Future of the current anticoronaviral agents: A viewpoint on thevalidation for the next COVIDs and pandemics

Despite the global decline in the severity of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, the disease stillrepresents a major concern to the relevant scientific and medical communities. The primary concern of drug scientists,virologists, and other concerned specialists in this respect is to find ready-to-use suitable and potent anticoronaviraltherapies that are broadly effective against the different species/strains of the coronaviruses in general, not only againstthe current and previous coronaviruses (e.g., the recently-appeared severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2“SARS-CoV-2”), i.e., effective antiviral agents for treatment and/or prophylaxis of any coronaviral infections, includingthose of the coming ones from the next species and strains (if any). As an expert in this field, I tried, in this up-to-dateperspective “viewpoint” article, to evaluate the suitability and applicability of using the currently-availableanticoronaviral agents for the next coronavirus diseases (COVIDs) and coronaviral pandemics, highlighting the mostimportant general guidelines that should be considered in the next pandemics from the therapeutic points of view.

Populus alba is a large woody deciduous *** plant has been introduced to shooting,then multiplication of rooting on Murashige and Skoog(MS)*** work was designed to estimate the effect of two factors(low levels of 1-Naphthaleneacetic acid NAA and sucrose)on *** response resulting in 6 treatments compared to the control,with twelve measured *** was a significant difference in some measurements in morphology,like plantlets fresh-weight,shoot-,root-length,and leaf *** the physiological measurements,there were significant differences in all the measured *** low concentrations of sucrose and media composition/power(MS grams/L)led to starvation in plants;however,these conditions led to enhancement in some morphological and physiological parameters to overcome the starvation effect,compared to the *** RAPD-PCR molecular marker(four decamers)was used to evaluate the new individuals’genetic variation(instability),resulting in a total polymorphism percentage of 50.83%.It was formerly known that the plantlets were identical to each other and to the mother *** this study,however,the use of distinct media power,hormonal and sucrose levels resulted in molecular variation reflected in ***’s morphological and physiological responses.

Image segmentation is crucial for various research areas. Manycomputer vision applications depend on segmenting images to understandthe scene, such as autonomous driving, surveillance systems, robotics, andmedical imaging. With the recent advances in deep learning (DL) and itsconfounding results in image segmentation, more attention has been drawnto its use in medical image segmentation. This article introduces a surveyof the state-of-the-art deep convolution neural network (CNN) models andmechanisms utilized in image segmentation. First, segmentation models arecategorized based on their model architecture and primary working ***, CNN categories are described, and various models are discussed withineach category. Compared with other existing surveys, several applicationswith multiple architectural adaptations are discussed within each category.A comparative summary is included to give the reader insights into utilizedarchitectures in different applications and datasets. This study focuses onmedical image segmentation applications, where the most widely used architecturesare illustrated, and other promising models are suggested that haveproven their success in different domains. Finally, the present work discussescurrent limitations and solutions along with future trends in the field.

Internet of things(IoT)field has emerged due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and communication *** use of IoT technology in modern healthcare environments is convenient for doctors and patients as it can be used in real-time monitoring of patients,proper administration of patient information,and healthcare ***,the usage of IoT in the healthcare domain will become a nightmare if patient information is not securely maintainedwhile transferring over an insecure network or storing at the administrator *** this manuscript,the authors have developed a secure IoT healthcare monitoring system using the Blockchainbased XOR Elliptic Curve Cryptography(BC-XORECC)technique to avoid various vulnerable ***,thework has established an authentication process for patient details by generating tokens,keys,and tags using Length Ceaser Cipher-based PearsonHashingAlgorithm(LCC-PHA),EllipticCurve Cryptography(ECC),and Fishers Yates Shuffled Based Adelson-Velskii and Landis(FYS-AVL)*** authentications prevent unauthorized users from accessing or misuse the *** that,a secure data transfer is performed using BC-XORECC,which acts faster by maintaining high data privacy and blocking the path for the ***,the Linear Spline Kernel-Based Recurrent Neural Network(LSK-RNN)classification monitors the patient’s health *** whole developed framework brings out a secure data transfer without data loss or data breaches and remains efficient for health care monitoring via *** analysis shows that the proposed framework achieves a faster encryption and decryption time,classifies the patient’s health status with an accuracy of 89%,and remains robust comparedwith the existing state-of-the-art method.

Using random-parameter and fixed-parameter ordered models to explore temporal stability in factors affecting drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions

Understanding the temporal stability in the factors influencing drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions would help evaluating the effectiveness of implementing different safety treatments so that researchers could understand whether any safety improvements,observed after applying a certain safety treatment, are attributed to the specific treatment or simply attributed to the temporal instability of the factors being addressed. This study investigates the temporal stability of the factors affecting drivers' injury severity in singlevehicle collisions involving light-duty vehicles. The study is based on utilizing ordinal regression modeling to analyze the severity of drivers' injuries in all police-reported lightduty single-vehicle collisions that occurred in North Carolina from January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2013. A separate regression model was estimated for each year so that statistical significance of each risk factor may be compared over the years. The study also estimated random-parameter(mixed) ordered logit models to explore the heterogeneity in data. The most significant factor that was found to increase the severity of drivers' injuries in light-duty single-vehicle collisions is driving under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs. Other significant factors, in decreasing order in terms of their significance, include driving on a highway curve, exceeding speed limit, lighting conditions, the age of the driver, and the age of the vehicle. In contrast, there were six factors that were found to be significant in only some years and not in all years. These six temporally unstable factors include the use of seatbelt, driver's gender, rural highways, undivided highways, the type of the light-duty vehicle, and weather and road surface conditions. These same factors were found by other previous research studies to be significant and stable predictors of drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions.
