Harnessing the frequency dimension in integrated photonics offers key advantages in terms of scalability, noise resilience, parallelization, and compatibility with telecom multiplexing *** ring resonators have been used to generate frequency-entangled states through spontaneous four-wave mixing. However, state-of-the-art integrated resonators are limited by trade-offs among size,spectral separation, and efficient photon pair generation. We have developed silicon ring resonators with a footprint below 0.05 mm2providing more than 70 frequency channels separated by 21 GHz. We exploit the narrow frequency separation to parallelize and independently control 34 single qubit-gates with a single set of three off-the-shelf electro-optic devices. We fully characterize 17 frequency-bin maximally entangled qubit pairs by performing quantum state tomography. We demonstrate for the first time, we believe, a fully connected five-user quantum network in the frequency domain. These results are a step towards a generation of quantum circuits implemented with scalable silicon photonics technology, for applications in quantum computing and secure communications.

This study assesses the capability of a coarse-resolution ocean model to replicate the response of the Southern Ocean meridional Overturning Circulation(mOC) to intensified westerlies,focusing on the role of the eddy transfer coefficient(κ).κ is a parameter commonly used to represent the velocities induced by unresolved *** findings reveal that a stratification-dependent κ,incorporating spatiotemporal variability,leads to the most robust eddy-induced mOC response,capturing 82% of the reference eddy-resolving *** the eddy-induced velocity into its vertical variation(VV) and spatial structure(SS) components unveils that the enhanced eddy compensation response primarily stems from an augmented SS term,while the introduced VV term weakens the ***,the temporal variability of the stratification-dependent κ emerges as a key factor in enhancing the eddy compensation response to intensified *** experiment with stratification-dependent κ exhibits a more potent eddy compensation response compared to the constant κ,attributed to the structure of κ and the vertical variation of the density *** results underscore the critical role of accurately representing κ in capturing the response of the Southern Ocean mOC and emphasize the significance of the isopycnal slope in modulating the eddy compensation mechanism.

In scanning probe microscopy(SPm),a sharp tip scans across a sample to produce an image with nanometer-scale resolution or better. SPm contrast is derived from the physical interplay between the tip and the sample. A special class of SPm techniques measures forces when the tip–sample junction is illuminated by an external light source. Photo-induced forces can be sensitive to the optical properties of the sample, thus enabling nanoscale imaging with spectroscopic,material-specific contrast.

This study is the first to evaluate the phytochemical content and biological properties of Tunisian *** Scop.A total of 23 compounds of essential oils were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-mS)analysis of bracts and fruit *** results show that oxygenated monoterpenes were the dominant class of essential *** phenolic composition was investigated by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionizationtime of flight(mALDI-TOF).The analysis showed that the chemical profiles of the ethanolic extracts of bracts and fruits are substantially *** highest polyphenol content was found in the ethanolic extracts of the fruits(7.65 mg gallic acid equivalents(GAE).g−1 on dry weight(DW).As for the antioxidant capacity,it was recorded in the essential oils of the fruits(IC_(50)=0.91 ***^(−1)).The results obtained showed that the antioxidant activity of the fruit essential oil was higher than that of the ethanol *** fruit essential oil was also found to have the highest reducing power(IC_(50)=0.67 ***^(−1)).In terms of iron-chelating power,fruit essential oil has the highest chelating power(IC_(50)=2.03 ***^(−1)).Compared to the ethanolic extract,the essential oil had the maximum antioxidant *** enzymatic activity of acetylcholinesterase(AChE)inhibition of the essential oil from *** bracts had the most potent inhibitory effect(IC_(50)=0.77 ***^(−1)),followed by the essential oil from the fruits(IC_(50)=0.95 ***^(−1)).The results suggest that *** can be used as a potential source of naturally occurring bioactive compounds and antioxidants.
