The photoabsorption and photodissociation of carbon monoxide(CO)in the vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)region is one of the most important photochemical processes in the interstellar medium,thus it has attracted numerous experimental and theoretical ***,we employed the two-color VUV-VUV laser pump-probe time-slice velocity-map ion imaging method to measure the relative branching ratios[C(3P0)+O(1D)]/{[C(3P0)+O(3P)]+[C(3P0)+O(1D)]}and[C(3P2)+O(1D)]/{[C(3P2)+O(3P)]+[C(3P2)+O(1D)]}in the VUV photoexcitation energy range of 108000-113200 cm^−***,one tunable VUV laser beam is used to excite CO to speci c rovibronic states,and a second independently tunable VUV laser beam is used to state-selectively ionize C(3P0)and C(3P2)for ***-selective photoionization through the 1VUV+1UV/visible resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization scheme has greatly enhanced the detection sensitivity,which makes many new weak absorption bands observable in the current *** branching ratio measurement shows that the spin-forbidden channels C(3P0)+O(1D)and C(3P2)+O(1D)only open at several discrete narrow energy *** might be caused by certain accidental resonanceenhanced spin-orbit interactions between the directly excited Rydberg states and valence states of triplet type which nally dissociate into the spin-forbidden channels.

Sequence assembling is an important step for bioinformatics *** the help of next generation sequencing(NGS)technology,high throughput DNA fragment(reads)can be randomly sampled from DNA or RNA molecular ***,as the positions of reads being sampled are unknown,assembling process is required for combining overlapped reads to reconstruct the original DNA or RNA *** with traditional Sanger sequencing methods,although the throughput of NGS reads increases,the read length is shorter and the error rate is *** introduces several problems in ***,paired-end reads instead of single-end reads can be sampled which contain more *** existing assemblers cannot fully utilize this information and fails to assemble longer *** this article,we will revisit the major problems of assembling NGS reads on genomic,transcriptomic,metagenomic and metatranscriptomic *** will also describe our IDBA package for solving these *** package has adopted several novel ideas in assembling,including using multiple k,local assembling and progressive depth *** with existence assemblers,IDBA has better performance on many simulated and real sequencing datasets.

Thermal management has become a crucial problem for high-power-density equipment and *** change materials(PCms)have great prospects in thermal management applications because of their large capacity of heat storage and isothermal behavior during phase ***,low intrinsic thermal conductivity,ease of leakage,and lack of flexibility severely limit their *** one of these problems often comes at the expense of other performance of the *** this work,we report core–sheath structured phase change nanocomposites(PCNs)with an aligned and interconnected boron nitride nanosheet network by combining coaxial electrospinning,electrostatic spraying,and *** advanced PCN films exhibit an ultrahigh thermal conductivity of 28.3 W m^(-1)K^(-1)at a low BNNS loading(i.e.,32 wt%),which thereby endows the PCNs with high enthalpy(>101 J g^(-1)),outstanding ductility(>40%)and improved fire ***,our core–sheath strategies successfully balance the trade-off between thermal conductivity,flexibility,and phase change enthalpy of ***,the PCNs provide powerful cooling solutions on 5G base station chips and thermoelectric generators,displaying promising thermal management applications on high-power-density equipment and thermoelectric conversion devices.

Like straw, biochar incorporation can influence soil microorganisms and enzyme activities and soil carbon(C) responses;however,few studies have compared the various effects of straw and biochar and the underlying mechanisms. An experiment was performed to study the changes in soil respiration(SR) and soil organic C(SOC) fluxes in response to the incorporation of three kinds of straw(reed, smooth cordgrass, and rice) and their pyrolyzed products(biochars) at Chongming Island, China. In addition, the microbial activity and community structure of some amended soils were also analyzed to clarify the mechanisms of these responses. The results showed that all biochar incorporation(BC) induced lower SR than the corresponding unpyrolyzed straw incorporation(ST), and the average SR in the soils following BC and ST during the experimental periods was 21.69 and 65.32 μmol CO2 m^-2s^-1, ***, the average SOC content was 16.97 g kg-1 following BC, which was higher than that(13.71 g kg-1) following ST,indicating that compared to ST, BC was a low-C strategy, even after accounting for the C loss during biochar production. Among the BC treatments, reed-BC induced the lowest SR(17.04 μmol CO2 m^-2s^-1), whereas smooth cordgrass-BC induced the highest SR(27.02 μmol CO2 m^-2s^-1). Furthermore, in contrast with ST, BC significantly increased the abundance of some bacteria with poorer mineralization or better humification ability, which led to lower SR. The lower easily oxidizable C(EOC) and higher total C contents of biochars induced lower SR and higher SOC in the soil following BC compared to that following ST. Among the BC treatments,the higher total nitrogen content of rice biochar led to significantly higher soil microbial biomass, and the lower EOC content of reed biochar led to lower soil microbial activity and SR.

