nanosecond pulse generation is dem.nstrated in a mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL) utilizing a samarium oxide(Sm2O3) film. The Sm2O3 film exhibits a modulation depth of 33%, which is suitable for modelocking operation. The passively pulsed EDFL operates stably at 1569.8 nm within a pumping power from 109 to 146 m W. The train of generated output pulses has a pulse width of 356 nm repeated at a fundamental frequency of 0.97 mHz. The average output power of 3.91 m W is obtained at a pump power of 146 m W, corresponding to 4.0 nJ pulse energy. The experimental result indicates that the proposed Sm2O3 saturable absorber is viable for the construction of a flexible and reliably stable mode-locked pulsed fiber laser operating in the 1.5 m region.

The first problem considered in this article reads： is it possible to find upper estimates for the spanning tree congestion in bipartite graphs, which are better than those for general graphs？ it is proved that there exists a bipartite version of the known graph with spanning tree congestion of order n3/2, where n is the number of vertices. The second problem is to estimate spanning tree congestion of random graphs. it is proved that the standard model of random graphs cannot be used to find graphs whose spanning tree congestion has order greater than n3/2.

in this work, five mixtures with different concentrations of banana-shaped and calamitic compounds have been prepared and subsequently studied by polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and X-ray diffraction on non-oriented samples. The phase sequences and molecular parameters of the binary systems are presented.

in addition to their visible motion such as swimming(e.g.,with the help ofﬂagella),bacteria can also exhibit nanomotion that is detectable only with highly sensitive instruments,and this study shows that it is possible to detect bacterial nanomotion using an AFm detection *** results show that the nanomotion characteristics depend on the bacterial strain,and that nanomotion can be used to sense the metabolic activity of bacteria because the oscillations are sensitive to the food preferences of the bacteria and the type of surrounding medium.

The study of the influence of the cobalt content on the cyclic stability of superelasticity(SE)was carried out in quenched ni_(44)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(10)and ni_(39)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(15)(at.%)single crystals under *** is shown that an increase in the cobalt content leads to embrittlem.nt of the material and a decrease in the cyclic stability of *** ni_(44)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(10)single crystals,during the first 20 loading/unloading cycles,the elastic energy relaxation occurs along with the formation of dislocations and residual martensite,which leads to a decrease in critical stress of martensite formation and in stress *** the next 80 cycles,SE becomes more *** is accompanied by a slight change in the *** the contrary,ni_(39)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(15)single crystals are characterized by high-strength characteristics,which lead to high SE stability during the first 20 loading/unloading ***,after 20 cycles,a strong degradation of the SE is observed through the formation of microcracks,which ultimately leads to the destruction of the *** results of work are replicable for cycling at different temperatures from all temperature ranges of superelasticity.

Wheat （Triticum aestivum） seeds were treated with atmospheric pressure gliding arc discharge plasmas to investigate the effects on water absorption, seed germination rate, seedling growth and yield in wheat. The surface architectures and functionalities of the seeds were found to modify due to plasma treatments. 6 rain treatment was provided 95%-100% germination rate. For the treatment duration of 3 and 9 rain the growth activity, dry matter accumulation, leaves chlorophyll contents, longest spikes, number of spikes/spikelet and total soluble protein content in shoots were improved. The grain yield of wheat was increased ,--20% by 6 min treatment with H2O/O2 plasma with respect to control.
