Quantum teleportation(QT) [1] enables secure transfer of an unknown quantum state between remote locations without physically transmitting the initial state. Unlike QT,with the sender possessing complete knowledge of the initial state, remote state preparation(RSP) [2] exhibits a tradeoff between the amount of the entanglement resource used and the classical communication cost.

Significant progress has been made in machine learning with large amounts of clean labels and static data. However, in many real-world applications, the data often changes with time and it is difficult to obtain massive clean annotations, that is, noisy labels and time series are faced simultaneously. For example, in product-buyer evaluation, each sample records the daily time behavior of users, but the long transaction period brings difficulties to analysis, and salespeople often erroneously annotate the user’s purchase behavior. Such a novel setting, to our best knowledge, has not been thoroughly studied yet, and there is still a lack of effective machine learning methods. In this paper, we present a systematic approach RTS both theoretically and empirically, consisting of two components, Noise-Tolerant Time Series Representation and Purified Oversampling Learning. Specifically, we propose reducing label noise’s destructive impact to obtain robust feature representations and potential clean samples. Then, a novel learning method based on the purified data and time series oversampling is adopted to train an unbiased model. Theoretical analysis proves that our proposal can improve the quality of the noisy data set. Empirical experiments on diverse tasks, such as the house-buyer evaluation task from real-world applications and various benchmark tasks, clearly demonstrate that our new algorithm robustly outperforms many competitive methods.

The structural and surface properties of nanomedicines play an important role in determining their biological fate. Surface chemistry of nanomedicines is one of the key parameters, where researchers used various strategies such as PEGylation to avoid the undesired clearance of nanoparticles (NPs) for enhanced targeting effect. Nevertheless, the fine-tuning of surface chemistry through polymer functionalization remains largely unexplored. In this concise report, we find that the incorporation of only 10 mol% valine residues into the surface-anchored poly(L-glutamic acid) significantly lowered the macrophage uptake of NPs. The introduction of other hydrophobic amino acid residues, however, increased the NPs internalization instead. The chirality and the side-chain structure of valine played an important role in the unexpected uptake behavior. We believe this work highlights the impact of slight changes of the surface-anchored polymer structure on the behavior of NPs, drawing people's attention to the careful design of surface chemistry to optimize the nanomedicine design.

Research on metal-organic framework(MOF)-based non-enzymatic glucose sensors usually ignores the impact of the surface reconstruction degree of MOF on the activity of catalyzing glucose *** this work,we choose zeolitic imidazolate framework-67(ZIF-67),which is commonly used in glucose sensing,as a representative to investigate the influence of reconstruction degree on its structure and glucose catalytic *** employing the electrochemical activation strategy,the activity of ZIF-67 in catalyzing glucose gradually increased with the prolongation of the activation time,reaching the optimum after 2 h *** detection sensitivity of the activated ZIF-67 was 19 times higher than that of the initial ZIF-67,and the limit of detection(LOD)was lowered from 7 to 0.4μ*** findings demonstrate that the oxidation degree of ZIF-67 deepened rapidly with continuously activation and was basically reconstructed to CoOOH after 2 h activation,accompanied by a morphological change from cuboctahedral to ***,theoretical investigation revealed that ZIF-67 is not suitable as a stable glucose sensor electrode since the adsorbed glucose molecules hasten the dissociation of ligands and the breaking of Co-N bond in ***,our work has important implications for the rational design of next-generation MOF-based glucose sensors.

This work studied the thickening progression mechanism of the silica fume-oil well cement composite system at high temperatures(110-180.C) in order to provide a theoretical guidance for the rational application of silica fume in the cementing engineering. Results showed that silica fume seldom affected the thickening progression of oil well cement slurry at 110-120.C, but when temperature reached above130.C, it would aggravate the bulging degree of thickening curves and significantly extend the thickening time, meanwhile causing the abnormal “temperature-based thickening time reversal” and“dosage-based thickening time reversal” phenomena in the range of 130-160.C and 170-180.C respectively. At 130-160.C, the thickening time of oil well cement slurry was mainly associated with the generation rate of calcium hydroxide(CH) crystal. The introduced silica fume would be attracted to the cement minerals' surface that were hydrating to produce CH and agglomerate together to form an“adsorptive barrier” to hinder further hydration of the inner cement minerals. This “adsorptive barrier”effect strengthened with the rising temperature which extended the thickening time and caused the occurrence of the “temperature-based thickening time reversal” phenomenon. At 170-180.C, the pozzolanic activity of silica fume significantly enhanced and considerable amount of C-S-H was generated, thus the “temperature-based thickening time reversal” vanished and the “dosage-based thickening time reversal” was presented.

Passive radiative cooling is a promising passive cooling technology that emits heat to deep space without energy ***,the persistent challenge of overcooling in static radiative techniques has raised *** a desirable solution is suggested based on vanadium dioxide(VO_(2))in the form of a Fabry-Perot(F-P)resonant cavity,the inherent contradiction between desired high emissivity(ε)and low solar absorptance(α_(sol))remains a notable ***,we employed a simple mask-filling technique to develop a temperature-adaptive metasurface radiative cooling device(ATMRD)for dynamic thermal *** and experimental results substantially evidenced that multiple localized polariton resonances were induced by the VO_(2)metasurface,significantly enhancing the thermal emittance of the *** engineered ATMRD achieved an amazing switch of the atmospheric window emittance from 0.13 to 0.85 when the surface temperature exceeds a pre-set transition temperature,accompanied by a commendableα_(sol)of 27.71%.The mechanism of multiple localized polariton resonances is discussed in detail to understand the enhanced performance based on the investigation of the relationship between the metasurface structure and multiple localized polariton *** demonstrate an efficient smart radiative technique achieved by a simple micro/nanoprocess and,most importantly,contribute a valuable reference for the design of radiative devices,which is crucial in various areas such as passive cooling,smart windows,multifunctional electromagnetic response,and space application technologies.

Quantum heat engines and refrigerators are open quantum systems,whose dynamics can be well understood using a non-Hermitian formalism.A prominent feature of non-Hermiticity is the existence of exceptional points(EPs),which has no counterpart in closed quantum *** has been shown in classical systems that dynamical encirclement in the vicinity of an EP,whether the loop includes the EP or not,could lead to chiral mode ***,we show that this is valid also for quantum systems when dynamical encircling is performed in the vicinity of their liouvillian EPs(LEPs),which include the effects of quantum jumps and associated noise—an important quantum feature not present in previous *** demonstrate,using a Paul-trapped ultracold ion,the first chiral quantum heating and refrigeration by dynamically encircling a closed loop in the vicinity of an *** witness the cycling direction to be associated with the chirality and heat release(absorption)of the quantum heat engine(quantum refrigerator).Our experiments have revealed that not only the adiabaticity breakdown but also the Landau–Zener–Stückelberg process play an essential role during dynamic encircling,resulting in chiral thermodynamic *** observations contribute to further understanding of chiral and topological features in non-Hermitian systems and pave a way to exploring the relation between chirality and quantum thermodynamics.
