Rebuilding transformation strategies in post-Ebola epidemics in West Africa requires long-term surveillance and strengthening health system preparedness to disease *** paper assesses reconstruction efforts from socio-cultural,economic and ecological transformation response approaches and strategies in improving sustainable survivors and affected communities livelihood and wellbeing.A comprehensive approach is required in the recovery and rebuilding *** in rebuilding transformation requires fostering evidence-based and effective engaging new investors partnership strengthening,financing community-based programmes ownership,novel socio-economic innovations strategies and tools against the evolving and future Ebola ***,there should be improved community partnership,health and economic rebuilding programmes to address mistrust and care underutilization,poverty and care access inequity at all *** effective post-Ebola national‘One Health’approach coupled with climate change mitigation and adaptations strategies is urgent public health needs aiming at improving the quality healthcare access,delivery trust and uptake in anticipation of EVD immunization program,productivity and emerging economy.

Thalassemia syndrome is a genetic blood disorder induced by the reduction of normal hemoglobin production,resulting in a drop in the size of red blood *** severe forms,it can lead to *** genetic disorder has posed a major burden on public health wherein patients with severe thalassemia need periodic therapy of iron chelation and blood transfusion for ***,controlling thalassemia is extremely important and is made by promoting screening to the general population,particularly among thalassemia *** Twitter is one of the most influential social media platforms for sharing opinions and discussing different topics like people’s health conditions and major public health *** individuals’sentiments in these tweets helps the research centers to formulate strategies to promote thalassemia screening to the *** effective Lexiconbased approach has been introduced in this study by highlighting a classifier called valence aware dictionary for sentiment reasoning(VADER).In this study applied twitter intelligence tool(TWINT),Natural Language Toolkit(NLTK),and VADER constitute the three main *** represents a gold-standard sentiment lexicon,which is basically tailored to attitudes that are communicated by using social *** contribution of this study is to introduce an effective Lexicon-based approach by highlighting a classifier calledVADERto analyze the sentiment of the general population,particularly among thalassemia carriers on the social media platform *** this study,the results showed that the proposed approach achieved 0.829,0.816,and 0.818 regarding precision,recall,together with f-score,*** tweets were crawled using the search keywords,“thalassemia screening,”thalassemia test,“and thalassemia diagnosis”.finally,results showed that India and Pakistan ranked the highest in mentions in tweets by the public’s conversations on thalassemia screening with 181 and 164 tweets,respectively.

Recipe Development and Mechanical Characterization of Carbon fibre Reinforced Recycled Polypropylene 3D Printing filament

Recycled polypropylene filaments for fused filament fabrication were investigated with and without 14 wt% short fibre carbon reinforcements. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the filaments and 3D printed specimens were characterized using scanning electron microscopy and standard tensile testing. It was observed that recycled polypropylene filaments with 14 wt% short carbon fibre reinforcement contained pores that were dispersed throughout the microstructure of the filament. A two-stage filament extrusion process was observed to improve the spatial distribution of carbon fibre reinforcement but did not reduce the pores. Recycled polypropylene filaments without reinforcement extruded at high screw speeds above 20 rpm contained a centreline cavity but no spatially distributed pores. However, this cavity is eliminated when extrusion is carried out at screw speeds below 20 rpm. for 3D printed specimens, interlayer cavities were observed larger for specimens printed from 14 wt% carbon fibre reinforced recycled polypropylene than those printed from unreinforced filaments. The values of tensile strength for the filaments were 21.82 MPa and 24.22 MPa, which reduced to 19.72 MPa and 22.70 MPa, respectively, for 3D printed samples using the filaments. Surface Water Sediments Characterization Using Metallic Trace Elements (MTEs): Case of the Artisanal Gold Mining Sites of Kokumbo (Côte d’Ivoire)

The main purpose of this study is to characterize the surface sediments of the Kokumbo artisanal gold mining sites in Metallic trace Elements (MTEs). A total of 12 samples of surface water sediments were collected for this study. The samples were analyzed using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The mean concentrations of Mn (611.37 mg/kg) and Zn (955.86 mg/kg) in the sediments were very high compared to the standard in unpolluted sediments. The enrichment factor (Ef) shows that there is an enrichment of Mn at some sites (Ef (Mn) > 2). The presence of As, Mn, and Zn is also highlighted by the geo-accumulation index (I-geo) which shows slight pollution in Mn (0 for As (1 3). This study shows that the presence of Zn in the sediments is linked to artisanal gold mining activities. Indeed, Zn is much used for gold recovery. The statistical analysis (PCA) shows, on the one hand, natural mineralization of the sediments and addition of metals linked to anthropic activities corresponding to the erosion of mining discharges. The surface sediments of the Kokumbo mining sites show pollution in As, Mn, and Zn.

