We investigate the effects of different contents of multiwall carbon nanotubes （mWCnTs） on optical and electrical properties of polyaniline （PAni）. The mWCnTs/PAni composites are deposited on glass substrates coated with indium tin oxide （iTO） by the spin-coating technique. The scanning electron microscopy shows that nanotubes are coated with the PAni layer and x-ray diffraction patterns show that all deposited composite films have an amorphous character. The analysis of a UV-vis spectrophotometer indicates the blue shift of the absorbance peak and a decrease in optical band gap value by the enhancem.nt of the CnT content in the PAni matrix while the Urbach energy increases. The Raman spectrum shows the blue shift 1404→1417cm^-1 and photoluminescence spectra show an increase in the intensity of characteristic PAni peak at 436 nm with the increasing CnT content.

The ishiagu area is a water scarce region and has played host to mining activities for more than four decades. mining-related activities have become a threat to potable water supply in the area. This paper is an attempt to show the extent of this threat and in particular, investigate the regional groundwater occurrence and flow pattem based on GPS, water well and geological data. This basin- wide model can be used for further groundwater assess- ment, pollution control and contaminant managem.nt. Groundwater occurs between 2.4 and 9 m in the Lekwesi- Lokpaukwu area; 1.5-3.7 m in the ndi-Ugbugbor-Ayaragu axis and 1.2-4.6 m in the ishiagu area. Recharge areas include the Leru-amaubiri-Lekwesi sandstone hills and the ihetutu-Ugwuajirija mine field. While the ultimate sink of contamiants is the ivo River system, other discharge axis is the ishiagu-Ayaragu axis and the Ogwor ndi- Ugbugbor zone. An unconfined and a confined （〉 10） circulation groundwater system was inferred, and flow model reveals that a large part of ishiag-Ayaragu and ndi- Ugbugbor part of the study area suffer polluted recharge from the Pb/Zn mining area. Groundwater was also subjected to hierarchical cluster analysis and the existence of 3-4 hydrological regimes, which revealed： Unpolluted recharge areas, areas affected by polluted recharge, a deep water and shallow water circulation and mine effluents.

Recently, nonlinear displaced number states （nDnSs） have been manually introduced, in which the deformation function f（n） has been artificially added to the previously well-known displaced number states （DnSs）. indeed, just a simple comparison has been performed between the standard coherent state and nonlinear coherent state for the formation of nDnSs. in the present paper, after expressing enough physical motivation of our procedure, four distinct classes of nDnSs are presented by applying algebraic and group treatments. To achieve this purpose, by considering the DnSs and recalling the nonlinear coherent states formalism, the nDnSs are logically defined through an algebraic consideration. in addition, by using a particular class of Gilmore-Perelomov-type of SU（1,1） and a class of SU（2） coherent states, the nDnSs are introduced via group-theoretical approach. Then, in order to examine the nonclassical behavior of these states, sub-Poissonian statistics by evaluating mandel parameter and Wigner quasi-probability distribution function associated with the obtained nDnSs are discussed, in detail.

in the Abu Rusheid area, Southeastern Desert of Egypt, polymineralized (HREEs, U, Zn and Pb) lam-prophyre dykes are recently recorded. The lamprophyre dykes cut cataclastic rocks along share zones in nnW-SSE trends. The secondary U-minerals are essentially represented by uranophane, kasolite, torbernite and autunite. Ex-perimental work was carried out on the lamprophyre dykes for the recovery of uranium and other valuable elem.nts (e.g. Zn, Pb and Al) from 50 kg of technological sample. The optimum conditions were: 100 g/L sulfuric acid con-centration, 1:5 S/L (solid/liquid) and soaking for 15 days at room temperature. The leaching efficiencies for the re-covery of uranium and other elem.nts like Al, Zn and Pb were 40, 33.6, 98.8 and 78, respectively.

Callus cultures of Origanum vulgare L. were established from leaf discus on murashige and Skoog （mS） medium containing different levels of growth regulators, i.e., 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid （2,4-D）, naphthalene acetic acid （nAA）, Benzyl adenine （BA） and Kinetin （Kn） and incubated under dark condition. Callus tissues were employed to study the influence of abiotic elicitors on the production of thymol. Constant weights of callus （300 mg） were cultured on accumulation medium treated separately with each one of elicitors used （50 g/L sucrose, 200 mg/L naC1 and 50 or 100 mg/L proline）. The fresh and dry weights of callus were recorded after six weeks. The result indicated that maximum production of fresh and dry callus weight were 1,014 mg and 46.20 mg respectively achieved at 0.5 mg/L 2,4-D and 3 mg/L BA adding to the medium. Dry callus tissues were extracted with 70% methanol and analyzed by HPLC to determine the concentrations of thymol. The addition of abiotic elicitors to mS medium caused significant reduction in fresh weight of callus compared with control treatment. The concentration of thymol in the callus cultured on control treatment was 146.6 ppm. The data showed that 50 or 100 mg/L proline produced the highest yield of thymol 181.48 ppm and 174.58 ppm respectively, followed by sucrose 162.9 ppm, whereas the treatment with naCi caused reduction in thymol concentration to percentage of 50.56% compared with the control.

The structure and the magnetic properties of rf-sputtered nauoscale Tb in [Tb/Ti]n and [Tb/Si] multilayers have been studied experimentally. it is found that the structure of Tb layers changes, transforming from a fine-crystalline state of Tb into an amorphous state as the magnetic layer thickness decreases. The observed displacem.nt of a magnetic ordering temperature to the lower temperature range and the shift of magnetic hysteresis obtained in the ZFC-FC terms may be caused by the size effect and the amorphization. Both the first and the second suppress the exchange interaction and decrease the crystalline magnetic anisotropy. The type of material of nonmagnetic spacers between the Tb layers plays a certain role in these changes.

The subject of this paper is microlasers with the emission spectra determined by the whispering gallery *** to the total internal reflection of light on the sidewalls,a high Q-factor is achieved until the diameter is comparable to the *** light emission predominantly occurs in the plane of the structure,which facilitates the microlaser integration with other *** focus on microdisk lasers with various types of the in(Ga)As quantum dots(QDs).Deep localization of charge carriers in spatilly separated regions suppresses the lateral diffusion and makes it possible to overcome the undesirable effect of non-adiative recombination in deep ***,using conventional epitaxial structures and relatively simple post-growth processing methods,it is possible to realize small microlasers capable of operating without temperature stabilization at elevated *** low sensitivity of QDs to epitaxial and manufacturing defects allows fabricating microlasers using iiV heterostructures grown on silicon.
