lncRNA SNHG4 enhanced gastric cancer progression by modulating miR-409-3p/CREB1 axis

Objective:Gastric cancer (GC) is a globally common cancer characterized by high incidence and mortality worldwide. Advances in the molecular understanding of GC provide promising targets for GC diagnosis and therapy. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and their downstream regulators are regarded to be implicated in the progression of multiple types of malignancies. Studies have shown that the lncRNA small nucleolar RNA host gene 4 (SNHG4) serves as a tumor promoter in various malignancies, while its function in GC has yet to be characterized. Therefore, our study aimed to explore the role and underlying mechanism of SNHG4 in GC.Methods:We used qRT-PCR to analyze SNHG4 expression in GC tissues and cells. Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to assess the correlation between SNHG4 expression and the survival rate of GC patients. Cellular function experiments such as CCK-8, BrdU, colony formation, flow cytometry analysis, and transwell were performed to explore the effects of SNHG4 on GC cell proliferation, apoptosis, cell cycle, migration, and invasion. We also established xenograft mouse models to explore the effect of SNHG4 on GC tumor growth. Mechanically, dual luciferase reporter assay was used to verify the interaction between SNHG4 and miR-409-3p and between miR-409-3p and cAMP responsive element binding protein 1 (CREB1).Results:The results indicated that SNHG4 was overexpressed in GC tissues and cell lines, and was linked with poor survival rate of GC patients. SNHG4 promoted GC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion while inhibiting cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest . The experiment indicated that SNHG4 facilitated GC tumor growth. Furthermore, SNHG4 was demonstrated to bind to miR-409-3p. Moreover, CREB1 was directly targeted by miR-409-3p. Rescue assays demonstrated that miR-409-3p deficiency reversed the suppressive impact of SNHG4 knockdown on GC cell malignancy. Multi boron-doping effects in hard carbon toward enhanced sodium ion storage

Hard carbon （HC） has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

Magnetron sputtered nickel oxide with suppressed interfacial defect states for efficient inverted perovskite solar cells

Widely used spin-coated nickle oxide （NiOx） based perovskite solar cells often suffer from severe interfacial reactions between the NiOxand adjacent perovskite layers due to surface defect states,which inherently impair device performance in a long-term view,even with surface molecule *** this study,we developed high-quality magnetron-sputtered NiOxthin films through detailed process optimization,and compared systematically sputtered and spin-coated NiOxthin film surfaces from materials to *** sputtered NiOxfilms exhibit improved crystallinity,smoother surfaces,and significantly reduced Ni3+or Ni vacancies compared to their spin-coated ***,the interface between the perovskite and sputtered NiOxfilm shows a substantially reduced density of defect *** solar cells （PSCs） fabricated with our optimally sputtered NiOxfilms achieved a high power conversion efficiency （PCE） of up to 19.93%and demonstrated enhanced stability,maintaining 86.2% efficiency during 500 h of maximum power point tracking under one standard sun ***,with the surface modification using (4-(2,7-dibromo-9,9-dimethylacridin-10（9H）-yl)butyl)p hosphonic acid （DMAcPA）,the device PCE was further promoted to 23.07%,which is the highest value reported for sputtered NiOxbased PSCs so far.

Aligning enhanced feature representation for generalized zero-shot learning

Abstract Constructing an effective common latent embedding by aligning the latent spaces of cross-modal variational autoencoders （VAEs） is a popular strategy for generalized zero-shot learning （GZSL）.However,due to the lack of fine-grained instance-wise annotations,existing VAE methods can easily suffer from the posterior collapse *** this paper,we propose an innovative asymmetric VAE network by aligning enhanced feature representation （AEFR） for *** from general VAE structures,we designed two asymmetric encoders for visual and semantic observations and one decoder for visual ***,we propose a simple yet effective gated attention mechanism （GAM） in the visual encoder for enhancing the information interaction between observations and latent variables,alleviating the possible posterior collapse problem *** addition,we propose a novel distributional decoupling-based contrastive learning （D2-CL） to guide learning classification-relevant information while aligning the representations at the taxonomy level in the latent representation *** experiments on publicly available datasets demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of our *** source code is available at https://***/seeyourmind/AEFR.

Porous organic cages(POCs)with permanent porosity and excellent host–guest property hold great potentials in regulating ion transport behavior,yet their feasibility as solid-state electrolytes has never been testified in a practical ***,we design and fabricate a quasi-solid-state electrolyte(QSSE)based on a POC to enable the stable operation of Li-metal batteries(LMBs).Benefiting from the ordered channels and cavity-induced anion-trapping effect of POC,the resulting POC-based QSSE exhibits a high Li+transference number of 0.67 and a high ionic conductivity of 1.25×10^(−4) S cm^(−1) with a low activation energy of 0.17 *** allow for homogeneous Li deposition and highly reversible Li plating/stripping for over 2000 *** a proof of concept,the LMB assembled with POC-based QSSE demonstrates extremely stable cycling performance with 85%capacity retention after 1000 ***,our work demonstrates the practical applicability of POC as SSEs for LMBs and could be extended to other energy-storage systems,such as Na and K batteries.
