The magnesium conducting solid-state polymer electrolyte PE comprising hybrid of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and magnesium bromide MgBr 2, phosphomolbidic acid (PMA) H 3 PMo 12 O 40, and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (TEGDME) as plasticizer and TiO 2 anatase as a nano-filler is prepared at various compositions by solution cast technique. The interactions between the filler and PE chains are studied by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and impedance spectroscopy. Composition of PE is optimized, and maximum conductivity is obtained at 6 wt.% TiO 2 anatase. Filler seems to increase the number of free magnesium cations by de-coordinating the bond between magnesium cations and matrix scheme. The estimated value of Mg + ion transference number is carried out by the combination of complex impedance and D. C. polarization methods and is found to be 0.52 for the highest conducting film. A solid state battery based on the above polymer electrolyte with a configuration Mg|PE|TiO 2 has exhibited a discharge capacity > 8.5 mAh/gm. The discharge characteristics are found to be satisfactory as a laboratory cell.

Malignant cells upregulate distinct energy metabolism programs that support their proliferation,migration,and adaptation to the stressful tumor microenvironment(TME).Additionally,this exaggerated metabolic activity allows cancer cells to hijack essential nutrients and outcompete neighboring infiltrating immune cells,thereby impairing antitumor *** recent years,there has been great interest in the field to understand the tumor-induced energy metabolism signals that regulate the function of immune cells in individuals with ***,it is now well accepted that uncovering the mechanisms that instruct the metabolic behavior of cancer cells and tumor-associated immune cells is an indispensable strategy for the development of new approaches to overcome immune suppression in ***,in this minireview,we briefly discuss the interaction between particular metabolic signaling pathways and immunosuppressive activity in different subsets of myeloid cells within the ***,we illustrate potential central mechanisms controlling the metabolic reprogramming of myeloid cells in response to tumor-derived factors.

Many types of research focus on utilizing Palmprint recognition in user identification and *** Palmprint is one of biometric authentication(something you are)invariable during a person’s life and needs careful protection during enrollment into different biometric authentication *** and irreversibility are critical requirements for securing the Palmprint template during enrollment and *** paper proposes an innovative HAMTE neural network model that contains Hetero-Associative Memory for Palmprint template translation and projection using matrix multiplication and dot product multiplication.A HAMTE-Siamese network is constructed,which accepts two Palmprint templates and predicts whether these two templates belong to the same user or different *** HAMTE is generated for each user during the enrollment phase,which is responsible for generating a secure template for the enrolled *** proposed network secures the person’s Palmprint template by translating it into an irreversible template(different features space).It can be stored safely in a trusted/untrusted third-party authentication system that protects the original person’s template from being *** results are conducted on the CASIA database,where the proposed network achieved accuracy close to the original accuracy for the unprotected Palmprint *** recognition accuracy deviated by around 3%,and the equal error rate(EER)by approximately 0.02 compared to the original data,with appropriate performance(approximately 13 ms)while preserving the irreversibility property of the secure ***,the brute-force attack has been analyzed under the new Palmprint protection scheme.

Palmprint identification has been conducted over the last two decades in many biometric ***-dimensional data with many uncorrelated and duplicated features remains difficult due to several computational complexity *** paper presents an interactive authentication approach based on deep learning and feature selection that supports Palmprint *** proposed model has two stages of learning;the first stage is to transfer pre-trained VGG-16 of ImageNet to specific features based on the extraction *** second stage involves the VGG-16 Palmprint feature extraction in the Siamese network to learn Palmprint *** proposed model achieves robust and reliable end-to-end Palmprint authentication by extracting the convolutional features using VGG-16 Palmprint and the similarity of two input Palmprint using the Siamese *** second stage uses the CASIA dataset to train and test the Siamese *** suggested model outperforms comparable studies based on the deep learning approach achieving accuracy and EER of 91.8%and 0.082%,respectively,on the CASIA left-hand images and accuracy and EER of 91.7%and 0.084,respectively,on the CASIA right-hand images.

This paper report the synthesis and properties of a series of composite polymer electrolytes formed by dispersion of a non-ionic organic plastic material SN （succinonitrile） into poly（vinyl alcohol） complexed with magnesium acid salt. SEM （scanning electron microscope） images of different SN concentrations of films revealed that large open pore structure were also frequently present, when SN content increase up to 7.5 wt%. The addition of SN greatly enhances ionic conductivities of the electrolytes which is due to the high polarity and diffusivity of SN. The Mg2~ （magnesium ion） ion conduction is confirmed from impedance spectroscopy and transport number measurements. The highest conducting sample in the plasticized system was used to fabricate Mg （magnesium） battery with configuration Mg/SPE/TiO2. The discharge capacity of the fabricated battery was 17.5 mAh/gm.

Global warming is majorly caused by an increase in atmospheric temperature and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions due to the rise in the temperature. The continued accumulation of CO2 into the atmosphere is a massive part of the climate change problem. This study aims to develop a data-driven statistical model using Africa’s fossil-fuel CO2 emissions real data to identify the significant attributable variables and their interaction that produce the carbon dioxide emissions. However, we have considered five attributable variables in our statistical modeling and they are Liquid fuels (Li), Solid fuels (So), Gas fuels (Ga), Gas flares (Gf) and Cement production. The development of the statistical model that contains the different emissions of fossil fuels and their interactions have been specified and ranked based on a percentage of their annual contributions to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Our proposed statistical model is compared with a different penalization method since multicollinearity among the risk factors exists and which provided excellent results according to the root mean square errors (RMSE) statistic. The results of the proposed model are compared to previous results of different countries of the world.

Evaluation of Different Treatment Regimens for Relapsed and Refractory NHL: Single Institute Experience

Background and Aim: The treatment of choice for relapsed or refractory Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) mainly, is High dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation. However, its use is mostly restricted to patients responding to salvage chemotherapy. In this study, our aim was to evaluate outcome and toxicity of different treatment modalities of relapsed and refractory NHL. Patient and Methods: This retrospective study included 217 patients were diagnosed as refractory or relapsed NHL. Those patients received different treatment modalities as GDP (Gemcitabine, dexamethasone, cisplatin), DHAP (Dexamethasone, Cytarabine, and Cisplatin), MINE (Mitoxantrone, ifosfamide, etoposide and mesna), CHOP (Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine and Prednisone), and CVP (Cyclophosphamide, vincristine and prednisone). Results: The median age of patients in the study was 50 years. Patients who received DHAP showed ORR of 62%, which was the highest response. The most common adverse effects were hematological which were more noticed in patients, received CHOP. Sixty one patients (54.5%) had anemia, 54 patients (48.2%) had neutropenia and 55 patients (49.1%) had thrombocytopenia, but the difference between the different lines of treatment wasn’t significant p value of 0.95. The median time to relapse is 10 months and the median survival time is 40 months. The 3-year PFS rates of all patients were 49.3%, while the 3 year OS rates were 54.8%. Conclusion: The overall and PFS didn’t show any difference between different lines of treatment.
