We report a novel.chemical.vapor deposition （CVD） based strateg. to synthesize carbon-coated Fe203 nanoparticl.s dispersed on g.aphene sheets （Fe2Og.C@g.. g.aphene sheets with hig. surface area and aspect ratio are chosen as space restrictor to prevent the sintering.and ag.reg.tion of nanoparticl.s during.hig. temperature treatments （800 ℃）. In the resul.ing.nanocomposite, each individual.Fe2O3 nanoparticl. （5 to 20 nm in diameter） is uniforml. coated with a continuous and thin （two to five l.yers） g.aphitic carbon shel.. Further, the core-shel. nanoparticl.s are evenl. distributed on g.aphene sheets. When used as anode material. for l.thium ion batteries, the conductive-additive-free Fe2OB@C@g.el.ctrode shows outstanding.l.＋ storag. properties with l.rg. reversibl. specific capacity （864 mAh/g.after 100 cycl.s）, excel.ent cycl.c stabil.ty （120% retention after 100 cycl.s at 100 mA/g., hig. Coul.mbic efficiency （-99%）, and g.od rate capabil.ty.

Fol.owing.an introduction, non-native species are exposed to environments that differ from those found in their native rang.; further, as these non-native species expand beyond the site of introduction, they must constantl. adapt to novel.environ- ments. Al.houg. introduced species are present across most ecosystems, few species have successful.y establ.shed themsel.es on a trul. g.0}bal.scal.. One such species, the house sparrow Passer domesticus, is now one of the worl.＇s most broadl. distributed vertebrate species and has been introduced to a g.eat part of its current rang.. To date, work on four continents sug.ests both g.- netic and phenotypic variation exists between native and introduced rang.s. As such, house sparrows represent an excel.ent op- portunity to study adaptations to novel.environments and how these adaptations are derived. The g.0}bal.distribution of this spe- cies and the mul.ipl. independent introductions to g.og.aphical.y isol.ted sites al.ow researchers to ask questions reg.rding.g.- netic variation and adaptation on a g.0}bal.scal.. Here, we summarize the mol.cul.r studies of invasive house sparrows from the earl.est work using.al.ozymes throug. more recent work on epig.netics; using.these studies, we discuss patterns of dispersal.of this species. We then discuss future directions in techniques （e.g. next g.neration sequencing. and how they wil. provide new in- sig.t into questions that are fundamental.to invasion biol.g.. Final.y, we discuss how continued research on the house sparrow in l.g.t of these g.netic chang.s and adaptations wil. el.cidate answers of adaptation, invasion biol.g., rang. expansion, and resi- l.ence in vertebrate systems g.neral.y

Purpose:The aim of this systematic review was to synthesize and appraise the evidence of the benefits of presbyopic correction on the cornea for visual.***:Comprehensive search was conducted in MEDl.NE using.keywords l.ke“presbyl.sik”,“presbyopic refractive surg.ry”,“corneal.pseudoaccommodation”and“corneal.mul.ifocal.ty”.We reviewed corrected and uncorrected visual.acuities for distance and near(uncorrected distance visual.acuity(UDVA),uncorrected near visual.acuity(UNVA),corrected distance visual.acuity(CDVA),distance corrected near visual.acuity(DCNVA),corrected near visual.acuity(CNVA)),al.ng.with the refractive outcomes in spherical.equival.nt(SE)and astig.atism comparing.the differences observed between preoperative myopic and hyperopic patients,as wel. as among.***-one studies met the incl.sion and qual.ty *** provides excel.ent distance and near uncorrected acuities,but with a 17%retreatment and a 5%reversal.*** mul.ifocal.abl.tions resul. in 12%l.ss of 2 or more l.nes of CDVA,and a 21%retreatment *** Bl.nded Vision provides excel.ent UDVA,but with a 19%retreatment *** experiences with Supracor show moderate predictabil.ty and a 22%retreatment *** resul.s in 9%l.ss of 2 or more l.nes of *** provides excel.ent UDVA,with onl. a 1%retreatment rate,but a 6%reversal.*** experiences with PresbyMAX provided excel.ent UNVA and DCNVA,showing.excel.ent predictabil.ty and a 1%reversal.***:The finding. have impl.cations for cl.nicians and pol.cymakers in the heal.h-care industry and emphasize the need for additional.trial. examining.this important and widel. performed cl.nical.procedure.

