A fundamental requirement for any cellular system is the possibility for the device to request a connection setup, commonly referred to as random access procedure. In LTE （long term evolution） networks, the distribution of a limited number of radio resources among H2H （Human-to-Human） users and increasing number of mTC （machine-Type-Communication） devices in m2m （machine-to-machine） communications is one of the main problems. An analytical model is conducted to compute the throughput for message 1 and message 2. This is done using a markov chain model for the four messages signaling flow with buffering for message 4. This model is used in LTE 3GPP （Third-Generation Partnership Project） random access. The network performance will be enhanced by determining a dedicated arrival rate corresponding to maximum throughput of message 2 that will assist the network planner to optimize the network performance. In this paper, a deduced arrival rate less than 3.333 requests/ms will maximize network throughput.

Objective： The aim of the work was to compare the dosimetric results that were obtained by using two treatment planning systems （TPS） Siemens KonRad version 2.2.23, Elekta XiO version 4.4 to perform a simultaneous integrated boost （SIB） for head and neck and central nervous system （CNS） cases in paediatric patients. methods： The CT scan data for five paediatric patients, with head and neck and CNS tumors, were transferred into both of the TPSs. Clinical step-and-shoot intensity-modulated radiotherapy （ImRT） treatment plans were designed using 6 mV photon beam for delivery on a Siemens Oncor Accelerator with multileaf collimator mLC （82 leaf）. Plans were optimized to achieve the same clinical objectives using the same beam energy, number and direction of beams. The analysis was based on isodose distributions, the dose volume histogram （DVH） for planning target volume （PTV） and the relevant organs at risk （OARs） as well as volume receiving 2 Gy and 5 Gy, also total number of segments, mU/segment, and the number of mU/cGy had been investigated. Treatment delivery time and conformation number were two other parameters in this study. Results： The segmentation using KonRad was more efficient, resulting in fewer segments （reduction between 13.2% and 48.3%）, fewer m Us （reduction between 10.7% and 33%） and that reflected on treatment delivery times to be shorter by up to 8 rain or 46%. In most of the cases KonRad had the highest volume receiving in excess of 2 and 5 Gy, and XiO showed the lowest. Also KonRad achieved slightly better conformality （0.76 ± 0.054） than XiO （0.73 ± 0.05） while XiO presented a higher modulation factor value （3.3 mU/cGy） than KonRad （2.4 mU/cGy）. Conclusion： The KonRad treatment planning system was found to be superior to the XiO treatment planning system. This is true for the possible increase of radiation-induced secondary malignancies as well as for the local control.

Currently, relational database management systems (RDBmSs)face different challenges in application development due to the massive growthof unstructured and semi-structured data. This introduced new DBmS categories, known as not only structured query language (NoSQL) DBmSs, whichdo not adhere to the relational model. The migration from relational databasesto NoSQL databases is challenging due to the data complexity. This study aimsto enhance the storage performance of RDBmSs in handling a variety of *** paper presents two approaches. The first approach proposes a convenientrepresentation of unstructured data storage. Several extensive experimentswere implemented to assess the efficiency of this approach that could resultin substantial improvements in the RDBmSs storage. The second approachproposes using the JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) format to representmultivalued attributes and many to many (m:N) relationships in relationaldatabases to create a flexible schema and store semi-structured data. Theresults indicate that the proposed approaches outperform similar approachesand improve data storage performance, which helps preserve software stabilityin huge organizations by improving existing software packages whose replacement may be highly costly.

Novel neuroprotective and hepatoprorective effects of citric acid in acute malathion intoxication

