The metal-lightweighted electrocatalysts for water splitting are highly desired for sustainable and economic hydrogen energy deployments,but *** this work,a low-content Ni-functionalized approach triggers the high capability of black phosphorene(BP)with hydrogen and oxygen evolution reaction(Her/Oer)*** a facile in situ electro-exfoliation route,the ionized Ni sites are covalently functionalized in BP nanosheets with electron redistribution and controllable metal *** is found that the as-fabricated Ni-BP electrocatalysts can drive the water splitting with much enhanced Her and Oer *** 1.0 M KOH electrolyte,the optimized 1.5 wt%Nifunctionalized BP nanosheets have readily achieved low overpotentials of 136 mV for Her and 230 mV for Oer at 10 mA cm^(−2).Moreover,the covalently bonding between Ni and P has also strengthened the catalytic stability of the Ni-functionalized BP electrocatalyst,stably delivering the overall water splitting for 50 h at 20 mA cm^(−2).Theoretical calculations have revealed that Ni–P covalent binding can regulate the electronic structure and optimize the reaction energy barrier to improve the catalytic activity *** work confirms that Ni-functionalized BP is a suitable candidate for electrocatalytic overall water splitting,and provides effective strategies for constructing metal-lightweighted economic electrocatalysts.

Decreasing of layer thickness causes the decrease of polarization until it disappears due to the existence of depolarization ***,the search for strong piezoelectric materials is highly desirable for multifunctional ultra-thin piezoelectric ***,we propose a common strategy for achieving strong piezoelectric materials through the electronic asymmetry induced by the intrinsically asymmetric atomic character of different chalcogen ***,in the tetrahedral lattice structures,for example,M4X3Y3(M=Pd/Ni,X/Y=S,Se or Te,X≠Y)monolayers are proved to display excellent out-of-plane ***4Se3Te3 possesses the largest piezoelectric coefficient d33 of 61.57 pm/V,which is much larger than that of most 2D *** the electronic asymmetry further increases the out-of-plane piezoelectricity of Janus M4X3Y3 ***,the out-of-plane piezoelectricity is positively correlated with the ratio of electronegativity difference(Red)and the electric dipole moment(P).This work provides alternative materials for energy harvesting nano-devices or self-energized wearable devices,and supplies a valuable guideline for predicting 2D materials with strong out-of-plane piezoelectricity.

Free-viewpoint video allows the user to view objects from any virtual perspective,creating an immersive visual *** technology enhances the interactivity and freedom of multimedia ***,many free-viewpoint video synthesis methods hardly satisfy the requirement to work in real time with high precision,particularly for sports fields having large areas and numerous moving *** address these issues,we propose a freeviewpoint video synthesis method based on distance field *** central idea is to fuse multiview distance field information and use it to adjust the search step size *** step size search is used in two ways:for fast estimation of multiobject three-dimensional surfaces,and synthetic view rendering based on global occlusion *** have implemented our ideas using parallel computing for interactive display,using CUDA and OpenGL frameworks,and have used real-world and simulated experimental datasets for *** results show that the proposed method can render free-viewpoint videos with multiple objects on large sports fields at 25 ***,the visual quality of our synthetic novel viewpoint images exceeds that of state-of-the-art neural-rendering-based methods.

Although the internal electric field(IEF)of photocatalysts is acknowledged as a potent driving force for photocharge separation,modulating the IEF intensity to achieve enhanced photocatalytic performances remains a ***,cuprous sulfide nanosheets with different Cu vacancy concentration were employed to study IEF modulation and corresponding direct charge *** the samples,Cu_(1.8)S nanosheets possessed intensified IEF intensity compared with those of Cu_(2)S and Cu_(1.95)S nanosheets,suggesting that an enhanced IEF intensity could be achieved by introducing more Cu *** intensified IEF of Cu_(1.8)S nanosheets induced numerous photogenerated electrons to migrate to its surface,and the dissociative electrons were then captured by Cu vacancies,resulting in efficient charge separation *** addition,the Cu vacancies on Cu_(1.8)S nanosheets accumulated electrons as active sites to lower the energy barrier of rate-determining step of CO_(2)photoreduction,leading to the selective conversion of CO_(2)to ***,the manipulation of IEF intensity through Cu vacancy concentration regulation of cuprous sulfide photocatalysts for efficient charge separation has been discussed,providing a scientific strategy to rationally improve photocata lytic performances for solar energy conversion.

