The postharvest dehydration of grape berries allows the concentration of sugars and other solutes and promotes the synthesis of metabolites and aroma compounds unique to high-quality raisin wines such as the passito wines made in *** dynamic changes are dependent on environmental parameters such as temperature and relative humidity,as well as endogenous factors such as berry morphology and genotype,but the contribution of each variable is not well ***,we compared berries subjected to natural or accelerated dehydration,the latter driven by forced air *** followed the evolution of transcript and metabolite profiles and found that accelerated dehydration clearly dampened the natural transcriptomic and metabolomic programs of postharvest *** found that slow dehydration over a prolonged duration is necessary to induce gene expression and metabolite accumulation associated with the final quality traits of dehydrated *** accumulation of key metabolites(particularly stilbenoids)during postharvest dehydration is inhibited by rapid dehydration conditions that shorten the berry life time.

Objective: To review the indications and clinical evidence supporting hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HNS) therapy for the treatment of moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Methods: Peer reviewed literature on hypoglossal nerve stimulation therapy for obstructive sleep apnea from 2001 to 2016. Results: The only currently FDA-approved HNS device for the treatment of moderate-to-severe OSA is produced by Inspire Medical Systems, which recently published its 36-month outcomes data from its Stimulation Therapy for Apnea Reduction (STAR) trial. HNS therapy is currently indicated for moderate-to-severe OSA patients who are CPAP-intolerant, have a body mass index <32, apnea-hypopnea index <50, and without a concentric pattern of upper airway collapse on sleep endoscopy. Conclusions: Data from the STAR trial suggests that a subset of OSA patients can achieve a significant therapeutic response from hypoglossal nerve stimulation. However, these results may be limited in their generalizability to the broader OSA population.

Iron oxide nanoparticles（FeOx NPs, 5–30 nm size） prepared via laser ablation in liquid were supported onto Indium Tin Oxide conductive glass slides by magnetophoretic deposition（MD） technique. The resulting Fe O x@ITO electrodes are characterized by a low amount of iron coverage of 16–50 nmol/cm^2,and show electrocatalytic activity towards water oxidation in neutral phosphate buffer pH 7 with 0.58 V overpotential and quantitative Faradaic efficiency towards oxygen production. XPS analysis on the oxygen region of the FeOx films reveals a substantial hydration of the surface after catalysis, recognized as a crucial step to access reactivity.

Patients with fistulizing inflammatory bowel disease are traditionally difficult to treat. This patient population often experiences delayed or insufficient healing of fistulas using current standard regimens including anti-biotics, immunomodulators, anti-tumor necrosis factor--α drug, placement of setons, and surgical repair. Several studies over the last ten to fifteen years have been conducted using stem cell therapies with promising results in this patient population. These studies show stem cell therapy in fistulizing disease to be successful in healing between 60%--88% compared to currently 50% with infliximab. Moreover, remission was seen 24 wk to 52 wk in these studies. Further research with a multi--approach treatment using medications, stem cell therapy, and surgical interventions will likely be the future of this innovative treatment approach.
