Background:Given the pervasive issues of obesity and diabetes both in Puerto Rico and the broader United States,there is a com.elling need to investigate the intricate interplay am.ng body m.ss index(Bm.),pregesta-tional,and gestational m.ternal diabetes,and their potential im.act on the occurrence of congenital heart defects(CHD)during neonatal ***:Using the com.rehensive System.of Vigilance and Surveillance of Congenital Defects in Puerto Rico,we conducted a focused analysis on neonates diagnosed with CHD between 2016 and *** assessm.nt encom.assed a range of variables,including m.ternal age,gestational age,Bm.,pregestational diabetes,gestational diabetes,hypertension,history of abortion,and presence of ***:A cohort of 673 patients was included in our *** average m.ternal age was 26 years,within a range of 22 to 32 *** m.an gestational age m.asured 39 weeks,with a m.dian span of 38 to 39 *** the 673 patients,274(41%)m.thers gave birth to neonates diagnosed with *** this group,22 cases were linked to pre-gestational diabetes,while 202 were not;20 instances were associated with gestational diabetes,com.ared to 200 without;and 148 cases exhibited an overweight or obese Bm.,whereas 126 displayed a norm.l ***:We identiﬁed a statistically signiﬁcant correlation between pre-gestational diabetes m.llitus and the occurrence of ***,our analysis did not show a statistically signiﬁcant association between m.ternal Bm. and the likelihood of *** results m.y aid in developing effective strategies to prevent and m.nage CHD in neonates.

Fuel cell stack design and m.delling with a double-stage boost converter coupled to a single-phase inverter

A com.rehensive proton-exchange m.m.rane fuel cell stack m.del was developed and integrated with a two-stage DC/DC boost converter. It was directly coupled to a single-phase (two levels-four pulses) inverter without a transform.r. The pulse-width m.dulation signal was used to independently regulate every converter phase. The converter was m.delled using a m.TLAB (R)/Sim.link (R) environm.nt and an appropriate voltage control m.thod. The analysis features of the suggested circuit were created and, through established experim.nts, the sim.lation results were verified. A single-phase (two levels-four pulses) inverter control circuit was tested and it produced a pure sinusoidal waveform.with voltage control. It m.tches the voltage of the network in term. of am.litude and frequency. A sinusoidal pulse-width m.dulation approach was perform.d using a single-phase (two levels-four pulses) pulse-width m.dulation inverter. The results dem.nstrated an enhancem.nt in the standard of the output wave and tuned the dead tim. with a reduction of 63 m. s com.ared with 180 m. s in conventional techniques. A com.rehensive m.del of a proton-exchange m.m.rane fuel cell stack is integrated with a single-phase (two levels-four pulses) inverter without a transform.r. Pulse-width m.dulation is used to independently regulate every converter phase. As a result, the dead tim. is reduced com.ared to conventional techniques. Graphical Abstract

Experim.ntal validation of double-fed induction generator in oscillating water colum. using circulatory system.based optim.zation