Bogie is a pivotal system and plays a critical part in the safety and reliability management of high-speed ***,the available bogie system reliability analysis methods lack the consideration of multi-state characteristics,and the common multi-state reliability analysis methods,being an NP-hard problem,lead to low *** order to overcome these drawbacks,this paper proposes a novel multi-state rail train bogie system reliability analysis approach based on the extended d-MC *** different function interactions within the bogie system are considered to build the multi-state bogie system flow network ***,an extended d-MC model is established to remove unnecessary d-MC candidates and duplicates,which greatly enhances the computing *** bogie system reliability is calculated,and examples are *** experiments are carried out for the different operational conditions of the bogie system and are used to test the practicability of the method proposed in this article;it is found that this method outperforms a newly developed method in solving multi-state reliability problems.

Deep learning has emerged in many practical applications,such as image classification,fault diagnosis,and object *** recently,convolutional neural networks(CNNs),representative models of deep learning,have been used to solve fault ***,the current design of CNNs for fault detection of wind turbine blades is highly dependent on domain knowledge and requires a large amount of trial and *** this reason,an evolutionary YOLOv8 network has been developed to automatically find the network architecture for wind turbine blade-based fault ***8 is a CNN-backed object detection ***,to reduce the parameter count,we first design an improved FasterNet module based on the Partial Convolution(PConv)***,to enhance convergence performance,we improve the loss function based on the efficient complete intersection over the *** on this,a flexible variable-length encoding is proposed,and the corresponding reproduction operators are *** experimental results confirmthat the proposed approach can achieve better fault detection results and improve by 2.6%in mean precision at 50(mAP50)compared to the existing ***,compared to training with the YOLOv8n model,the YOLOBFE model reduces the training parameters by 933,937 and decreases the GFLOPS(Giga Floating Point Operations Per Second)by 1.1.

By pushing computation,cache,and network control to the edge,mobile edge computing(MEC)is expected to play a leading role in fifth generation(5G)and future sixth generation(6G).Nevertheless,facing ubiquitous fast-growing computational demands,it is impossible for a single MEC paradigm to effectively support high-quality intelligent services at end user equipments(UEs).To address this issue,we propose an air-ground collaborative MEC(AGCMEC)architecture in this *** proposed AGCMEC integrates all potentially available MEC servers within air and ground in the envisioned 6G,by a variety of collaborative ways to provide computation services at their best for ***,we introduce the AGC-MEC architecture and elaborate three typical use ***,we discuss four main challenges in the AGC-MEC as well as their potential ***,we conduct a case study of collaborative service placement for AGC-MEC to validate the effectiveness of the proposed collaborative service placement ***,we highlight several potential research directions of the AGC-MEC.

Understanding the quantitative responses of anisotropic dynamic properties in organic-rich shale with different kerogen content(KC)is of great significance in hydrocarbon exploration and *** controlled experiments with a single variable is challenging for natural shales due to their high variations in components,diagenesis conditions,or pore *** employed the hot-pressing technique to construct 11 well-controlled artificial shale with varying *** artificial shale samples were successive machined into prismatic shape for ultrasonic measurements along different *** revealed bedding perpendicular P-wave velocities are more sensitive to the increasing KC than bedding paralleling velocities due to the preferential alignments of *** elastic stiffnesses except C_(13)are generally decreasing with the increasing KC,the variation of C_(1) and C_(33)on kerogen content are more sensitive than those of C_(44)and C_(66).Apparent dynamic mechanical parameters(v and E)were found to have linear correlation with the true ones from complete anisotropic equations independent of KC,which hold value towards the interpretation of well logs consistently across formations,Anisotropic mechanical parameters(ΔE and brittlenessΔB)tend to decrease with the reducing KC,withΔB showing great sensitivity to KC *** the range of low KC(erve as a significant characterization for highly organic-rich(>10%)shale,compilation of data from natural organic rich-shales globally verified the similar systematic relationships that can be empirically used to predict the fraction of KC in shales.