Crystal structures and constitution of the binary system iridium-boron

The constitution of the binary system Ir-B has been established between 10 and 70 at.% boron for temperatures above 700°C based on differential scanning calorimetry, electron probe microanalysis, and isothermal low temperature annealing experiments(≤1000°C). four binary phases have been found, namely Ir4B5+x, Ir5B4+x and the high and low temperature modification of Ir4B3-x. X-ray structure analyses were performed on single crystals of Ir4B5+x(x = 0, Ir4B5 type; space group C2/m; a = 1.05200(2), b = 0.289564(6) and c = 0.60958(1) nm, β = 91.156(2)°), Ir5B4+x(x=0, Ir5B4 type; space group I41/a; a = 0.62777(1) and b = 1.02599(2) nm) and on the low temperature modification of Ir4B3-x(x=0, Ir B0.9 type; space group Cmc21; a = 0.27728(1), b = 0.75742(2) and c = 0.73152(2) nm). The high temperature modification of Ir4B3-x(WC type; space group P6-m2; a = 0.28137(5) and c = 0.2828(1) nm) has been confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction. By means of the first-principle calculations, in combination with the evolutionary structural search algorithm, the compositions, structures and enthalpies of the Ir-B system have been investigated theoretically. Confirming the experimental observations on Ir4B5, Ir5B4 and Ir4B3, we have investigated several metastable phases at other stoichiometries, such as Ir B, Ir B2 and Ir3B2. We also proposed three thermodynamically and dynamically stable new structures of o f28-Ir4B3, o C8-Ir B and m C10-Ir3B2, which may be synthesized under certain conditions.

Determination of Levels of Asbestos fiber in Cosmetic and Non-Cosmetic Products Sold within Enugu Metropolis—Enugu State, Nigeria

Studies were carried out to determine asbestos fiber levels in cosmetic (talc powder) and non-cosmetic (gauze pad, plastic filler and ceiling tiles) products sold in market outlets within Enugu, metropolis, Enugu State, Nigeria, using standard established procedures. The samples were pretreated based on its physical make-up and the asbestos fiber levels determined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersing spectroscopy techniques. The mean range of asbestos fiber was, 0.02 - 0.06;0.01 - 0.05;0.01 - 0.04 and 0.03 - 0.06 f/cc for talc powder, gauze pads, plastic filler and ceiling tile samples respectively. The mean levels of asbestos fibers in the studied samples were within the recommended permissible limits. The samples contain asbestos fiber in the following decreasing order: ceiling tiles > talc powders > gauze pads > plastic fillers. Asbestos fiber was found present in the investigated local and foreign items sold in market outlets within the metropolis. This study shows that despite the ban on the use of asbestos in the industry in the manufacture of items meant for human use, its enforcement appears weak and lethargic and this could portend health danger especially in the use of produced items with high asbestos fiber friability such as talc powder.

Manufacturing Technique and Nutritive Value of Soumbara (Parkia biglobosa Seeds) and Dark Seed of Korhogo (Côte d’Ivoire)

Soumbara is produced in an artisanal way. This product has a relatively strong odor that is not appreciated by some consumers in Côte d'Ivoire. from surveys of women and consumers, the manufacturing technique and the motivations for consumption of soumbara were revealed. for the chemical composition, the average water content is 13.33 ± 1.52 g/100 g Mf, the average value of the ash content is 4 ± 0 g/100 g MS. The total protein and lipid levels are 16.37 ± 0.71 g/100 g DM and 21.55 ± 0.46 g/100 g DM respectively. Total carbohydrates, starch and total sugars are respectively 44.33 ± 1.46 g/100 g DM, 39.82 ± 32 g/100 g DM and 0.08 ± 0.01 mg glucose /mL. Concerning the phytochemical composition, the total polyphenols and total flavonoids have respectively contents of 2.74 ± 0.01 mg Eq AG mL of extract, and 0.82 ± 0.01 mg Eq Quer/mL of extract. The study notes that the iron and potassium contents are the most important with respectively 344.43 ± 1.20 μg/g and 174.5 ± 2.71 mg/g. The consumption survey revealed that soumbara produced in Côte d’Ivoire is relatively more consumed (55.77%) than that produced in other countries (44.23%). This artisanal product is appreciated for its taste (50.97%) and its therapeutic character (37.5%) in the form of grain (68.27%), powder (23.08%) or paste (8.65%). These data show that soumbara is very rich in nutrients, polyphenols and flavonoids. These results justify the numerous uses of this ingredient, both in food and in traditional medicine.

Physicochemical and Microbiological Properties of Bissap (Hibiscus sabdariffa) and Ginger (Zingiber officinale (L) Rose) Juices Sold in the Western Part of Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire)

Juices made from the calyx of Hibiscus sabdariffa (Malvaceae), commonly called Bissap, and the rhizome of Zingiber officinale (Zingiberaceae), known as Gnamankoudji, are widely consumed in Côte d'Ivoire. The artisanal preparation of these juices often makes their quality problematic. The aim of this study is to determine some physicochemical and microbiological properties of these drinks sold in the city of Abidjan. To do this, samples of Bissap and Gnamankoudji juices were collected near schools in the Mamie Adjoua (Yopougon) and Abobodoumé (Attécoubé) districts. Physico-chemical and microbiological analyses were performed on these collected samples. The results show that the Bissap and Gnamankoudji juices have an acid pH (2.47 and 3.71), a low protein content (0.78% and 2.11%) and a high water content (80.13% and 85.21%), respectively. The reducing sugar content ranged from 1.20% to 3.34%, with high total sugar (695 mg/mL and 812 mg/mL), low ash (0.70 ± 0.07;0.91 ± 0.01). On the other hand, these juices contain variable concentrations of minerals from one site to another (magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium and iron). Potassium is the most abundant mineral element, followed by phosphorus and magnesium. Moreover, it is observed that the Gnamankoudji juices contain vitamin C (4.67 to 5.58 mg/100mL), contrary to the Bissap juice. The microbiological analysis indicates the presence of aerobic mesophilic germs (AMG) but a total absence of pathogenic germs in all juices. The important presence of nutrients and the total absence of pathogenic germs in these drinks justify their regular consumption by the population.
