Influence of sea-land breeze on the formation and dissipation of severe dense fog and its burst reinforcement in the Yellow Sea coastal area,China

Based on the global reanalysis data of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction(NCEP)/National Center for Atmospheric Research,the surface meteorological observation data,sounding data and satellite observation data,this paper comprehensively analyzes the evolution process and formation mechanism of a persistent severe dense fog process occurred on February 15–17,2015 in Yancheng,eastern *** the numerical simulation experiment of Weather Research and Forecast(WRF)model,we further analyze the impact of sea-land breeze on the formation and burst reinforcement of *** show that the precipitation caused by the southwesterly airflow in front of the upper-level trough and the low-pressure inverted trough are conducive to the formation of early rain fog,while the nighttime clear radiance under the control of surface cold high and the infiltration of weak cold advection are conducive to the formation and development of later radiation-advection *** WRF model simulates the fog evolution process,which is basically consistent with the actual fog area,and the simulation results are credible to a certain *** simulation results show that the establishment of sea breeze has an advection cooling effect on the near surface layer,which is conducive to the formation and development of the inversion layer on the near surface,providing stable stratification conditions for the formation and burst reinforcement of *** one hand,the strengthening of sea breeze circulation can continuously transport water vapor to the study *** the other,the occurrence of ultra-low level jet is favorable for the accumulation of low-level water *** the same time,the inversion intensity further strengthens,which is in favor of the burst reinforcement and long-term maintenance of fog.

Study on Bone Mineral Density and its Influencing Factors among 1214 Older Adults in Xuhui District,Shanghai

Objective To understand the status of the forearm bone mineral density （BMD） in older adults, and to identify the potentialfactors influencing BMD. Methods A total of 1 214 older adults were examined, in Tianlin, Fenglin and Xietu sub-districts, of Xuhui district, Shanghai. BMD was tested at the left forearm, including distal radius and ulna 1/3 total, distal radius where the distance of radius and ulna is 8 mm, ultra-distal radius, by single energy X-ray densitometer. Results The BMD at all of the four sites decreased with the age increased. The average BMD was higher in male than in female for the same age and measured site. Distal radius 1/3 total had the highest BMD among the four sites. The incidence of low BMD and osteoporosis in distal forearm 1/3 radius total ascended with the age increased. Multiplied logistic regression showed that males had a lower risk to be low BMD （OR=0. 19） compared with female. Compared with the group aged from 50 to 54, the odds ratio in the group aged from 55 to 59, 60 to 64, and 65 to 70 were respectively 3.17, 5.13, 15.03. Compared with those whose monthly salary was less than 1 000, the odds ratio was O. 70 in those whose salary was more than 1 000. Conclusion The incidence of low BMD was high in older adults, and it is related with sex, age, monthly salary.

Carbon capture in power sector of China towards carbon neutrality and its comparison to renewable power

CO_(2)capture from coal power plants is an important and necessary solution to realizing carbon neutrality in China,but ccs demonstration deployment in power sector is far behind ***,the reduction potential of energy consumption and cost for CcS and its competitiveness to renewable powers are very important to make roadmaps and policies toward carbon *** the popular recognition that capturing CO_(2)from flue gases is technically and commercially mature,this paper notes that it has been proved to be technically feasible but far beyond technology maturity and high energy penalty leads to its immaturity and therefore causes high ***,the potential energy penalty reduction of capture is investigated thermodynamically,and future CO_(2)avoidance cost is predicted and compared to renewable power(solar PV and onshore wind power).Results show that energy penalty for CO_(2)capture can be reduced by 48%-57%.When installation capacity reaches a similar scale to that of solar PV in China(250 GW),CO_(2)capture cost in coal power plants can be reduced from the current 28-40 USs/ton to 10-20 USs/ton,and efficiency upgrade contributes to 67%-75%in cost reduction for high coal price *** China,CO_(2)capture in coal power plants can be cost competitive with solar PV and onshore wind *** it is worth noting that the importance and share of CCS role in CO_(2)emission reduction is decreasing since renewable power is already well deployed and there is still a lack of large-scale CO_(2)capture demonstrations in *** capture technologies with low energy penalties need to be developed to promote *** in this work can provide informative references for making roadmaps and policies regarding CO_(2)emission reductions that contribute towards carbon neutrality.

