal grainstone, bioclastic coralline algal wackestone, sandy bioclastic wackestone, and coral boundstones were the reported microfacies types. Petrographic analysis reveals that the studied carbonates were affected by dissolution, dolomitization, and aggrading recrystallization, which affects both the original micrite matrix and grains or acts as fracture and veinlet filling leading to widespread vuggy and moldic porosity. No evidence of physical compaction, suggesting rapid lithification and recrystallization during early diagenesis and prior to substantial burial and intensive flushing by meteoric waters. Most of the original microstructure of corals were leached and destructed. This is indicated by the higher depletion in sr and Ca levels and increase in Mg,Na, Fe, and Mn levels, especially in section D1, in comparison with the worldwide carbonates.

We report on the structural,magnetic,and magnetocaloric properties of EuRhO_(3) *** oxidation states of Eu and Rh ions were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPs).It is found that the Eu ions are mainly in the divalent oxidation state while the Rh ions have+4 ***_(3) powders are found to be antiferromagnetic with a second order magnetic transition at Neel temperature(T_(N)=2.9 K).Analysis of the magnetic susceptibility versus temperature data in terms of the Curie=Weiss law:(χ=C/(T-θ_(W))) for T>T_(N),yields θ_(W)=-3.1 K and effective magne tic moment μ_(ff)^(exp),which is close to the theoretical value μ_(eff)^(theo).The magnetic entropy change(-Δ_(sM)),was determined by em ploying the thermodynam ic Maxwell's *** μ_0H=5 T and near T_(N),Δs_(M)^(Max) and relative cooling power(RCP) exhibit large values of 33.7 J/(kg·K) and 238 J/kg,*** large magnitude of-Δ_(sM) and RCP show that the EuRhO_(3) compound could be a potential candidate to be used in cryogenic magnetic refrigeration.

Effect of Conductive Fillers on the Cyclic stress-strain and Nano-scale Free Volume Properties of silicone Rubber

The effect of carbon black （CB） and graphite （G） powders on the macroscopic and nano-scale free volume properties of silicone rubber based on poly（di-methylsiloxane）（PDMs） was studied through thermal and cyclic mechanical measurements, as well as with positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy （PALs）. The melting temperature of the composites （Tm） and the endothermic enthalpy of melting （ΔHm） were estimated by differential scanning calorimetry （DsC）. Tm and the degree of crystallinity （χc） of PDMs composites were found to decrease with increasing the CB content. This can be explained due to the increase in physical cross-linking which results in a decrease in the crystallite thickness. Besides, χc was found to be dependent on the filler type. Cyclic stress-strain behavior of PDMs loaded with different contents of filler has been studied. Mullins ratio （RM） was found to be dependent on the filler type and content. It was found that, RM increases with increasing the filler content due to the increase in physical cross-linking which results in a decrease in the size of free volume, as observed through a decrease of the o-Ps lifetime τ3 measured by PALs. Moreover, the hysteresis in PDMs-CB composites was more pronounced than in PDMs-G composites. Furthermore, a correlation was established between the free volume Vf and the mechanical properties of PDMs composites containing different fillers. A negative correlation was observed between Vf and RM.

Ammonium perchlorate(AP)includes oxidizing and reducing elements on the same *** can act as an efficient oxidizer and mono-propellant as *** this study,AP experienced crystallographic phase change from orthorhombic centrosymmetric to non-centrosymmetric under controlled isothermal heat *** diffractograms confirmed this crystallographic phase *** thermal behaviour of activated AP had been investigated using *** AP demonstrated high chemical stability with an increase in endothermic phase transition enthalpy by 170%.The enthalpy of the subsequent two main exothermic decomposition reactions was increased by 250%.Whereas AP demonstrated total decomposition enthalpy of 733 J/g,activated AP showed 2614 J/*** AP can secure self-sustained response at a high *** index(combustion enthalpy/ignition temperature)was employed to assess self-sustained reaction *** AP demonstrated high propagation index of 8.7 compared with 2.5 for un-activated *** decomposition kinetic parameters had investigated using Kissinger and KAs *** AP showed an increase in activation energy by 89%using the Kissinger method;kinetic parameters using the KAs method were in good agreement with the Kissinger *** can have concluded that AP with novel kinetic decomposition parameters for enhanced safety storage and high combustion characteristics has evolved.

