Seismic attribute and well-log analysis for channel characterization in the upper San Andres and Grayburg formations of the Midland Basin,Texas

The Permian Basin is one of the most prolific,and currently one of the most active,oil and gas basins in the *** lower Permian strata in the Permian Basin have produced more than 14 billion barrels of oil(BBO),making it the largest volume of hydrocarbon in the *** in the Midland Basin during late leonardian through early Guadalupian(ca.272-269 Ma)resulted in progradation of shelf edge and ultimately closure of the basin by Middle Permian *** analyzed a merged seismic survey covering parts of the Permian Basin(i.e.,Central Basin Platform and Midland Basin)in Andrews,Ector,and Midland Counties,*** seismic survey and well logs show the presence of gently dipping(ca.1°)clinoforms in the Upper San Andres and Grayburg Formations on the eastern edge of the Central Basin Platform and western Midland *** seismic attributes,curvature,and spectral decomposition identify.low sinuosity slope channels oriented north-south,but such channels do not appear beyond the *** shelf edge shifts from north to south during deposition of the Upper San Andres and Grayburg *** identify five basinward shifts noted by the migration of the shelf edge toward the basin center and the presence of channel features along the depositional *** petrophysical analysis indicates that channels cut into carbonate rocks and are filled by siliciclastic sediments;this interpretation is supported by the most negative curvature anomalies along the channel axes caused by the differential compaction between the carbonate and siliciclastic *** are a few channels with a northwest-southeast strike,which matches the direction of the Concho lineament observed by satellite *** observations are consistent with previous interpretations of the northern Midland Basin closure during Middle-late Permian time.

AIM:To investigate tomographic features of late corneal ectasia after keratoplasty for keratoconus and compare penetrating keratoplasty(PK)and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty(DAlK)in terms of incidence,time of onset and risk factors of corneal ***:Sixty eyes with PK and 30 eyes with DAlK operated between 1999 and 2021 were *** Pentacam scans were evaluated together with vision and previous *** outcome measures were vision,K values,apparent thinning on graft-host cornea and the difference between opposing quadrants in the thinnest point *** segment optic coherence tomography was performed for further ***:Mean follow-up was 127.2mo(24–282mo)in PK,and 64.3mo(24–144mo)in DAlK.K max was higher in DAlK(60.6 vs 56.7 D,P=0.012).Inferior recipient was thinner(595.9μm)in PK than DAlK(662.2μm,P=0.021),due to longer *** corneal ectasia rate was 20.0%within *** rate was the same(6.7%)in DAlK 2/30 and in PK 4/60 in 10y and 13.3%in 12y(4/30 and 8/60,respectively).It increased to 23.3%(14/60)in PK over *** ectasia was not seen before 7y in PK,it could be seen in DAlK starting from the 5^(th) *** intervals between keratoplasty and ectasia were 144.5mo in PK and 99mo in *** recipient was significantly thinner in 18 eyes with ectasia(502.7μm)compared to 76 non-ectasia(649.1μm,P=0.000).Inferior graft was thinner(561.0 vs 620.4μm,P=0.006),K max(63.3 vs 56.5 D,P=0.000),and anterior elevation was higher in ectasia(89.1 vs 48.6μm,P=0.002).Accelerated crosslinking was performed on 5 ***:Inferior-superior recipient and inferior graft thinning on tomography,with high K max and anterior elevation emerge as the most reliable criteria for the diagnosis of late *** incidence of corneal ectasia increases with the time.

Distinct Electrical and Mechanical Responses of a Cu-10Fe Composite Prepared by Hot-Pressed Sintering and Post Treatment

B_(4)C/Al composites are widely utilized as neutron absorbing materials for the storage and transportation of spent nuclear *** order to improve the high-temperature mechanical properties of B_(4)C/Al composites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was introduced utilizing oxide on Al powder *** this study,the Al_(2)O_(3)content was adjusted by utilizing spheroid Al powder with varying diameters,thereby investigating the impact of Al_(2)O_(3)content on the tensile properties of(B_(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effect of Al_(2)O_(3)on the grain boundaries could hinder the recovery of dislocations and lead to dislocation accumulation at high *** the result,with the increase in Al_(2)O_(3)content and the decrease in grain size,the high-temperature strength of the composites increased *** finest Al powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resultant composite exhibited a maximum strength of 251 MPa at room temperature and 133 MPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional B_(4)C/Al composites.

