First principle calculation within the Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Density Functional Perturbation Theory (DFPT) using Local Density Approximation as implemented in Quantum ESPRESSO has been significantly used to investigate the structural and Piezoelectric, properties of Perovskite ZrTi(PbO3)2. From structural properties calculation, the ground state total energy of -2417.12 eV has been obtained which led to an equilibrium lattice constant of a= 5.620Åfor ZrTi(PbO3)2. Our obtained optimized atomic positions and atomic effective charge shows that the optimized ZrTi(PbO3)2 is stable and the Piezoelectric stress tensor is calculated using Berry-phase approach within density functional perturbation theory (DFPT). From our calculation, we have obtained the stress tensor elements with values of d1,5 = 6.81, d3,1 = 1.69, and d3,3 = 6.18, which is in agreement with the values obtained for tetragonal PbTiO3.

Introduction: Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is vomiting and/or nausea in pregnancy causes dehydration, electrolytes imbalance, weight loss and further serious organs dysfunction. Methods: This was a descriptive, prospective, cross-sectional hospital based total coverage analytic study, which was conducted from November 2013 to May 2014 at Omdurman New Hospital (ONH) for Obstetrics & Gynecology, Khartoum-Sudan. Results: HG prevalence is 13% of complicated pregnancy of ONH admission. Acetonurea is reported in all cases with significant association between acetonurea and smoking (P value = 0.005). A significant association between Hemoglobulin level and the readmission the (P value = 0.01) was reported. One maternal death is reported from severe hypoglycemia and liver impairment. Conclusion: Hyperemesis gravidarum has serious maternal morbidity with social negative impacts and significant financial burden on the health services.

Background: Hallux valgus deformity is one of the most common chronic and progressive foot deformities. Surgical correction of the deformity plays a central role in the treatment of symptomatic hallux valgus. However, more than one hundred different surgical techniques have been described. Objective: To assess the radiological outcome of hallux valgus surgical correction using a scarf and akin osteotomies. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional hospital-based study was conducted on 25 adult patients (36 feet). Twenty-two females and two males with hallux valgus were treated with surgical correction using a scarf and akin osteotomies. All candidates were kept on regular postoperative, scheduled clinical follow-up programs for one year and assessed radiologically. Results: Twenty-five patients (36 feet) were included in this study. The hallux valgus angle significantly shifted to the normal range (less than 15°) after surgery, and the inter-metatarsal angle also improved to the normal range (less than 9°). Conclusion: Using scarf and akin osteotomies in treating moderate and severe hallux valgus deformity provides the satisfactory radiological outcomes in form of decreasing hallux valgus angle and inter-metatarsal angle.

Introduction: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine and metabolic disorders in premenopausal women affecting 5% - 10% women in reproductive age. Many studies show that good dietary habits and balanced diet in addition to regular exercise can significantly improve the symptoms of the syndrome. The prevalence rate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reached 42.8%. This study aimed to measure the awareness of Jazan females about the nutrition related effects of polycystic ovary syndrome and investigate the association between age and awareness of nutrition related effect on PCOS. Method: Cross sectional study was conducted during a period from January 9th to February 5th 2023, by a questionnaire used to measure the awareness of female in Jazan region about the nutrition related effects of poly cystic ovary syndrome. Data was collected using Google questionnaire survey and it was randomly distributed to Jazan women from 18 to 50 years old. The questionnaire was about general information about PCOS, nutrition-related effects of PCOS, the effects of eating patterns on PCOS, physical activity, and sleeping. The sample size was 384 women. Results: The total response was about 363 women. The results showed that women in the Jazan region did not have sufficient knowledge about PCOS 51.5% and 63.4% had no knowledge about diet recommendations for PCOS. However, there was awareness about healthy eating patterns that reduce the symptoms of PCOS. The level of awareness of PCOS and its association with age among Jazan women was higher in young adult groups (21 to 29 years old). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the level of knowledge about PCOS among Jazan women is insufficient. Also, their awareness about diet and lifestyle interventions was low. BACKGROUND Leishmaniasis is a neglected zoonotic disease,endemic in *** this disease is very important to inform the health care policymakers and the governments to apply proper health and economic *** To find out the frequency and distribution of human leishmaniasis based on sex and age for 5 years in the West Kordofan state,*** A 5-year retrospective study from 2016 through 2020 was carried out using local hospital records of leishmaniasis *** positive results were recorded after performing at least one of the following leishmaniasis standard tests:direct agglutination test,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and leishmania skin *** sex and age of each patient were *** collected data were analyzed using STATA package version *** A total of 162443 patient records from 2016 to 2020 were *** these,4.39%were found to be positive for *** disease has been more common in males(65.3%)than in females(34.7%).The highest reported prevalence(6.58%)was in patients 15-44 years,and the lowest prevalence(1.95%)was among patients≥65 *** The results of the current study indicate that leishmaniasis is endemic in the study area even though the numbers of patients in the 5 consecutive years were *** addition,the disease was common in males and *** interpretation of these findings should take into consideration the absence of information about some important confounding factors.
