当前和家具有关的增强现实应用程序提供了将虚拟家具添加到虚拟环境中的能力,但它们无法虚拟移动现有的实体家具。实际很多用户在添置或更换家具时,需要考虑已有的家具和新家具的重新摆放,且很多实体家具难以移动,因此虚拟移动实体家具的功能非常有用。本文提出了一种检测实体家具并使用改进的显着对象检测(Salient Object Setection,SOD)虚拟移动它们的方法,以区分不同的家具并创建它们的虚拟副本。虚拟副本可以在增强现实应用程序中移动。我们的贡献是结合不同大小的感受域,并采用残余块(Residual U-block)从不同尺度收集上下文信息,然后产生配置得当的残余块(Residual U-block)。它使我们能够在不显着增加计算成本的情况下增加每个结构的深度。这种方法使用了无需使用预定义的函数的深度网络训练。来自DUTS的家具数据集和用于物体检测的卷积块CBOD-Net架构用于提高家具物品检测的准确性。测试表明,CBOD-Net架构使我们的结果更加准确。我们使用Unity平台制作了IOS(ARKit)和Android(ARCore)应用程序。在我们的案例中,我们制作了一个增强现实在线家具购物应用程序,并添加了重新排列用户家具的功能。我们应用CBOD-Net来实现家具的显着目标检测和家具周围背景的替换。实验证明我们的改进方法有助于改善用户购买家具时的体验。

A Cooperative Cognitive Radio Spectrum Sensing Based on Correlation Sum Method with Linear Equalization

For moving forward toward the next generations of information technology and wireless communication, it is becoming necessary to find new resources of spectrum to fulfill the requirements of next generations from higher data rates and more capacity. Increasing efficiency of the spectrum usage is an urgent need as an intrinsic result of the rapidly increasing number of wireless users and the conversion of voice-oriented applications to multimedia applications. Spectrum sensing techniques in cognitive radio technology work upon an optimal usage of the available spectrum determined by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). In this paper, the performance of a cooperative cognitive radio spectrum sensing detection based on the correlation sum method by utilizing the multiuser multiple input multiple output (MU_MIMO) technique over fading and Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel is analyzed. Equalization is used at the receiver to compensate the effect of fading channels and improve the reliability of spectrum sensing. The performance is compared with the performance of Energy detection technique. The simulation results show that the detection performance of cooperative correlation sum method is more efficient than that obtained for the cooperative Energy detection technique.

Analytical Solution for the Time-Dependent Emden-Fowler Type of Equations by Homotopy Analysis Method with Genetic Algorithm

In this paper, Homotopy Analysis method with Genetic Algorithm is presented and used to obtain an analytical solution for the time-dependent Emden-Fowler type of equations and wave-type equation with singular behavior at x = 0. The advantage of this single global method employed to present a reliable framework is utilized to overcome the singularity behavior at the point x = 0 for both models. The method is demonstrated for a variety of problems in one and higher dimensional spaces where approximate-exact solutions are obtained. The results obtained in all cases show the reliability and the efficiency of this method.

Effect of Delayed versus Early Cord Clamping on Neonatal Outcomes and Iron Status at 4 Months

Background: The optimal timing of umbilical cord clamping has been debated in the scientific literature for over a century. Early clamping of the umbilical cord is widely practised as part of the management of labour. Early clamping of the cord was one of the first routine medical interventions in labour. Its place in modern births was guaranteed by its incorporation into the triad of interventions that make up the active management of the third stage of labour. Babies who have immediate cord clamping have also been shown to be more likely to be anaemic, have decreased fine motor skills, and have decreased social skills during their first few years of age. Delayed umbilical cord clamping appears to have clear benefit for term infants. Delayed umbilical cord clamping increases hemoglobin levels at birth and improves iron stores in the first few months of life, which improve the developmental outcomes. There is growing evidence that delayed cord clamping is beneficial and can improve the infant’s iron status for up to 6 months after birth. For the first few minutes after birth, there is still circulation from the placenta to the infant. Waiting to clamp the umbilical cord for 2 - 3 min, or until cord pulsations cease, allows a physiological transfer of placental blood to the infant (placental transfusion), the majority of which occurs within 3 min. This placental transfusion provides sufficient iron reserves for the first 6 - 8 months of life, preventing or delaying the development of iron deficiency until other interventions. WHO’s findings suggest that late cord clamping (one to three minutes after delivery or longer) is recommended for all births. Aim of the study: 1) To evaluate the benefit of delayed cord clamping on the infant’s health status. 2) To assess hemoglobin, iron and ferritin at birth and at 4 months of age in infants who underwent early cord clamping (at 30 seconds) as compared with infants who underwent delayed cord clamping (at 60 seconds). Screening of antibacterial activity in marine green, red and brown macroalgae from the western coast of Libya