BL03HB: a Laue microdiffraction beamline for both protein crystallography and materials science at SSRF

A Laue microdiffraction beamline(BL03HB) was constructed at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF).This beamline features two consecutive focusing points in two different sectors within its end station, the first dedicated to protein crystallography and the other tailored to materials science applications. Based on a superbend dipole magnet with a magnetic field of 2.29 T, a two-stage focusing design was implemented with two sets of Kirkpatrick-Baez mirrors to achieve a micro white beam as small as 4.2 μ m ×4.3 μ m at the first sector and 0.9 μ m ×1.3 μ m at the second sector in the standard beamline operation mode at SSRF. The X-ray microbeam in the two sectors can be easily switched between monochromatic and white beams by moving a four-bounce monochromator in or out of the light path, respectively. In the protein crystallography sector, white-beam Laue microdiffraction was demonstrated to successfully determine the structure of protein crystals from only a few images of diffraction data collected by a Pilatus 2 M area detector. In the materials science sector,the white-beam Laue diffraction was collected in a reflection geometry using another Pilatus 2 M area detector, which could map the microstructural distribution on the sample surface by scanning the samples. In general, the BL03HB beamline promotes the application of Laue microdiffraction in both protein crystallography and materials science. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the BL03HB beamline, end station, and the first commission results.

Xuebijing improves intestinal microcirculation dysfunction in septic rats by regulating the VEGF-A/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway

Acoustofluidics-enhanced biosensing with simultaneously high sensitivity and speed

Simultaneously achieving high sensitivity and detection speed with traditional solid-state biosensors is usually limited since the target molecules must passively diffuse to the sensor surface before they can be *** techniques have been applied to shorten the diffusion time by continuously moving molecules through the biosensing ***,the binding efficiencies of the biomolecules are still limited by the inherent laminar flow inside microscale *** this study,focused traveling surface acoustic waves were directed into an acoustic microfluidic chip,which could continuously enrich the target molecules into a constriction zone for immediate detection of the immune reactions,thus significantly improving the detection sensitivity and *** demonstrate the enhancement of biosensing,we first developed an acoustic microfluidic chip integrated with a focused interdigital transducer;this transducer had the ability to capture more than 91%of passed ***,polystyrene microbeads were pre-captured with human IgG molecules at different concentrations and loaded for detection on the *** representative results,~0.63,2.62,11.78,and 19.75 seconds were needed to accumulate significant numbers of microbeads pre-captured with human IgG molecules at concentrations of 100,10,1,and 0.1 ng/mL(~0.7 pM),respectively;this process was faster than the other methods at the hour level and more sensitive than the other methods at the nanomolar *** results indicated that the proposed method could significantly improve both the sensitivity and speed,revealing the importance of selective enrichment strategies for rapid biosensing of rare molecules.

Objective: To determine whether monotropein has an anticancer effect and explore its potential mechanisms against colorectal cancer(CRC) through network pharmacology and molecular docking combined with experimental verification. Methods: Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict potential targets of monotropein against CRC. Cell counting kit assay, plate monoclonal assay and microscopic observation were used to investigate the antiproliferative effects of monotropein on CRC cells HCT116, HT29 and LoVo. Flow cytometry and scratch assay were used to analyze apoptosis and cell cycle, as well as cell migration, respectively in HCT116, HT29, and LoVo cells. Western blotting was used to detect the expression of proteins related to apoptosis, cell cycle, and cell migration, and the expression of proteins key to the Akt pathway. Results: The Gene Ontology and Reactome enrichment analyses indicated that the anticancer potential of monotropein against CRC might be involved in multiple cancer-related signaling pathways. Among these pathways, RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase(Akt1, Akt2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6(CDK6), matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9), epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), cell division control protein 42 homolog(CDC42) were shown as the potential anticancer targets of monotropein against CRC. Molecular docking suggested that monotropein may interact with the 6 targets(Akt1, Akt2, CDK6, MMP9, EGFR, CDC42). Subsequently, cell activity of HCT116, HT29 and LoVo cell lines were significantly suppressed by monotropein(Permore, our research revealed that monotropein induced cell apoptosis by inhibiting Bcl-2 and increasing Bax, induced G_1–S cycle arrest in colorectal cancer by decreasing the expressions of CyclinD1, CDK4 and CDK6, inhibited cell migration by suppressing the expressions of CDC42 and MMP9(Per role through Akt signaling pathway. Presently,integrating multi-omics information into a prediction model has become a ameliorate strategy for genomic selection to improve genomic prediction ***,we set the genomic and transcriptomic data as the training population data,using BSLMM,TWAS,and eQTL mapping to prescreen features according to |β_(b)|>0,top 1%of phenotypic variation explained(PVE),expression-associated single nucleotide polymorphisms(eSNPs),and egenes(false discovery rate(FDR)ere these loci were set as extra fixed effects(named GBLUP-Fix)and random effects(GFBLUP)to improve the prediction accuracy in the validation population,*** results suggested that both GBLUP-Fix and GFBLUP models could improve the accuracy of longissimus dorsi muscle(LDM),water holding capacity(WHC),shear force(SF),and pH in Huaxi cattle on average from 2.14 to 8.69%,especially the improvement of GFBLUP-TWAS over GBLUP was 13.66%for *** methods also captured more genetic variance than *** study confirmed that multi-omics-assisted large-effects loci prescreening could improve the accuracyofgenomic prediction.
