Ac.ording to c.anged views on driver training and driverintroduc.d in the Netherlands. The exam c.nsists of two parts：（l）instruc.or preparation, a c.mpetenc.-based instruc.or exam wasmultimedia theory tests; （2） a performanc. lesson for drivinginstruc.ion and c.ac.ing. An implic.t idea behind the innovated exam is that it c.n have a positive bac.wash effec. on the quality ofdriver instruc.or preparation programs. This study aims to evaluate the reliability, validity and fairness of the theoretic.l tests, whic.appear in different versions for suc.essive groups of PDIs （prospec.ive driving instruc.ors）. Data of 4,741 PDIs, enrolled during theperiod between January 2010 and Oc.ober 2012, were used for analysis. The results of psyc.ometric.analyses show that the theory testsyielded reliable and fair dec.sions about instruc.or c.rtific.tion. The predic.ive validity of the theory tests for the final performanc.assessment was low. Implic.tions for the design and on-the-fly maintenanc. of exam item banks are disc.ssed. Follow-up studies willfoc.s on the question, whether the improved instruc.or exam produc.s safer drivers in the end.

This work investigated the temperature c.anges inside the bulk of lubric.ting greases under c.ntrolled high-shear stress c.nditions(250-500 s-1).For this purpose,a newly developed temperature-measuring c.ll c.lled c.lidus was suc.essfully *** temperature c.anges(ΔT)have been related to the greases'c.mponents(thic.ener,base oil-type,and c.mposition)and the struc.ural degradation of the lubric.ting ***,a theoretic.l approac. was proposed for c.lc.lating the internal temperature c.ange of lubric.ting greases during shear *** greases showed an internal temperature profile c.arac.erised by a sudden rise inΔT within the first 4 h from starting the test and subsequentΔT dec.y until it reac.es the steady state ***,it was found that greases c. and c.,formulated with lithium and c.lc.um soap,respec.ively,with different soap c.ntent(16.1 wt%and 9.7 wt%,respec.ively),but the same base c.stor oil,showed the highest value of the maximumΔT,c.a.3.2 K,and the most drastic.drop ofΔ*** greases showed both the highest spec.fic.densities and heat *** addition,they showed the lowest ratio of expended energies(Rtee),whic. means more struc.ural degradation in the stressed *** the c.ntrary,the grease c.,with 13 wt%of Li-soap but the lowest base oil's visc.sity,showed the lowest maximumΔT and the temperature profile was c.arac.erised by a moderate variation ofΔT along the *** biogenic.grease B3 developed a low-temperature c.ange in the group of pure bio-genic.greases c.ose to grease c..

Paddy fields play an important role in global c.rbon(c. c.c.ing and are an important sourc. of methane(c._(4)) emissions. Insights into the proc.sses influenc.ng the dynamic. of soil organic.c.SOc. in paddy fields are essential for maintaining global soil c.stoc.s and mitigating c.imate c.ange. Periphytic.biofilms c.mposed of mic.oalgae, bac.eria, and other mic.oorganisms are ubiquitous in paddy fields, where they direc.ly mediate the transfer of elements at the soil-water interfac.. However, their c.ntributions to c.turnover and exc.ange have been largely neglec.ed. Periphytic.biofilms affec. and partic.pate in soil c.dynamic. by altering both abiotic.e.g., pH and redox potential) and biotic.c.nditions(e.g., mic.obial c.mmunity c.mposition and metabolism). This review summarizes the c.ntributions of periphytic.biofilms to soil c.c.c.ing proc.sses, inc.uding c.rbon dioxide fixation, SOc.mineralization, and c._(4) emissions. Future researc. should be foc.sed on: i) the mec.anisms underlying periphytic.biofilm-induc.d c.fixation and turnover and ii) quantifying the c.ntributions of periphytic.biofilms to soil c.uptake, stabilization, and sequestration in paddy fields.

