Mechanical Behavior and Failure Mechanism of an As-Extruded Mg-11wt%Y Alloy at Elevated Temperature

Through carrying out the high-temperature tensile experiments on an as-extruded Mg-11wt%Y alloy at 350℃,400℃,450℃,500℃and 550℃,the mechanical behavior and fracture mechanisms at elevated temperatures are investigated and *** results show that with the increase of temperature,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloy increase at first and then decrease,while that the elongation ratio decreases firstly and then *** the sample being tested at 350℃,the values of yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and the elongation ratio are 188 MPa,266 MPa and 11%,*** 400℃,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength reach the maximum values of,respectively,198 MPa and 277 MPa,but the elongation ratio is the lowest and its value is only 8%.When the applied temperature is increased to 550℃,the values of yield strength and ultimate tensile strength,respectively,decrease to 140 MPa and 192 MPa and the elongation ratio increases to 38%.Failure analysis demonstrates that the fracture surfaces of different samples are mainly composed of plastic dimples and exhibit the typical characteristic of ductile *** observation to the fracture side surfaces indicates that at the temperatures of 350℃and 400℃,microcracks mainly initiate in the interior of Mg_(24)Y_(5)*** the temperatures are 450℃,500℃and 550℃,the cracks preferentially initiate at the Mg_(24)Y_(5)/α-Mg interfaces.

A new extended structural compound based on saturated Wells-Dawson polyoxoanions

A new 3D extended structural compound, （dpdo）2H2{[Cu（2,2＇-bipy）212（P2W18O62）}.SH2O 1 （dpdo = 4,4＇-bipyridine-N,N＇- dioxide; 2,2＇-bipy = 2,2＇-bipyridine）, has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG analyses, cyclic voltammetry, and single-crystal X-my diffraction. Compound 1 is built up of [P2WlsO62]6- cluster as the structural motif covalently linked by [Cu（2,2＇-bipy）2]^2＋ coordination complexes to yield the 1D chains, which axe further in close contact forming a 3D supramolecular framework via aromatic π-π stacking interactions and extensive hydrogen-bonding interactions among polyoxoanions, coordinated 2,2＇-bipy organic ligands, free dpdo organic molecules and lattice water molecules.

Deblurring,artifact-free optical coherence tomography with deconvolution-random phase modulation

Deconvolution is a commonly employed technique for enhancing image quality in optical imaging ***-nately,its application in optical coherence tomography(OCT)is often hindered by sensitivity to noise,which leads to ad-ditive ringing *** artifacts considerably degrade the quality of deconvolved images,thereby limiting its effect-iveness in OCT *** this study,we propose a framework that integrates numerical random phase masks into the deconvolution process,effectively eliminating these artifacts and enhancing image *** optimized joint operation of an iterative Richardson-Lucy deconvolution and numerical synthesis of random phase masks(RPM),termed as De-conv-RPM,enables a 2.5-fold reduction in full width at half-maximum(FWHM).We demonstrate that the Deconv-RPM method significantly enhances image clarity,allowing for the discernment of previously unresolved cellular-level details in nonkeratinized epithelial cells ex vivo and moving blood cells in vivo.

Ultrathin Multilayer Films Incorporating Keggin-type Heteropolyanion Clusters

Two new ultrathin multiplayer films have been successfully prepared fi-om Keggin-type heteropoly acids H-4[SiW12O40] and H-3[PMo12O40] with polyelectrolytes PEI, PSS, and PAH, using the electrostatic layer-by-layer self-assembly, technique. The XR results reveal their film thickness at nanoscale (similar to 20 nm). According to the AFM images, it is believed that the surface roughness (rough degree of film surface) of the polyelectrolyte-polyoxometalate film greatly depends on the kind of polyoxometalates.

POLAR-2 is a gamma-ray burst(GRB)polarimeter that is designed to study the polarization in GRB radiation emissions,aiming to improve our knowledge of related ***-2 is expected to utilize an on-board polarimeter that is sensitive to soft X-rays(2-10 keV),called low-energy polarization *** have developed a new soft X-ray polari-zation detector prototype based on gas microchannel plates(GMCPs)and pixel chips(Topmetal).The GMCPs have bulk resistance,which prevents charging-up effects and ensures gain stability during *** detector is composed of low outgassing materials and is gas-sealed using a laser welding technique,ensuring long-term stability.A modulation factor of 41.28%±0.64% is obtained for a 4.5 keV polarized X-ray beam.A residual modulation of 1.96%±0.58% at 5.9 keV is observed for the entire sensitive area.

A {Ni_7} cluster-containing sandwich-type phosphotungstate functionalized by organic bisphosphonate ligands and its two-dimensional supramolecular structure

A {NIT] cluster-substituted sandwich-type phosphotungstate Na10（NH4）4[{（B-a-PW9034）Ni3 （OH）（H20）2（HAle））2Ni].22H20 （1） was synthesized using the conventional aqueous solution method. Compound 1 represents the first nickel-containing sandwich-type polyoxometalate functionalized by bisphosphonate ligands. Further, the sandwich-type polyoxoanions aggregated via the H-bonding interactions into a two-dimensional （2D） suoramolecular framewnrk.

A new heteropolytungstate, [H2bpy]3[SiMnW11O39]· 1.25H2O （1）, has been prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It is the first characterized compound containing ID zigzag chain of transition metal substituted Keggin heteropolytungstate, which is connected through a common oxygen atom. The elemental analysis and IR of it are also described.

Kinetics of Photocatalytic Degradation of Formic Acid over Silica Composite Films Based on Polyoxometalates

The composite films, XW11O39n-/SiO2, (X refers to Si, Ge or P, respectively) were prepared by tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) hydrolysis sol-gel method via spin-coating technique. Formation of the composite films is due to strong chemical reaction of organic silanol group with the surface oxygen atoms of XW11O39n-, resulted in the saturation of the surface of the lacunary polyoxometalates (POMs). Therefore, the coordination structural model of the films was proposed. As for the films, retention of the primary Keggin structure was confirmed by UV-vis, FT-IR spectra and MAS NMR. The surface morphology of the films was characterized by SEM, indicating that the film surface is relatively uniform, and the layer thickness is in the range of 250~350 nm. Aqueous formic acid (FA) (0-20 mmol/L) was degraded into CO2 and H2O by irradiating the films in the near-UV area. The results show that all the films have photocatalytic activities and the degradation reaction follows Langmuir-Hinshelwood first order kinetics.

Vanadium disulfide(VS_(2)) as a typical two-dimensional transition metal chalcogenide has excellent competitiveness for sodium-ion storage due to its wide layer spacing(0.575 nm),high theoretical capacity of 932mAh·g^(-1) originating from multi-electron electrochemical ***,continuous sodiation process accompanied by crystal structural evolution and collapse cause rapid capacity ***,novel few-layer VS_(2)nanosheets with open(001) crystal planes are in-situ constructed on reduced graphene oxide to solve these issues mentioned *** indicates that few-layer VS_(2)provides more Na^(+) storage activity due to the low Na^(+)surface migration energy barrier on exposed crystal(001)*** flexible and high electronic conductivity of carbon matrix also effectively builds multi-level buffer structure and electron transport kinetics to boost the Na^(+)insertion/conversion reactive activity on VS_(2) as well as Na^(+) pseudocapacitance storage kinetics on edges and defects of nano *** coupling effects result in high rate capability and long cycling stability as a battery/capacitor *** delivers conspicuous high energy density of 81 and 40 Wh·kg^(-1) at power density of 118 and 10,286W·kg^(-1),as well as 80% energy retention rate after 5000cycles,confirming its great application potential in sodiumbased storage devices.
