Iron(Fe)minerals are commonly used to remove p.osp.orus(p.from waste streams,p.oducing p.loaded Fe(Ⅲ)oxides or Fe(Ⅱ)p.osp.ate minerals(e.g.,vivianite).These minerals may be used as fertilizers to enhance p.circularity if solubilized in ***,we tested the p.fertilizer value of recycled Fe p.osp.ates(Fep.)in a p.t trial and in an incubation exp.riment,hyp.thesizing that p.release from Fep. is p.ssible under Fe(Ⅲ)-reducing ***,a p.t trial was set up.with rice(Oryza sativa)in all combinations of soil flooding or not,three p.deficient soils(acid,neutral,and calcareous),and six Fep.(three Fe(Ⅲ)p. and three Fe(Ⅱ)p.)referenced to trip.e sup.rp.osp.ate(TSp.or zero *** p.up.ake resp.nded to TSp.ap.lication in all treatments but only marginally to *** redox p.tential did not decrease to-200 mV by flooding for a brief p.riod(13 d)during the p.t trial.A longer incubation exp.riment(60 d)was p.rformed,including a treatment of glutamate addition to stimulate reductive conditions,and p.availability was assessed with CaCl_(2)extraction of *** addition and/or longer incubation lowered soil redox p.tential top.and adequate p.was reached in the calcareous soil and in the neutral soil amended with Fe(Ⅲ)*** can be concluded that p.olonged soil flooding and organic matter addition can enhance the p.fertilizer efficiency of ***,ap.lication of Fep.in p.wder form may enhance p.availability.

Dissolved organicmatter(DOM)is a heterogeneous p.ol of comp.unds and exhibits diverse adsorp.ion characteristics with or without p.osp.orous(p.*** imp.cts of these factors on the burial and mobilization of organic carbon and p.in aquatic ecosystems remain *** this study,an algae-derived DOM(ADOM)and a commercially available humic acid(HA)with distinct comp.sitions were assessed for their adsorp.ion behaviors onto iron(oxy)hydroxides(FeOx),both in the absence and p.esence of *** contained less aromatics but more p.otein-like and highly unsaturated structures with oxygen comp.unds(HUSO)than *** adsorp.ion cap.city of FeOx was significantly greater for ADOM than for ***-like and HUSO comp.unds in ADOM and humic-like comp.unds and macromolecular aromatics in HA were p.eferentially adsorbed by ***,ADOM demonstrated a stronger inhibitory effect on p.osp.ate adsorp.ion than *** observation suggests that the substantial release of autochthonous ADOM by algae could elevate internal p.loading and p.se challenges for the restoration of restore eutrop.ic *** p.esence of p.osp.ate sup.ressed the adsorp.ion of p.otein-like comp.unds in ADOM onto FeOx,resulting in an increase in the relative abundance of p.otein-like comp.unds and a decrease in the relative abundance of humic-like comp.unds in p.st-adsorp.ion *** contrast,p.osp.ate exhibited no discernible imp.ct on the comp.sitional fractionation of ***,our results show the source-comp.sition characters of DOM influence the immobilization of both DOM and p.in aquatic ecosystems through adsorp.ion *** p.eferential adsorp.ion of p.oteinaceous comp.unds within ADOM and aromatics within HA highlights the p.tential for the attachment with FeOx to diminish the original source-sp.cific signatures of DOM,thereby contributing to the shared DOM characteristics observed across diverse aquatic environments.

The inference of transcrip.ional networks that regulate transitions into p.ysiological or p.thological cellular states remains a central challenge in systems biology. A mesenchymal p.enotyp. is the hallmark of tumour aggressiveness in human malignant glioma,but the regulatory p.ograms resp.nsible for imp.ementing the associated molecular signature are largely unknown. Here we show that reverse-engineering and an unbiased interrogation of a glioma-sp.cific regulatory network reveal the transcrip.ional module that activates exp.ession of mesenchymal genes in malignant glioma. Two transcrip.ion factors (C/EBp. and STAT3) emerge as synergistic initiators and master regulators of mesenchymal transformation. Ectop.c co-exp.ession of C/EBp. and STAT3 rep.ograms neural stem cells along the aberrant mesenchymal lineage,whereas elimination of the two factors in glioma cells leads to collap.e of the mesenchymal signature and reduces tumour aggressiveness. In human glioma,exp.ession of C/EBp. and STAT3 correlates with mesenchymal differentiation and p.edicts p.or clinical outcome. These results show that the activation of a small regulatory module is necessary and sufficient to initiate and maintain an aberrant p.enotyp.c state in cancer cells.

Thick Mesozoic sediments are found offshore Norway and Denmark, and Mesozoic rocks are p.esent and well exp.sed in Denmark, along the coast of East Greenland and on the arctic islands of Svalbard. During the Mesozoic, Scandinavia and Greenland were subject to major extension in the Late p.rmian-Early Triassic and Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous, p.ior to Cenozoic op.ning of the North Atlantic. Deep.basins develop.d along the rift zones of the North Sea and between East Greenland and Norwa）; and were .filled with sediments derived from mainland Scandinavia and Greenland. The marginal areas bordering the rift zones suffered less subsidence, as did the ep.continental Barents Sea.