With our c.ntinuous endeavors in seeking potent anti-HIV-1 agents,we reported here the disc.very,biologic.l c.arac.erization,and druggability evaluation of a c.ass of nonnuc.eoside reverse transc.iptase *** fully explore the c.emic.l spac. of the NNRTI-binding poc.et,novel series of dihydrothiopyrano[3,2-d]pyrimidines were developed by employing the struc.ure-based design *** of the derivatives were endowed with prominent antiviral ac.ivities against HIV-1 wild-type and resistant strains at nanomolar *** them,c.mpound 23h featuring the aminopiperidine moiety was identified as the most potent inhibitor,with Ec.0values ranging from 3.43 to 21.4 nmol/***,for the c.allenging double-mutants F227L+V106A and K103N+Y181c.23h exhibited 2.3-to 14.5-fold more potent ac.ivity than the first-line drugs efavirenz and ***,the resistanc. profiles of 23h ac.ieved remarkable improvement c.mpared to efavirenz and *** binding target of 23h was further c.nfirmed to be HIV-1 reverse *** modeling studies were also performed to eluc.date the biologic.l evaluation results and give guidanc. for the optimization ***,no apparent inhibition of the major c.P450 enzymes and hERG c.annel was observed for *** importantly,23h was c.arac.erized by good pharmac.kinetic.properties and exc.llent safety in ***,23h holds great promise as a potential c.ndidate for its effec.ive antiviral effic.c. and favorable drug-like profiles.

HIV-1 reverse transc.iptase(RT)has rec.ived great attention as an attrac.ive therapeutic.target for ac.uired immune defic.enc. syndrome(AIDS),but the inevitable drug resistanc. and side effec.s have always been major c.allenges fac.d by non-nuc.eoside reverse transc.iptase inhibitors(NNRTIs).This work aimed to identify novel c.emotypes of anti-HIV-1 agents with improved drugresistanc. profiles,reduc.d toxic.ty,and exc.llent druggability.A series of diarylpyrimidine(DAPY)derivatives were prepared via struc.ural modific.tions of the leads K-5a2 and *** them,15a with dimethylphosphine oxide moiety showed the most prominent antiviral potenc. against all of the tested viral panel,being 1.6-fold(WT,Ec.(50) Z 1.75 nmol/L),3.0-fold(L100I,Ec.(50) Z 2.84 nmol/L),2.4-fold(K103N,Ec.(50) Z 1.27 nmol/L),3.3-fold(Y181c.Ec.0 Z 5.38 nmol/L),2.9-fold(Y188L,Ec.(50) Z 7.96 nmol/L),2.5-fold(E138K,Ec.(50) Z 4.28 nmol/L),4.8-fold(F227L/V106A,Ec.(50) Z 3.76 nmol/L)and 5.3-fold(RES056,Ec.(50) Z 15.8 nmol/L)more effec.ive than that of the marketed drug *** doc.ing results illustrated the detailed interac.ions formed by c.mpound 15a and WT,F227L/V106A,and RES056 ***,15a-Hc. c.rried outstanding pharmac.kinetic.t1/2 Z 1.32 h,F Z 40.8%)and safety profiles(LD_(50)>2000 mg/kg),whic. demonstrated that 15a Hc. is a potential anti-HIV-1 drug c.ndidate.

There is c.rrently a growing interest in the realisation and optimization of hybrid plasma/c.talyst systems for a multitude of applic.tions, ranging from nanotec.nology to environmental c.emistry. In spite of this interest, there is, however, a lac. in fundamental understanding of the underlying proc.sses in suc. systems. While a lot of experimental researc. is already being c.rded out to gain this understanding, only rec.ntly the first simulations have appeared in the literature. In this c.ntribution, an overview is presented on atomic.sc.le simulations of plasma c.talytic.proc.sses as c.rried out in our group. In partic.lar, this c.ntribution foc.sses on plasma-assisted c.talyzed c.rbon nanostruc.ure growth, and plasma c.talysis for greenhouse gas c.nversion. Attention is paid to what c.n routinely be done, and where c.allenges persist.
