FTs a.e the site for the fina. maturation of gametes, fertiliza.ion, transport of preimpla.ta.ion emb.yos, a.d ea.ly emb.yonic development b.fore entering the uterus. a.l these functions a.e critica. in the esta.1}ishment of a.successful pregna.cy. When the emb.yo is in transit through the FT, the FT microenvironment changes through endocrine, pa.3}crine, a.tocrine, a.d juxta.rine mechanisms which involve va.ious hormones a.d b.oa.tive sub.ta.ces mainly from the neighb.ring cells. Therefore, the interactions b.tween the emb.yo a.d the FT may b. the ea.liest emb.yo-materna. communica.ions that a.e essentia. for the esta.1}ishment of pregna.cy. This review critica.ly discusses the evidence of va.ious hormona. a.d b.oa.tive media.ed control of the microenvironment in the FTs during the ea.liest emb.yo-materna. communica.ions.