In situ TEM investigation of electron irradiation and aging-induced high-density nanoprecipitates in an Mg-10Gd-3y-1Zn-0.5Zr alloy

In-situ electron irradiation and aging are applied to introduce high-density precipitates in an Mg-10Gd-3y-1Zn-0.5Zr(GWZ1031K,wt.%)alloy to improve the *** results show that the hardness of the Mg alloy after irradiation for 10 h and aging for 9 h at 250℃ is 1.64 GPa,which is approximately 64% higher than that of the samples before being *** is mainly attributed to γ'precipitates on the basal plane after irradiation and the high-density nanoscale β'precipitates on the prismatic plane after aging,which should be closely related to the irradiation-induced homogenous *** latter plays a key role in precipitation *** result paves a way to improve the mechanical properties of metallic materials by tailoring the precipitation through irradiation and aging.

Deep bed filtration model for cake filtration and erosion

Many phenomena in nature and technology are associated with the filtration of suspensions and colloids in porous media. Two main types of particle deposition,namely, cake filtration at the inlet and deep bed filtration throughout the entire porous medium, are studied by different models. A unified approach for the transport and deposition of particles based on the deep bed filtration model is proposed. A variable suspension flow rate, proportional to the number of free pores at the inlet of the porous medium, is considered. To model cake filtration, this flow rate is introduced into the mass balance equation of deep bed filtration. For the cake filtration without deposit erosion,the suspension flow rate decreases to zero, and the suspension does not penetrate deep into the porous medium. In the case of the cake filtration with erosion, the suspension flow rate is nonzero, and the deposit is distributed throughout the entire porous medium. An exact solution is obtained for a constant filtration function. The method of characteristics is used to construct the asymptotics of the concentration front of suspended and retained particles for a filtration function in a general form. Explicit formulae are obtained for a linear filtration function. The properties of these solutions are studied in detail.

Inclusion of CoTiO_(3) to ameliorate the re/dehydrogenation properties of the Mg–na–Al system

For the first time,the MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4)(ratio 4:1)destabilized system with CoTiO_(3) addition has been *** CoTiO_(3)-doped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) sample begins to dehydrogenate at 130℃,which is declined by 40℃ compared to the undoped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4).Moreover,the de/rehydrogenation kinetics characteristics of the CoTiO_(3)-doped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) were greatly *** the inclusion of CoTiO_(3),the MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) composite absorbed 5.2 wt.%H_(2),higher than undoped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4).In the context of dehydrogenation,the CoTiO_(3)-doped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) sample desorbed 2.6 wt.%H_(2),almost doubled compared to the amount of hydrogen desorbed from the undoped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) *** activation energy obtained by the Kissinger analysis for MgH_(2) decomposition was significantly.lower by 35.9 kJ/mol than the undoped MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) *** reaction mechanism demonstrated that new phases of MgCo and AlTi_(3) were generated in situ during the heating process and are likely to play a substantial catalytic function and be useful in ameliorating the de/rehydrogenation properties of the destabilized MgH_(2)–naAlH_(4) system with the inclusion of CoTiO_(3).

A new type of symmetry,ren-symmetry,describing anyon physics and corresponding topological physics,is ***-symmetry is a generalization of super-symmetry which is widely applied in super-symmetric physics such as super-symmetric quantum mechanics,super-symmetric gravity,super-symmetric string theory,super-symmetric integrable systems and so *** and Grassmann numbers are,in some sense,dual conceptions,and it turns out that these conceptions coincide for the ren situation,that is,a similar conception of ren-number(R-number)is devised for *** particular,some basic results of the R-number and ren-symmetry are exposed which allow one to derive,in principle,some new types of integrable systems including ren-integrable models and ren-symmetric integrable *** examples of ren-integrable KdV-type systems and ren-symmetric KdV equations are explicitly given.
