BACKGROUND： Hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） is a com- plex and heterogeneous malignancy, frequently occurs in the setting of a chronically diseased organ, with multiple con- founding factors making its management challenging. HCC represents one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortal- ity globally with a rising trend of incidence in some of the de- veloped countries, which indicates the need for better surgical and nonsurgical management strategies.

The clinical outcome of hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection depends on the success or failure of the immune responses to HBV,and varies widely among individuals,ranging from asymptomatic self-limited infection,inactive carrier state,chronic hepatitis,cirrhosis,hepatocellular carcinoma,to liver failure,depending on the success or failure of immune response to ***-wide association studies(GWAS) identified key genetic factors influencing the pathogenesis of HBV-related *** this review,we discuss GWAS for persistence of HBV infection,antibody response to hepatitis B vaccine,and HBV-related advanced liver *** persistence is associated with multiple genes with diverse roles in immune *** strongest associations are found within the classical human leukocyte antigen(HLA) genes,highlighting the central role of antigen presentation in the immune response to *** variants affect both epitope binding specificities and expression levels of HLA *** other susceptibility genes regulate the magnitude of adaptive immune responses,determining immunity vs *** persistence and nonresponse to vaccine share the same risk variants,implying overlapping genetic *** the other hand,the risk variants for HBV-related advanced liver diseases are largely different,suggesting different host-virus dynamics in acute vs chronic HBV *** findings of these GWAS are likely to pave the way for developing more effective preventive and therapeutic interventions by personalizing the management of HBV infection.

In this paper, we introduce a new extension of the power Lindley distribution, called the exponentiated generalized power Lindley distribution. Several mathematical properties of the new model such as the shapes of the density and hazard rate functions, the quantile function, moments, mean deviations, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves and order statistics are derived. Moreover, we discuss the parameter estimation of the new distribution using the maximum likelihood and diagonally weighted least squares methods. A simulation study is performed to evaluate the estimators. We use two real data sets to illustrate the applicability of the new model. Empirical findings show that the proposed model provides better fits than some other well-known extensions of Lindley distributions.

In this work, vertically aligned carbon nanotubes（VACNTs） grown on aluminum foils were used as flexible supercapacitor electrodes. Aluminum foils were used as readily available, cheap and conductive substrates, and VACNTs were grown directly on these foils through chemical vapor deposition（CVD）method. Solution based ultrasonic spray pyrolysis（USP） method was used for the deposition of the CNT catalyst. Direct growth of VACNTs on aluminum foils ruled out both the internal resistance of the supercapacitor electrodes and the charge transfer resistance between the electrode and electrolyte. A specific capacitance of 2.61 m F/cm;at a scan rate of 800 m V/s was obtained from the fabricated electrodes, which is further improved through the bending cycles.

Six different arylhydrazone derivatives of p-aminobenzoic hydrazide of vic-dioximes were synthesized by reaction of chloroglyoxime and dichloroglyoxime with N＇-p-aminobenzoyl benzaldehyde, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and 4-methoxybenzaldehyde hydrazones, respectively. Metal-ligand （1 ： 2） complexes of vic-dioxime derivatives with Cu（Ⅱ）, Ni（Ⅱ） and Co（Ⅱ） were prepared from corresponding metal acetates. The ligands and their complexes were characterized on the basis of elemental analyses and spectral data. The complexing abilities of these new vic-dioximes toward transition metals of Co（Ⅱ）, Cu（Ⅱ）, Ni（Ⅱ）, Zn（Ⅱ）, Cd（Ⅱ）, Mn（Ⅱ） and Cr（Ⅲ） were determined by solid-liquid extraction studies.

Objectives:This article reviews the advantages and disadvantages of endoscopic ear surgery(EES).Method:Pubmed,Google and the Proquest Central Database at Kirikkale University were queried using the keywords"endoscopic ear surgery","ear surgery"and"endoscopy"to identify the literature needed for the ***:Endoscopes allow for enhanced surgical *** distal part of the apparatus is illuminated and contains lenses angled to allow a wider view of the operative *** endoscopic techniques have transformed the external ear canal(EAC)into an operative *** benefits EES can offer include wider views,enhanced imaging capabilities and increased magnification,and ways to see otherwise poorly visualisable portions of the middle *** permits surgeons to operate using minimally invasive otological *** compared with microscope-assisted surgery,endoscopic tympanoplasty has been shown to require a shorter operating time in some *** are a number of drawbacks to EES,however,which include the fact that it is a single-handed technique,that the light source may produce thermal injury and that visualisation using the endoscope is severely curtailed if bleeding is ***:EES is a safe and effective *** current literature supports the idea that the results achieved by endoscopic methods are usually comparably beneficial to results obtained using conventional microscopic methods.
