A lightweight flexible thermally stable composite is fabricated by com-bining silica nanofiber membranes(SNM)with MXene@c-MWCNT hybrid *** flexible SNM with outstanding thermal insulation are prepared from tetraethyl orthosilicate hydrolysis and condensation by electrospinning and high-temperature calcination;the MXene@c-MWCNT_(x:y)films are prepared by vacuum filtration *** particular,the SNM and MXene@c-MWCNT_(6:4)as one unit layer(SMC_(1))are bonded together with 5 wt%polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)solution,which exhibits low thermal conductivity(0.066 W m^(-1)K^(-1))and good electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding performance(average EMI SE_(T),37.8 dB).With the increase in func-tional unit layer,the overall thermal insulation performance of the whole composite film(SMC_(x))remains stable,and EMI shielding performance is greatly improved,especially for SMC_(3)with three unit layers,the average EMI SET is as high as 55.4 *** addition,the organic combination of rigid SNM and tough MXene@c-MWCNT_(6:4)makes SMC_(x)exhibit good mechanical tensile ***,SMC_(x)exhibit stable EMI shielding and excellent thermal insulation even in extreme heat and cold ***,this work provides a novel design idea and important reference value for EMI shielding and thermal insulation components used in extreme environmental protection equipment in the future.

Inhibition of Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma by Lactuca serriola in Swiss Albino Mice

To evaluate the antitumor activity of Lactuca serriola against EAC （Ehrlich ascites carcinoma） in Swiss albino mice. The in vivo antitumor activity of the methanol extract of plant Lactuca serriola was evaluated at （100 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg of hole plant and 200 mg/kg, 400 mg/kg of fruit bw） against EAC using mean survival time. After administration of the extracts of Lactuca serriola, viable EAC cell count and body weight in the EAC tumor hosts were observed. The animal was also observed for improvement in the hematological parameters （e.g., hemoglobin content, red and white blood cells count and differential cell count） after treatment of plant extract. Intraperitoneal administration of plant extracts reduced viable EAC cells, increased the survival time and restored altered hematological parameters. Significant efficacy was observed for fruit extract at high concentration 400 mg/kg dose （P 〈 0.05）. It can be concluded that the methyl extract ofLactuca serriola possesses significant antitumor activity.

Anti-inflammatory and Chemical Composition of Two Plants Family Asteraceae Growing in Saudi Arabia

The study was designed to investigate the anti-inflammatory and composition of essential oil of two plant family Asteraceae, Achillea fragrantissima and Lactuca serriola growing under dry desert condition. The anti-inflammatory effect of volatile oil extracted by hydrodistillation of plants was studied using carrageenan induced paw edema. Essential oil （100 mg/kg） and （200 mg/kg） were tested the two plant show high inhibition after 4 h, concentration （200 mg/kg） show high inhibition than （100 mg/kg） after 4 h. Sesqui sabinene hydrate, Azuline and u-Bisabolol are the main constituents of the volatile oil were investigated by capillary GC （gas chromatography） and GC-MS （gas chromatography-mass spectrometry）. The discussion shows the role of chemical compound azulene in inflammatory inhibition.

Currently Married Women with an Unmet Need for Contraception in Minia Governorate, Egypt: Profile and Determinants

Background: Understanding the magnitude of unmet contraceptive need and the underlying determinants will help the programs and services to respond effectively. Aim: Identify the prevalence and determinants of unmet contraceptive need among married women in the childbearing period in Minia Governorate. Methods: Community-based cross-sectional study was done among married women of child bearing age (18 - 49 years). Total 534 study participants were selected randomly and interviewed by using pretested structured questionnaire. Results: Overall level of unmet need was 12.7%. Women age > 35 years old were about three times (adjusted OR = 2.88, 95% CI: 1.13 - 7.35) more likely to have unmet need for family planning compared to younger women. Women who had more children (adjusted OR = 1.32, 95% CI: 1.04 - 1.67), more female offspring (adjusted OR = 1.37, 95% CI: 1.09 - 1.65), and women whose partner had non-supportive attitude towards family planning (adjusted OR = 2.96, 95% CI: 1.53 - 5.72) were more likely to have unmet need. Conclusion: The prevalence of unmet need of family planning among women in Minia Governorate remains high. Therefore, family planning programs that cover the older woman’s need for limiting and that focus on couples could be useful in reducing the rate of unmet need.

Analysis of Hyaluronidase Expression by qPCR in Egyptian Clinical Isolates of <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i>and Its Correlation with Phenotypic Plate Assay

Hyaluronidase enzyme (HysA) is an extracellular enzyme that is considered to be an important virulence factor for Staphylococcus aureus. We screened the production of HysA enzyme in the spent media of Egyptian clinical isolates (32 isolates) via phenotypic plate assay. We found that 75% of the isolates (24 isolates) were able to produce HysA enzyme. We designed primers for qPCR analysis of hysA mRNA expression that was derived from the alignment of hysA gene sequences of 41 strains of S. aureus. The designed primers could be used for the amplification of hysA in 79.2% of the isolates (19 isolates) that were positive for HysA production as demonstrated by phenotypic plate assay. A significant positive correlation, as indicated by Pearson correlation analysis (r = 0.84 at P < 0.001), was found between phenotypic plate assay and qPCR of mRNA expression of hysA in the investigated isolates of S. aureus. In conclusion, we analyzed for the first time hysA mRNA expression via qPCR in S. aureus. Additionally, our work showed a good agreement between the phenotypic assay of HysA production via plate assay and hysA expression in S. aureus. The qPCR analysis of this study could be used as a more reliable quantitative method for hysA expression analysis particularly in infected animal models of S. aureus.