Two new compounds cadin-2-en-1β-ol-1β-D-glucuronopyranoside （1）, guaia-l,7-dien-3β,13-diol-13α-D- glucofuranoside （2） along with three known compounds have been isolated from the culture hairy roots of Catharanthus roseus. Their structures have been elucidated with the help of 500 mHz NmR using 1D and 2D spectral methods： viz： ^1H and ^13C NmR, ^1H-^1H COSY, ^1H-^13C HETCOR and DEPT aided by ELmS, FAB-mS, HR-FABmS and IR spectroscopy.

Graphene is a two-dimensional material that can be folded into diverse and yet interesting nanostructures like macro-scale paper *** of graphene not only makes different morphological configurations but also modifies their mechanical and thermal *** by paper origami,herein we studied systemically the effects of creases,where sp^(2)to sp^(3)bond transformation occurs,on the thermal properties of graphene origami using molecular dynamics(mD)*** mD simulation results show that tensile strain reduces(not increases)the interfacial thermal resistance owing to the presence of the *** unusual phenomenon is explained by the micro-heat flux migration and stress *** findings on the graphene origami enable the design of the next-generation thermal management devices and flexible electronics with tuneable properties.

Epstein Barr virus （EBV） positive mucocutaneous ulcers（EBVmCU） form part of a spectrum of EBV-associatedlymphoproliferative disease. They have been reportedin the setting of immunosenescence and iatrogenicimmunosuppression, affecting the oropharyngeal mucosa,skin and gastrointestinal tract （GIT）. Case reports andseries to date suggest a benign natural history respondingto conservative management, particularly in the GIT. Wereport an unusual case of EBVmCU in the colon, arisingin the setting of immunosuppression in the treatment ofCrohn＇s disease, with progression to Hodgkin lymphoma18 mo after cessation of infliximab. The patient presentedwith multiple areas of segmental colonic ulceration,histologically showing a polymorphous infiltrate withEBV positive Reed-Sternberg-like cells. A diagnosisof EBVmCU was made. The ulcers failed to regressupon cessation of infliximab and methotrexate for 18mo. Following commencement of prednisolone for herCrohn＇s disease, the patient developed widespreadHodgkin lymphoma which ultimately presented as alife-threatening lower GIT bleed requiring emergencycolectomy. This is the first report of progression ofEBVmCU to Hodgkin lymphoma, in the setting of ongoingiatrogenic immunosuppression and inflammatory boweldisease.

Chemically synthesized near-infrared to mid-infrared(IR)colloidal quantum dots(QDs)offer a promising platform for the realization of devices including emitters,detectors,security,and sensor ***,at longer wavelengths,the quantum yield of such QDs decreases as the radiative emission rate drops following Fermi’s golden rule,while non-radiative recombination channels compete with light *** over the radiative and non-radiative channels of the IR-emitting QDs is crucially important to improve the performance of IR-range ***,we demonstrate strong enhancement of the spontaneous emission rate of near-to mid-IR HgTe QDs coupled to periodically arranged plasmonic nanoantennas,in the form of nanobumps,produced on the surface of glasssupported Au films via ablation-free direct femtosecond laser *** enhancement is achieved by simultaneous radiative coupling of the emission that spectrally matches the first-order lattice resonance of the arrays,as well as more efficient photoluminescence excitation provided by coupling of the pump radiation to the local surface plasmon resonances of the isolated ***,coupling of the HgTe QDs to the lattice plasmons reduces the influence of non-radiative decay losses mediated by the formation of polarons formed between QD surface-trapped carriers and the IR absorption bands of dodecanethiol used as a ligand on the QDs,allowing us to improve the shape of the emission spectrum through a reduction in the spectral dip related to this ligand *** the ease of the chemical synthesis and processing of the HgTe QDs combined with the scalability of the direct laser fabrication of nanoantennas with tailored plasmonic responses,our results provide an important step towards the design of IR-range devices for various applications.

Salinity influence on soil microbial respiration rate of wetland in the Yangtze River estuary through changing microbial community

Estuarine wetland, where freshwater mixes with salt water, comprises different regions（rivers and marine ecosystems） with significantly varying tidal salinities. Two sampling areas, ZXS and JS, were selected to investigate the effect of tidal salinity on soil respiration（SR）. ZXS and JS were located in Zhongxia Shoal and Jiangyanan Shoal of Jiuduansha Wetland respectively, with similar elevation and plant species, but significantly different in salinity. The results showed that with almost identical plant biomass, the SR and soil microbial respiration（SmR） of the tidal wetland with lower salinity（JS） were significantly higher than those of the tidal wetland with higher salinity（ZXS）（p 〈 0.05）. However, unlike SmR and SR, the difference in the soil microbial biomass（SmB） was not significant（p 〉 0.05）with the SmB of ZXS a little higher than that of JS. The higher SmR and SR of JS may be closely connected to the soil microbial community structures and amount of dominant bacteria. Abundant β- and γ-Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria in JS soil, which have strong heterotrophic metabolic capabilities, could be the main reason for higher SmR and SR,whereas a high number of ε-Proteobacteria in ZXS, some of which have carbon fixation ability, could be responsible for relatively lower carbon output. Path analysis indicated that soil salinity had the maximum negative total influencing coefficient with SmR among the various soil physical and chemical factors, suggesting that higher soil salinity, restricting highly heterotrophic bacteria, is the principle reason for lower SmR and SR in the ZXS.