Objective: To study the effect of citric acid given alone or combined with atropine on brain oxidative stress, neuronal injury, liver damage, and DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes induced in the rat by acute malathion exposure. methods: Rats were received intraperitoneal(i.p.) injection of malathion 150 mg/kg along with citric acid(200 or 400 mg/kg, orally), atropine(1 mg/kg, i.p.) or citric acid 200 mg/kg+atropine 1 mg/kg and euthanized 4 h later. Results: malathion resulted in increased lipid peroxidation(malondialdehyde) and nitric oxide concentrations accompanied with a decrease in brain reduced glutathione, glutathione peroxidase(GPx) activity, total antioxidant capacity(TAC) and glucose concentrations. Paraoxonase-1, acetylcholinesterase(ACh E) and butyrylcholinesterase activities decreased in brain as well. Liver aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activities were raised. The Comet assay showed increased DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes. Histological damage and increased expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS) were observed in brain and liver. Citric acid resulted in decreased brain lipid peroxidation and nitric oxide. meanwhile, glutathione, GPx activity, TAC capacity and brain glucose level increased. Brain ACh E increased but PON1 and butyrylcholinesterase activities decreased by citric acid. Liver enzymes, the percentage of damaged blood lymphocytes, histopathological alterations and i NOS expression in brain and liver was decreased by citric acid. meanwhile, rats treated with atropine showed decreased brain mDA, nitrite but increased GPx activity, TAC, ACh E and glucose. The drug also decreased DNA damage of peripheral blood lymphocytes, histopathological alterations and i NOS expression in brain and liver. Conclusions: The study demonstrates a beneficial effect for citric acid upon brain oxidative stress, neuronal injury, liver and DNA damage due to acute malathion exposure.

FSH/LH Ratio as a Predictor of the IVF Outcome in Young Women

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the treatment for many causes of infertility. many studies were done to investigate different factors that can affect the success rate. This study was conducted to evaluate if cycle day 3 (CD3) follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)/luteinizing hormone (LH) ratio can be a predictor for the IVF outcome in young sub-fertile females ≤ 35 years with normal baseline FSH. This is a retrospective case control study conducted at the Centre of Fertility and Andrology Care (CFAC) in Egypt where 235 sub-fertile women underwent IVF. Patients were grouped based on CD3 FSH/LH ratio. Group A consisted of ≤35-year-old women with FSH/LH ratio ≤35-year-old women with FSH/LH ratio ≥ 2. The primary outcomes include the fertilization rate, implantation rate and the clinical pregnancy rate. The secondary outcomes include duration and the total dose of gonadotrophin used. We found that, there was no significant difference in the total dose of gonadotropin used during the IVF cycle. Also, there was no significant difference in the number of retrieved and fertilized oocytes and the number of good embryos. Clinical pregnancy rate was the same in both groups. In conclusion, in patients younger than 35 years, CD3 FSH/LH ratio is not a predictor for IVF outcome.

In this paper, we will study the most important effects in the nano-scale resonator: the coupling effect of temperature and strain rate, and the non-Fourier effect in heat conduction. A solution for the generalized thermoelastic vibration of nano-resonator induced by thermal loading has been developed. The Young’s modulus is taken as a linear function of the reference temperature. The effects of the thermal loading and the reference temperature in all the studied fields have been studied and represented in graphs with some comparisons. The Young’s modulus makes significant effects on all the studied fields where the values of the temperature, the vibration of the deflection, stress, displacement, strain, stress-strain energy increase when the Young’s modulus has taken to be variable.

Colorectal cancer(CRC) is a devastating disease, mainly because of metastasis. As a result, there is a need to better understand the molecular basis of invasion and metastasis and to identify new biomarkers and therapeutic targets to aid in managing these tumors. The actin cytoskeleton and actin-binding proteins are known to play an important role in the process of cancer metastasis because they control and execute essential steps in cell motility and contractility as well as cell division. Caldesmon(CaD) is an actin-binding protein encoded by the CALD1 gene as multiple transcripts that mainly encode two protein isoforms: High-molecular-weight CaD, expressed in smooth muscle, and low-molecular weight CaD(l-CaD), expressed in nonsmooth muscle cells. According to our comprehensive review of the literature, CaD, particularly l-CaD, plays a key role in the development, metastasis, and resistance to chemoradiotherapy in colorectal, breast, and urinary bladder cancers and gliomas, among other malignancies. CaD is involved in many aspects of the carcinogenic hallmarks, including epithelial mesenchymal transition via transforming growth factor-beta signaling, angiogenesis, resistance to hormonal therapy, and immune evasion. Recent data show that CaD is expressed in tumor cells as well as in stromal cells, such as cancerassociated fibroblasts, where it modulates the tumor microenvironment to favor the tumor. Interestingly, CaD undergoes selective tumor-specific splicing, and the resulting isoforms are generally not expressed in normal tissues, making these transcripts ideal targets for drug design. In this review, we will analyze these features of CaD with a focus on CRC and show how the currently available data qualify CaD as a potential candidate for targeted therapy in addition to its role in the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer.