Endometrial Preparation for Frozen Embryo Transfer by Supplemented Natural Cycle versus Hormone Replacement Cycle in Regularly Cycling Women

BACKGROUND: The first successful pregnancy from a frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FTET) was reported in 1983 and after more than three decades, significant changes have been introduced into clinical practice. OBJECTIVE: To compare endometrial preparation for frozen thawed embryo transfer (FTET) in supplemented natural cycle (NC) by hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) versus HRT (hormonal replacement therapy) by estrogen and progesterone in regularly cycling women. METHODS: A prospective trial was conducted on 40 patients that were divided into two treatment groups. The first group underwent endometrial preparation by supplemented natural cycle by HCG, and the second group underwent endometrial preparation by HRT (estrogen and progesterone). RESULTS: No significant difference was revealed between the two groups regarding ongoing clinical pregnancy rate. CONCLUSION: This study concluded that there is no significant difference in clinical pregnancy rate between the two methods of endometrial preparation for frozen thawed embryo transfer;supplemented natural cycle by hCG or HRT by estrogen and progesterone, in regularly cycling women.

Statistical Inference of Truncated Weibull-Rayleigh Distribution: Its Properties and Applications

In this paper, we derived a new distribution named as truncated Weibull Rayleigh (TW-R) distribution. Its characterization and statistical properties are obtained, such as reliability function, hazard function, reversed hazard rate function, cumulative hazard rate function, quantile function, rth moment, incomplete moments, Rényi and q entropies and order statistic. Parameter estimation is implemented using method of maximum-likelihood estimation and Fisher information matrix is derived. Finally, application of the presented new distribution to a real data representing the failure times of 63 airbcraft Windshield is given and its goodness-of-fit is demonstrated. In addition to, comparisons to other models are implemented to show the flexibility of the presented model.

Reproductive Biology of the Striped Seabream Lithognathus mormyrus （Linnaeus, 1758） from AI-Haneah Fishing Site, Mediterranean Sea, Eastern Libya

Reproductive biology of L. mormyrus was studied using monthly samples totaling 224 fish obtained from AI-Haneah fishing site, eastern Libya Mediterranean Sea. Lengths of the examined fish ranged between 11.5 cm and 23.4 cm. Corresponding weights were 24.5 g and 160.8 g. The minimum values of the condition factors, KF and Kc, were 1.38 and 1.21 at the average fish length of 12.4 cm. These values increased with increases in length until they reached maximum values of 1.59 and 1.41 at the length of 22.1 cm. The high values of KF and Kc, Gonado-Somatic Index and oocyte diameter maintained during May, June, July, and August and the monthly changes in gonadal condition, indicated that summer was the breeding season of L. mormyrus. The oocyte diameter ranged between 379± 25.3 μ and 1,511 ± 143.3μ （n = 76） with an average of 895 ± 111.3 μ. The sex ratio was in favor of females during all months of the study. The overall sex ratio was 1 ： 1.52. Length at first maturity, Ls0, for L. mormyrus was found to be 14.15 cm for males and 14.45 for females. Overall average of absolute fecundity was 4,342±557 egg per fish （n = 45）. The overall average of relative fecundity was 234± 181 egg per cm. Absolute fecundity increased with increasing fish length.

BACKGROUND Pancreatic cystic lesions(PCLs) are common in clinical practice. The accurate classification and diagnosis of these lesions are crucial to avoid unnecessary treatment of benign lesions and missed opportunities for early treatment of potentially malignant *** To evaluate the role of cyst fluid analysis of different tumor markers such as cancer antigens [e.g., cancer antigen(CA)19-9, CA72-4], carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), serine protease inhibitor Kazal-type 1(SPINK1), interleukin 1 beta(IL1-β), vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGF-A), and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)], amylase, and mucin stain in diagnosing pancreatic cysts and differentiating malignant from benign *** This study included 76 patients diagnosed with PCLs using different imaging modalities. All patients underwent endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) and EUS-fine needle aspiration(EUS-FNA) for characterization and sampling of different *** The mean age of studied patients was 47.4 ± 11.4 years, with a slight female predominance(59.2%). Mucin stain showed high statistical significance in predicting malignancy with a sensitivity of 87.1% and specificity of 95.56%. It also showed a positive predictive value and negative predictive value of 93.1% and 91.49%, respectively(P < 0.001). We found that positive mucin stain, cyst fluid glucose, SPINK1, amylase, and CEA levels had high statistical significance(P < 0.0001). In contrast, IL-1β, CA 72-4, VEGF-A, VEGFR2, and PGE2 did not show any statistical significance. Univariate regression analysis for prediction of malignancy in PCLs showed a statistically significant positive correlation with mural nodules, lymph nodes, cyst diameter, mucin stain, and cyst fluid CEA.