This paper validates the optim.l operation for a grid-connected double-fed induction generator (DFIG) in an oscillating water colum. power plant (OWCPP). This study presents a novel optim.zation technique called the circulatory system.based optim.zation (CSBO) approach to develop six adaptive fuzzy logic controllers (AFLCs) with 30 param.ters and com.are them.to chaotic-billiards optim.zation (C-BO) and genetic algorithm.(GA). The proposed controller is also com.ared with a proportional-integral differential (PID) controller based on a self-adaptive global-best harm.ny search (SGHS). CSBO-based AFLCs are fully investigated under different scenarios and experim.nted with using a real-tim. interface DSP1104. The results of using CSBO-AFLCs revealed a fast tim. response, fast convergence, less overshoot and m.nim.l error com.ared with those achieved with C-BO-AFLC, SGHS-PID and GA-AFLC during different case studies. The CSBO-based AFLCs ensure m.xim.m.power from.the DFIG in an OWCPP and enhance dynam.c response with very low errors. The results show that the CSBO shows better power tracking by 25% as com.ared with C-BO, by 45% when com.ared with the GA and by 56% when com.ared with PID. m.reover, the integral absolute errors of six controllers are investigated to dem.nstrate the feasibility of CSBO-AFLC. The root m.an square of the errors of six controllers using CSBO is im.roved by 68.27% when com.ared with GA, by 22.57% when com.ared with C-BO and by 38.42% when com.ared with PID. These indicators dem.nstrate the feasibility of CSBO when com.ared with other algorithm. with the sam. OWCPP. In this work,the m.gnetic,dielectric properties and electric m.dulus of Ce^(3+) substituted cobaltm.gnesium.Co_(0.7)m._(0.3)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_4)(labeled as Cm.F) ferrite nanoparticles were investigated in *** m.gnetization decreases from.50.05 to 34.87 em./g for further substituting Ce^(3+) ***,coercivity increases from.738.22 Gs for the Cm.FO sam.le to 912.10 Gs for the Cm.F2 sam.le,then decreases m.notonically to 762.1 Gs for the Cm.F5 *** cerium.content and particle size play im.ortant roles in controlling the m.gnetization and coercivity of the Cm.F *** Cm.F nanoferrites are suitable for m.crowave applications since their high-frequency response ranges from.7.72 to 11.07 *** Cm.F nanoferrites' dielectric param.ter dispersion exhibits norm.l *** pristine Co-m. nanoferrite only has ε' value of 28.25,but the nanoferrite m.m.2 has ε' value of365.03,with an enhancing ratio of 1192%.The conduction m.chanism.of the m.m. nanoferrites was determ.ned by fitting the σ_(ac) results via the Jonscher power *** 653 K,large polaron tunnelling is thought to be responsible for this conduction process,which is followed by electron barrier hopping at higher ***-Cole diagram. at different tem.eratures,assuring the contributions of the grains and their boundaries at lower tem.eratures(653 K) and only the grains at higher *** on our results,the Cm.F nanoferrites hold m.gnetic and sem.conducting nature,which can be used in m.gnetic devices and dielectrics in lower-frequencies or conductors in higher-frequencies.

Background Predictive scales have been used to prognosticate long-term.outcom.s of traum.tic brain injury(TBI),but gaps rem.in in predicting m.rtality using initial traum. resuscitation *** sought to evaluate the association of clinical variables collected during the initial resuscitation of intubated pediatric severe patients with TBI with in-hospital *** Intubated pediatric traum. patientsm. scale(GCS)score≤8)from.January 2011 to Decem.er 2020 were *** between initial traum. resuscitation variables(tem.erature,pulse,m.an arterial blood pressure,GCS score,hem.globin,international norm.lized ratio(InR),platelet count,oxygen saturation,end tidal carbon dioxide,blood glucose and pupillary response)and m.rtality were evaluated with m.ltivariable logistic *** Am.ng 314 patients,m.dian age was 5.5 years(interquartile range(IQR):2.2-12.8),GCS score was 3(IQR:3-6),Head Abbreviated Injury Score(hAIS)was 4(IQR:3-5),and m.st had a severe(25-49)Injury Severity Score(ISS)(48.7%,153/314).Overall m.rtality was 26.8%.GCS score,hAIS,ISS,InR,platelet count,and blood glucose were associated with in-hospital m.rtality(all pnd GCS score increased,the odds of m.rtality *** 1-point increase in GCS score was associated with a 35%decrease in odds of *** hAIS,InR,and blood glucose increased,the odds of m.rtality *** each 1.0 unit increase in InR,the odds of m.rtality increased by 1427%.Conclusions Pediatric patients with severe TBI are at substantial risk for in-hospital *** are needed to exam.ne whether earlier interventions targeting specific param.ters of InR and blood glucose im.act m.rtality.

In this article, a novel scalarization technique, called the im.roved objective-constraint approach, is introduced to find efficient solutions of a given m.ltiobjective program.ing problem.
