Sesame is mainly cultivated under traditional,low-input *** breeding developments promoted the modernization and mechanization of sesame ***,only a few articles have been published concerning fertilization requirements for both modern and traditional *** field trials at two loc.tions,we determined the response of irrigated sesame to nitrogen(N).three promising sesame lines were tested combining two irrigation levels with four N *** a high irrigation level,N had a significant effect on growth,branching,and consequently,seed yield exceeding two-ton ha^(-1).A high N doze was accompanied by a decrease in the photosynthetic rate and leaf water *** δ^(13)c confirmed lower stomatal conductance under high N *** defic.t irrigation,the N level had a minor effect on the monitored parameters,indic.ting N fertilization was not *** oil content was negatively correlated with seed N *** results question the necessity of N applic.tion when water is limited,as N fertilization promotes vigorous development that rapidly depletes soil ***,water availability should be considered when developing an N management *** high-yielding agro-systems,roughly 80–120 kg ha^(-1)N is required for optimal yield,bearing in mind the negative association between seed-N and oil content.

确定了构造活动区发育的第三纪矿脉系统中方解石的同位素组成及其流体包裹体的氘含量。矿脉系统由3组不同走向的方解石脉(Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ)组成,根据穿切关系确定了它们的相对年龄。每组脉具有其特征的方解石δ^(18)O和δ^(13)c值:第Ⅰ组为-7.9‰和+1.59‰;第Ⅱ组为-15.3‰和+0.54‰;第Ⅲ组为-15.9‰和+1.73‰,而最老的一组(Ⅰ)的流体包裹体δD(-23.9‰)与以色列海岸平原雨水和地下水的流体包裹体δD相似,最年轻的一组(Ⅲ)的δD值(-49.6‰)与Hermon山的雨水和地下水的相似,可以认为δD的差异是由于同位素“高程效应”造成的。结论是,水文系统的主要变化与Hermon山区的形成及其高程有关,利用大气降水中δ^(18)O和δD之间的关系计算了第Ⅰ组(35℃)第第Ⅱ组(64℃)矿脉的形成温度,形成温度表明本区矿脉发生在浅部(1.7km)。方解石δ^(18)c表明,围岩是脉状方解石的来源,并且由于压力释放δ^(13)c有约1‰的变化。根据方解石的溶解度取决于压力和造成水力压裂及压力下降后不断增加的孔隙压力循环,讨论了矿脉形成的比较普遍的模式。

Objectives: Preeclampsia is one of the most serious complic.tions of pregnancy . Free radical damage has been implic.ted in the pathophysiology of this conditi on. In this study, we aimed to measure the antioxidant capac.ty in plasma sample s from normotensive and preeclamptic pregnant women to evaluate their antioxidan t status using a more recently developed automated measurement method. Study des ign: Our study group contained 42 women, 24 of whom had preeclampsia, while 18 had normotensive pregnancies. We measured the total plasma antioxidant capac.ty for all patients, as well as the levels of fou r major individual plasma antioxidant components; albumin, uric acid, ascorbic a cid and bilirubin, and as a reciprocal measure, their total plasma peroxide leve ls. Results: Statistically significant differences (determined using Student’s t-test) were noted between the normotensive and the preeclamptic groups for the ir total antioxidant responses and their vitamin c levels (1.31±0.12 mmol versu s 1.06±0.41 mmol trolox eq./L; 30.2±17.83 μmol/L versus 18.1±11.37 μmol/L, respectively), which were both considerably reduced in the preeclamptic patients . In contrast, the total plasma peroxide levels were significantly elevated in t his group (49.8±14.3 μmol/L versus 38.8±9.6 μmol/L). conclusions: We found a decreased total antioxidant response in preeclamptic patients using a simple, r apid and reliable automated colorimetric assay, which may suitable for use in an y routine clinical biochemistry laboratory, and considerably facilitates the ass essment of this useful clinical parameter. We suggest that this novel method may be used as a routine test to evaluate and follow up of the levels of oxidative stress in preeclampsia.

Objective: to investigate spontaneous endometrial apoptosis in women with unexplained infertility and to find out whether there is a possible relationship between endometrial apoptosis, age, and hormonal parameters. Study design: this study was designed as a prospective, case-controlled study in a University Hospital setting. A total of 34 endometrial biopsies were performed from 17 women with unexplained infertility and 17 fertile controls, who were admitted for tubal ligation. Endometrium was sampled on the seventh post-ovulatory day. On the same day of endometrial sampling, serum levels of FSH, LH, PRL, tSH, E2, progesterone, 17α - hydroxyprogesterone, testosterone and DHEA- S were determined. Endometrial glandular and stromal apoptosis were investigated by DNA nick end labeling (tUNEL) method on each sample. Endometrial apoptotic index was calculated and correlated with age and hormonal parameters. Results: there was no difference in either endometrial glandular apoptotic index (AI) or stromal AI between the groups. However, the mean glandular AI was significantly higher than the mean stromal AI (p = 0.0001). there was a strong correlation between endometrial AI and age (r = 0.91, p = 0.02). Serum t levels were significantly found to be decreased in the unexplained infertility group (p = 0.0001). In addition, serum tSH levels were positively correlated with AI in the glandular endometrium in women with unexplained infertility (r = 0.611, p = 0.009) conclusion: Endometrial apoptosis increases with age. Serum levels of testosterone were lower in unexplained infertility. the effect of serum tSH levels on apoptosis in the glandular epithelium of the endometrium needs further studies.

We performed a prospective study to detect the cell cycle changes in luteinized granulosa cells in patients undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation with GnRH analog and gonadotropin therapy. Aneuploid DNA content was observed in 37 of 70 women (52.9%), and multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that only the dose of gonadotropins used significantly predicted the ploidy status of granulosa cells, which indic.tes that ovarian hyperstimulation in IVF treatment might be detrimental for the DNA content of granulosa cells.