Marine macroalgae are considered as an excellent source of bioactive compounds which has a broad range of biological activities including antibacterial and antioxidant. Crude methanolic and water extracts of 19 marine algal species (6 Chlorophyta, 8 Phaeophyta and 5 Rhodophyta) collected from the western coast of Libya were evaluated for antibacterial activity against pathogenic bacteria (4 Gram-positive, 4 Gram-nega- tive). The extracts showed a significant antibacterial activity against Gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus spp., and Staphylococcus epidermidis) as well as Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella spp., and Pseudomonas aerugi- nosa). The algal aqueous and methanolic extracts displayed different degrees of antimicrobial activities against different bacteria, in some cases methanolic extracts showed higher antibacterial activity than aqueous extracts. Among tested algae, Brown algae namely Cystoseira crinite exhibited the highest antibacterial activity among tested algal species.

Evaluation of BCG Vaccine Immunogenicity in Relation to Vitamin D Status in a Group of Egyptian Children

Background: Vitamin D has an immuomodulatory role in vaccine response and this may be mediated via its action on antigen presenting cells with the most potent effects on dendritic cells. Aim of work: was to determine if there is an association between circulating 25(OH)D concentrations and BCG vaccine cytokine response (interferon gamma) level. Methods: A cross sectional study included 80 infants aged 4 - 9 months from the pediatric outpatient clinic of Al-Zahraa university hospital (40 with normal weight and 40 with underweight). Participants were subjected to history taking, clinical examination, and laboratory investigations, particularly 25 hydroxy vitamin D [25(OH)D] and BCG vaccine-induced interferon gamma (IFN-γ). Results: The study showed that the underweight group had a lower socioeconomic level and higher percentage of breastfeeding compared with the normal weight group. Most infants in our study received vitamin D supplementation (80% and 62.5% in normal and underweight groups, respectively). The average serum level of 25(OH)D was relatively high (>100 ng/ml) in both normal and underweight groups. The mean levels of IFN-γ in response to BCG vaccine were not significantly different between the normal and underweight groups of infants in our study. Al

Treatment of Active Acne Vulgaris by Chemical Peeling Using TCA 35%

Background: The pathogenesis of acne vulgaris is multifactorial, and therapy can be directed at many of these factors, singly or in combination. There are different modalities of treatment of active acne vulgaris but they are often long lasting which could not be accepted by many patients. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness, long term efficacy and safety of chemical peeling using 35% TCA solution in the treatment of active acne vulgaris. Patients and Methods:This clinical, interventional, therapeutic study was done at the Department of Dermatology—Baghdad Teaching Hospital during the period from January 2012 to March 2013. Eighteen patients with active acne vulgaris were included in this study, 10 (55.6%) females and 8 (44.4%) males. Their ages ranged from 15 to 35 (21.56 ± 5.501) years. Twelve patients were associated with acne scars. History and dermatological examination were performed for all patients regarding all demographic points related to the disease. Chemical peeling with 35% TCA used one session regarding active acne vulgaris and three sessions in patients with associated scarring. Scoring for active acne vulgaris and acne scar was done for each case before and after peeling to evaluate the severity of acne lesions and scarring. All patients were with Fitzpatrick’s skin types III and IV. Patients were followed up every two weeks for 12 weeks after starting therapy and every 4 weeks for 12 weeks after stopping the treatment to watch improvement, side effects and relapse. Results: Scoring for active acne vulgaris including papules and pustules showed highly statistically significant reduction after 2 weeks of therapy (p Conclusions: Chemical peeling by TCA 35% is a cost-effective mode of therapy for active acne vulgaris and acne scar with low down time in patients with dark complexion.

Comparative Study of the Antioxidant Activity of Two Popular Green Tea Beverages Available in the Local Market of Saudi Arabia

Antioxidants have numerous applications due to their multiple roles in diminishing harmful effects of oxidative stress. The objective of this work was to highlight the importance of green tea by evaluating the antioxidant activity of the most popular green tea brands in Saudi Arabia, Lipton and Rabea. To our knowledge, no studies have so far been done to estimate the antioxidant activity of these brands. To determine the antioxidant activities of these two brands, 10 mg/ml of each brand was extracted and their total phenolic content (TPC), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, ferric reducing power and ferrous ion chelating effect were measured. The TPC of Lipton tea was 678.7 υg of gallic acid equivalents (GAE)/10mg, whereas in Rabea tea, the TPC was 647.1 υg GAE/10mg. The presence study indicated that there were no significant differences in total phenolic contents and the percentage inhibition as shown in DPPH and H2O2 assays among Lipton and Rabea green teas. Moreover, it was found that all assays have exhibited high antioxidant activity in both green teas. In conclusion, our study showed evidence for evenness and stability of the antioxidant activity of the two commercial green teas available in the markets of Saudi Arabia. Continued researches are needed to further the current knowledge on the health-promoting effects of this popular beverage using different supplements by different mechanisms.
