The influence of flux cored arc welding （FCAW） process parameters such as welding current, travel speed, voltage and CO2 shielding gas flow rate on bowing distortion of 409m ferritic stainless steel sheets of 2 mm in thickness was discussed. The bowing distortions of the welded plates were measured using a simple device called profile tracer. An experimental regression equation was developed to predict the bowing distortion and with this equation, it is easy to select optimized process parameters to achieve minimum bowing distortion. it is revealed that the FCAW process parameters have significant influence on bead profile and the bowing distortion.

An improved hybrid position/force controller design of a flexible robot manipulator is presented using a sliding observer. The friction between the end effector and the environment is considered and compensated. For systematic reasons the controller is designed taking into consideration the rigid link subsystems and the flexible joints. The proposed control system satisfies the stability of the two subsystems and copes with the uncertainty of robot dynamics. A sliding observer is designed to estimate the time derivative of the torque applied as input to the rigid part of the robot. For the stability of the observer, it is assumed that the uncertainty of the observed system is bounded. A mRAC algorithm is used for the estimation of the friction forces at the contact point between the end effector and the environment. Finally simulation and experimental results are given, to dem.nstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

in this article, the transonic inviscid flow over a deformable airfoil with plunging motion is studied numerically. A finite volume method based on the Roe scheme developed in a generalized coordinate is used along with an arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian method and a dynamic mesh algorithm to track the instantaneous position of the airfoil. The effects of different governing parameters such as the phase angle, the deformation amplitude, the initial angle of attack, the flapping frequency, and the mach number on the unsteady flow field and aerodynamic coefficients are investigated in detail. The results show that maneuverability of the airfoil under various flow conditions is improved by the deformation. in addition, as the oscillation frequency of the airfoil increases, its aerodynamic performance is significantly improved.

mg-based hydrogen storage materials are considered to be one of the most promising solid-state hydrogen storage materials due to their large hydrogen storage capacity and low cost. However, slow hydrogen absorption/desorption rate and excessive hydrogen absorption/desorption temperature limit the application of mg-based hydrogen storage *** present paper reviews the advances in the research of mg-based hydrogen storage film in recent years, including the advantage of the film, the function theory of fabricating method and its functional theory, and the influencing factors in the technological process. The research status worldwide is introduced in detail. By comparing pure mg, Pd-caped mg, nonpalladium capped mg, and mg alloy hydrogen storage films, an ideal tendency for producing mg-based film is pointed out,for example, looking for a cheap metal elem.nt to replace the high-priced Pd, compositing mg film with other hydrogen storage alloy of catalytic elem.nts, and so on.

This paper reports a facile environmentally safe green combustion synthesis method of La3+doped CdO nanoparticles(nPs)using different concentrations of Aloe vera(A.V)gel as combustible *** crystallite size obtained using PXRD pattern is found to be 12-22 *** structural analysis was further analysed by Rietveld refinem.nt *** X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis reveals the presence of two electronic states of CdO around 400 and 411 eV attributed to Cd 3 d3/2 and 3 d3/2,*** photoluminescence(PL)studies were carried upon 350 nm excitation *** PL emission spectra are found to have two prominent peaks centered at 410 and 510 nm and are attributed to 5D3→7F1 and 5D1→7F0 transitions,*** Commission international de l’Eclairage(CiE)chromaticity diagram reveals blue-green color *** correlation color temperature(CCT)value is found to be around^9793 *** obtained results suggest that the product is quite useful for cool light emitting diode applications when doping concentration is 2 mol%.

Objective:To evaluate the polio laboratory surveillance carried out from January,2019 to may,2023 by the Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri ***:This retrospective study analyzed all stool samples received under the acute flaccid paralysis(AFP)and immunodeficient vaccine-derived poliovirus(VDPV)surveillance at Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka from January,2019 to may,*** results of the testing methodologies were extracted from the laboratory data system,i.e.,poliovirus virus isolation,intra-typic differentiation/VDPV real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(iTD/VDPV rRTPCR)and sequencing,along with the data on timing of reporting results,stool adequacy and *** was analyzed using descriptive ***:A total of 2141 stool samples from 1644 cases were received for AFP surveillance from Sri Lanka(93.61%),maldives(1.52%),and immunodeficient VDPV(4.86%)*** polioviruses(19/1644,1.15%)and non-polio enteroviruses(73/1644,4.44%)were isolated,while Sabin-like 3 virus was detected in majority(12/19,63.15%)among the poliovirus *** polioviruses or circulating VDPVs were not detected among the *** all years of the study,the non-polio AFP detection rate was>1/100000 in children aged less than 15 years,whereas stool adequacy rate was>80%.All results were reported within 14 days of receipt,ensuring timely reporting as per global ***:The Polio Regional Reference Laboratory,Sri Lanka plays a vital role in maintaining the polio-free status in the country through its robust laboratory surveillance,while adhering to the surveillance ***-detection of wild polioviruses and circulating VDPV during the study period reinforces the polio-free status in the country.
