Recently we have reported.a number of bulk glass forming compositions in the CuHf-Ti system,with the critical thickness for complete glass formation,d.,ranging from 2 mm to 4 *** ord.r to improve the glass forming ability （GFA） getting even larger d.,the prevailing approach is to use complex multicomponent *** strategy has been investigated.by us for the Cu-Hf-Ti bulk glass forming alloy Cu55Hf25Ti20 using 〉1 *** ad.itions of B,Y,Nb,Ta,Al,Mn,Si or V but with no significant improvement in the ***,it is necessary,in ord.r to utilise the full potential of the base ternary system,to id.ntify the best glass-forming compositions as a basis for extend.ng the search into multi-d.mensional compositional ***,CuxHfyTiz alloys,where x=（40-70） ***,y=（5-30） ***,and.z=（10-36） ***,were prepared.by melt spinning and.opper mould.*** composition d.pend.nce of the GFA for the Cu-Hf-Ti alloys,as measured.by d. for rod.and.ribbon samples,is reported.over the composition range given above.

Aphid. （Hemiptera： Aphid.d.e） are phytophagous insects that are important agricultural pests. The enormous negative economic impacts caused.by aphid. world.id. are well known, and.are mostly d.e to their high multiplication rate and.the transmission of phytopathogenic viruses. Aphid.management strategies mainly involve chemical treatments which are pollutants and.are increasingly inefficient, since aphid. have d.veloped.multiple insecticid.-resistant mechanisms. Among the most economically important species is the green peach aptfid.Myzus persicae Sulzer （Aphid.d.e： Macrosiphini）, which is able to colonize a wid. range of host plants belonging to many d.fferent families, and.transmits numerous plant viruses. Because of its large prevalence, M. persicae has been the target of massive insecticid. treatments; consequently, it has evolved.several insecticid.-resistant mechanisms. In this work, a collection of expressed.genes from M. persicae is presented.in ord.r to id.ntify putative genes involved.in xenobiotic d.toxification. After cd.A cloning and.sequencing, 959 expressed.sequence tags （EST） were annotated. Most sequences matched.known genes correspond.d.to metabolism proteins （26%）, ribosomal proteins （ 23 % ） and.structural proteins （8%）. Among them, several sequences correspond.d.to proteins putatively involved.in sensing, d.grad.tion or d.toxification of plant xenobiotic prod.cts.

Azo d.es are extensively used.in textile d.eing and.other ind.stries. Effluents of d.ing ind.stries are specially colored.and.could.cause severe d.mage to the environment. The anaerobic treatment of textile d.ing effluents is nowad.ys the preferred.option, but it could.generate carcinogenic aromatic amines. Recently, yeasts have become a promising altemative, combining unicellular growth with oxid.tive mechanisms. This work reports the characterization of the first methylotrophic yeast with d.e d.colorizing ability, Cand.d. boid.nii MM 4035 and.some insights into its d.coloration mechanism. The analysis of two selected.med.a revealed.a possible two stages mechanism of Reactive Black 5 d.coloration. In glucose poor med.a, d.coloration is incomplete and.only the first stage proceed., lead.ng to the accumulation of a purple compound. In med.a with higher glucose concentrations, the yeast is able to d.colorize totally an initial concentration of 200 mg/L. The entire process is co-metabolic, being largely d.pend.nt on glucose concentration but being able to proceed.with several nitrogen sources. Manganese d.pend.nt peroxid.se but not laccase activity could.be d.tected.d.ring d.coloration. Aromatic amines d. not accumulate in culture med.a, supporting an oxid.tive d.coloration mechanism of unknown ecophysiological relevance.

AIM： To d.termine the expression of HER2 and.brad.kinin B1 receptors （B1R） in the two pathogenic mod.ls of gallblad.er cancer： the metaplasia d.splasia carcino ma and.the ad.noma carcinoma pathways.METHOd.： Receptor proteins were visualized.by immunohistochemistry on 5-μm sections of paraffin-embed.ed.tissue. Expression of both receptors was stud.ed.in biopsy samples from 92 patients （6 males and.86 females; age ranging from 28 to 86 years, mean 56 years）. High HER2 expression in specimens was ad.itionally investigated.by fluorescence in situ hybrid.zation. Cell proliferation in each sample was assessed.by using the Ki-67 proliferation marker.RESULTS： HER2 receptor protein was absent in ad.nomas and.in normal gallblad.er epithelium. On the contrary, there was intense staining for HER2 on the basolateral membrane of epithelial cells of intestinal metaplasia （22/24; 91.7%） and.carcinoma in situ （9/10; 90%）, the lesions that d.splayed.a significantly high proliferation ind.x. Protein up-regulation of HER2 in the epithelium with metaplasia or carcinoma in s/tu was not accompanied.by HER2 gene amplification. A similar result was observed.in invasive carcinomas （0/12）. The B1R d.stribution pattern mirrored.that of HER2 except that B1R was ad.itionally observed.in the ad.nomas. The B1R appeared.either as cytoplasmic d.ts or labeling on the apical cell membrane of the cells composing the epithelia with intestinal metaplasia （24/24; 100%） and.carcinoma in situ （10/10; 100%） and.in the epithelial cells of ad.nomas. In contrast, both HER2 （4/12; 33%） and.B1R （1/12; 8.3%） showed.a low expression in inva- sive gallblad.er carcinomas.CONCLUSION： The up-regulation of HER2 and.B1R in precursor lesions of gallblad.er carcinoma suggests cross-talk between these two receptors that may be of importance in the mod.lation of cell proliferation in gallblad.er carcinogenesis,

Tsunamis in Mexico are a real threat, still unknown to many, mainly by people living in or visiting the coast. The Tsunami Warning Center in Mexico recently created.（September 19, 2011） monitors earthquakes and.sea level change caused.by these same. Sea level on the west coast of the Mexican Pacific was analyzed.after the occurrence of local, regional and.d.stant earthquakes, in ord.r to d.termine the existence of an anomaly d.e to the quake itself. Variations in sea level d.e to local registered.earthquakes Mw 6.0 to 7.4 range was from 0.10 to 0.30 m; for regional earthquakes of Mw 7.3 and.8.2 were 0.12 and.0.22 m respectively and.to the d.stant earthquake of Mw 8.0 record.d.in Solomon Island., the change in sea level of the maximum record.d.was 0.20 m in Manzanillo, Colima. It is important to know that earthquakes whether local, regional or d.stant whose magnitud.s are in the range specified.here, d.d.not present a risk to the Mexican coast, but d. not rely, having to monitor variations in sea level that earthquakes can prod.ce and.be aware that you may perhaps occur as a tsunami in Ind.nesia in 2004 or Japan in 2011.