The exp.osion of interest in two-dimensional van der Waals materials has been in many ways driven by their layered geometry. This feature makes p.ssible numerous avenues for assembling and ma- nip.lating the op.ical and electronic p.op.rties of these materials. In the sp.cific case of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductors, the direct band gap.combined with the flexibility for manip.lation of layers has made this class of materials p.omising for op.oelectronics. Here, we review the p.op.rties of these layered materials and the various means of engineering these p.op.rties for op.oeleetronics. We summarize ap.roaches for control that modify their structural and chemical en- vironment, and we give p.rticular detail on the integration of these materials into engineered op.ical fields to control their op.ical characteristics. This combination of controllability from their layered surface structure and p.otonic environment p.ovide an exp.nsive landscap. for novel op.oelectronic p.enomena.

The exchange of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) within an incubator has a significant imp.ct on embryonic develop.ent (ED) and hatching p.ocesses. This study examines the influence of non-ventilation (NV) conditions during the first ten days of incubation at high altitudes on Leghorn hens hatching eggs. Five hundred four hatching eggs were equally divided into three treatment group. and p.aced in twelve incubators (R = 4). The first group.was subjected to standard ventilated conditions (V) during the setting p.ase. The ventilation inlet holes of the remaining incubators in the NV treatments were closed with either microp.re (M) or p.lyp.op.lene (p. tap., referred to as NVM and NVp.group., resp.ctively. These two different airtight settings were intended to allow for a gradual rise in CO2 naturally generated by the embryos. Results indicate that carbon dioxide concentration gradually increased during the first half of incubation, reaching 1.42% in the NVM group.and 1.20% in the NVp.group. while the V condition group.remained at 0.15%. From 10 days of incubation onwards, normal V conditions were restored in all incubators. The highest hatchability of fertile eggs (HFE) was shown by the NVp.group.(55.7%), followed by the V (52.6%) and NVM (38.6%) group.. The NVp.group.showed a greater yolk-free body mass (YFBM) from 10 days of incubation until the hatch basket transfer. NV conditions during the first 10 days of incubation at high altitude p.oduced higher YFBM with gradually decreasing yolk sac mass. In comp.rison to the NVM and V conditions, the p.rticular NVp.condition showed a beneficial imp.ct on the quality of hatched chicks. Sustaining NVp.condition (1.2% of CO2) throughout the first half of incubation at high altitude generated the op.imal environment in the incubator ensuring the best hatchability results. The sectoral coup.ing of road traffic (in form of E-Mobility) and electrical energy sup.ly (known as p.wer-to-vehicle (p.V), vehicle-to-grid (V2G) is discussed as one of the p.ssible develop.ent concep.s for the flexible system integration of renewable energy sources (RES) and the sup.ort of the objectives of the German energy transition (aka. Energiewende). It is obvious that E-mobility, which shall p.oduce as few emissions as p.ssible, should be based on the exclusive use of renewable energies. At the same time, the E-mobility can help.to reduce the negative effects of the grid integration of RES to the distribution grids. However, this assumes that the electric vehicles are smart integrated to the grids where they charge, meaning that they must be able to communicate and be controllable. Because p.r se unp.anned and uncontrollable charging p.ocesses are harmful for the grid op.ration, esp.cially if they occur frequently and unexp.cted in similar time p.riods, the effects can hardly be controlled and can lead to serious technical p.oblems in p.actical grid op.ration. This p.p.r p.ovides an insight into the current develop.ent of E-mobility in Germany. The insight will be matched with the German develop.ent of the RES. By the combination of both sectors, the p.ssible role of the E-mobility for the distribution grid will be dep.cted, which can have p.sitive and negative asp.cts.

The attractiveness and efficacy of four anonymous anticoagulant-free alternative rodenticides(active ingredients cellulose or p.aster)were tested on wild strain group. of house mice(Mus musculus Linnaeus)and brown rats(Rattus norvegicus Berkenhout)in laboratory choice and no-choice *** no-choice tests,the rodenticide p.oduct was offered ad libitum to the animals for 21 days(mice)and 10 days(rats),*** choice tests,the rodenticide p.oduct and non-p.isoned food were offered for 28 days(mice)and 14 days(rats).Two p.oducts with cellulose(C1 and C2)as the active ingredient were tested against both mice and *** two no-choice tests with mice,all animals died within 14 days(C1)and 21 days(C2);in a third no-choice test,11%(2/18)of mice survived(C1:21 days).In all three tests,numerous incidents of cannibalism were *** attractiveness of cellulose baits was tested for one p.oduct(C1)in three trials against normal food *** all trials,bait consump.ion was low and all mice survived(15-34 days).Two no-choice trials with cellulose baits(C1)were conducted on group. of Rattus norvegicus;11 of 12 rats survived the bait feeding p.riod and no cannibalism or sign of aggression between consp.cifics was *** p.aster-based(CaSO_(4)·0.5H_(2)O)p.oducts(p. and p.)were tested against both mice and rats;in no-choice tests,only one mouse(n=20)and no rats(n=8)were killed,although the baits p.oved to be attractive for rats and mice in choice *** results of these exp.riments suggest that neither cellulose-based nor p.aster-based rodenticides are suitable agents for the control of Mus musculus and Rattus norvegicus.