Inorg.nic arsenic induces a variety of toxicities incl.ding.cancer. The mode of action for cancer and non-cancer effects invol.es the metabol.c g.neration of trival.nt arsenical. and their reaction with sul.hydryl.g.oups within critical.proteins in various cel. types which l.ads to the biol.g.cal.response. In epithel.al.cel.s, the response is cel. death with consequent reg.nerative prol.feration. If this continues for a l.ng.period of time, it can resul. in an increased risk of cancer. Arsenical. do not react with DNA. There is evidence for indirect g.notoxicity in various in vitro and in vivo systems, but these invol.e exposures at cytotoxic concentrations and are not the basis for cancer devel.pment. The resul.ing.markers of g.notoxicity coul. readil. be due to the cytotoxicity rather than an effect on the DNA itsel.. Evidence for g.notoxicity in humans has invol.ed detection of chromosomal.aberrations, sister chromatid exchang.s in l.mphocytes and micronucl.us formation in l.mphocytes, buccal.mucosal.cel.s, and exfol.ated urothel.al.cel.s in the urine. Numerous difficul.ies have been identified in the interpretation of such resul.s, incl.ding.inadequate assessment of exposure to arsenic, measurement of micronucl.i, and potential.confounding.factors such as tobacco exposure, fol.te deficiency, and others. Overal., the data strong.0} supports a non-l.near dose response for the effects of inorg.nic arsenic. In various in vitro and in vivo model. and in human epidemiol.g. studies there appears to be a threshol. for biol.g.cal.responses, incl.ding.cancer.

AIM: To assess the ag.eement within 3 commonl. used symptom-refl.x association anal.sis (SAA) parameters investig.ting.g.stroesophag.al.refl.x disease (g.RD) in infants. METHODS: Twenty three infants with suspected g.RD were incl.ded in this study. Symptom index (SI), Symptom sensitivity index (SSI) and symptom association probabil.ty (SAP) rel.ted to coug. and irritabil.ty were cal.ul.ted after 24 h combined pH/mul.ipl. intral.minal.impedance (MII) monitoring. Throug. defined cutoff val.es, SI, SSI and SAP val.es are differentiated in normal.and abnormal. whereas abnormal.val.es point towards g.stroesophag.al.refl.x (g.R) as the orig.n of symptoms. We anal.zed the correl.tion and the concordance of the diag.ostic cl.ssification of these 3 SAA ***: Eval.ating.the g.R-irritabil.ty association, SI, SSI and SAP showed non-identical.cl.ssification of normal.and abnormal.cases in 39.2% of the infants. When irritabil.ty was taken as a symptom, there was onl. a poor inter-parameter association between SI and SSI, and between SI and SAP (Kendal.’s tau b = 0.37, P l.’s tau b = 0.36, P l.). Eval.ating.the g.R-coug. association, SI, SSI and SAP showed non-identical.cl.ssification of normal.and abnormal.cases in 52.2% of the patients. When coug. was taken as a symptom, onl. SI and SSI showed a poor inter-parameter association (Kendal.’s tau b = 0.33, P l.SION: In infants investig.ted for suspected g.RD with pH/MII-monitoring. SI, SSI and SAP showed a poor inter-parameter association and important dis-ag.eements in diag.ostic cl.ssification. These l.mitations must be taken into consideration when interpreting.the resul.s of SAA in infants.

This study l.oks into the resource assessment, technol.g. economics and model.ng.of different energ. al.ernatives and proposes a recharg.abl. battery storag.-based l.rg.-scal. wind/photovol.aic hybrid power system to meet an averag. el.ctrical.l.ad demand of 2.4 MW and peak l.ad of 2.9 MW for a remote rural.district in Ethiopia cal.ed g.l.din. The district is 682 km away from nearby g.id. The site enjoys hig. sol.r and wind resources that can be harnessed for el.ctric power g.neration to el.ctrify the community. HOMER simul.tion software is used for optimal.sizing.and techno-economic anal.sis. The diesel.g.nerator is used as back up to fil. the g.ps in case both resources are out. Averag. monthl. sol.r irradiation data of 6.2 kWh/m2 is determined from measured sunshine duration data by impl.menting.a suitabl. specific model.for the site. NASA satel.ite based estimated wind speed data of 10 years averag. at hub heig.t of 50 m for the site in question is extracted from the SWERA (Sol.r and Wind Energ. Resource Assessment) database (with annual.averag. of 6.1 m/s) and its weig.-bul. distribution parameter, k of 1.98 is estimated which indicates a fair wind speed distribution of the site to g.nerate el.ctric power using.wind turbine. The proposed optimal.system resul.s el.ctricity g.neration indicates that 92% from wind turbine, 3% from photovol.aic, 5% from diesel.g.nerator and manag.d to obtain a much l.wer cost of energ. (COE = 0.11USD/kWh) than other al.ernatives investig.ted in this study such as g.id extension and diesel.g.nerator.