Co-encapsulation of probiotic bacteria,fish oil and pomegranate peel extract for enhanced white soft cheese

In this study,co-encapsulation technique was used to produce microcapsules utilized as a multi-functional delivery vehicle for valuable nutritional *** compounds including probiotic bacteria namely Bifidobacterium lactis BB12,fish oil and pomegranate peel extract(PPE)that is rich in polyphenols as revealed by HPLC *** with different formulae were produced and the encapsulation efficiency(EE)of probiotic bacteria and fish oil was *** suggest that the presence of fish oil and PPE enhanced the EE of probiotic bacteria and this positive effect increased with the increasing of the mentioned 2 ***,PPE protected the encapsulated probiotic bacteria from declining during the storage for 30 *** acted as an effective antioxidant and decreased the formation of both dienes and trienes and assisted in the preservation of the unsaturated moiety of fish oil compared to other microcapsules with no *** food application,the multi-functional microcapsules were incorporated into soft *** analysis of fish oil was carried out during cheese storage and showed similar results to those found with free *** addition,the presence of probiotic bacteria and/or PPE in microcapsules decreased the deterioration and delayed the oxidation of fish *** the other hand,probiotic survivability showed to be similar in different microcapsules incorporated into cheese.

Automated detection of parasitized Cadra cautella eggs by Trichogramma bourarachae using machine vision

Cadra(Ephestia)cautella(Walker)is a moth that attacks dates from ripening stages while on tree,throughout storage,and until consumption,causing enormous qualitative and quantitative damages,resulting in economic ***-processing algorithms were developed for detecting and differentiating between three Cadra egg categories based on the success of Trichogramma bourarachae(Pintureau and Babaul)*** categories were parasitized(black and dark red),unparasitized fertile unhatched(yellow),and unparasitized hatched(white)***,light intensity,and shape information was used to develop detection *** image processing methods were developed based on three randomly selected images and were tested on a larger validation image set of 40 images:(i)segmentation and extractions of color and morphological features followed by Watershed delineation,and is referred to as Algorithm 1(ALGO1),(ii)finding circular objects by Hough Transformation followed by convolution filtering,and is referred to as Algorithm 2(ALGO2).ALGO1 and ALGO2 achieved correct classification rates(CCRs)for parasitized eggs of 92%and 96%,*** CCRs for unhatched eggs were 48%and 94%,and for hatched eggs were 42%and 73%,*** parasitized eggs,both methods performed satisfactorily,but,in general,ALGO2 outperformed *** results ensure automatic evaluation of the efficiency of biological control of Cadra cautella by the egg parasitoid Trichogramma bourarachae by quantifying the rate of *** developed detection methods can be used by producers of biocontrol agents for online monitoring of Trichogramma and similar insect natural enemies during mass production and before release against crop ***,with few adjustments these methods can be used in similar applications such as detecting plant diseases.

Triple test cross analysis for seed yield and its components in sesame under water stress conditions

Water deficit is a limiting factor in sesame cultivars yield,thus identification of genetic mechanisms of sesame traits under water stress conditions is essential to development of water stress tolerant ***,the triple test cross(TTC)analysis in F_(2) population of the sesame cross(NA_(76)NA_(54))was ***,30 TTC families with their 13 respective parents were evaluated during the summer season 2020 under two irrigation treatments.i.e.,normal irrigation with 5952.38 m^(3) hm^(-2) of applied water,and water stress with 2976.19 m^(3) hm^(-2) of applied *** was implemented at the experimental field of Kafr el Hamam/sharkia,Agricultural Research station,Agricultural Research Center(ARC),***(D)and dominance(H)gene actions as well as epistatic and its two components of additiveadditive,additivedominance plus dominancedominance were involved in the inheritance of all studied traits under both irrigation treatments and their combined *** degree of dominance(H/D)^(0.5) verified the presence of partial dominance in most *** correlation coefficient between sums(additive)and differences(dominance)was non-significant,showing that dominant genes between lines were *** moderately water stress tolerant TTC families as the best selected families were found in families 22,25,10,12,and ***,postponing selection in these selected families to later segregating generations for all studied traits would be effective to exploit the positive effects of additiveadditive epistasis.
