Oncofertility is an extremely signiﬁcant topic that is increasingly being discussed owing to increased evidence indicating that fertility preservation does not affect the treatment outcomes of patients with cancer but signiﬁcantly contributes to preserving life *** effect of chemotherapy can range from minimal effects to complete ovarian *** data are available on the effects of monoclonal antibodies and targeted therapies on the ovaries and *** ovarian suppression by administering a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(gnRHa)during chemotherapy decreases the gonadotoxic effect of chemotherapy,thereby diminishing the chance of developing premature ovarian insufﬁciency(POI).At present,the concomitant administration of gnRH analogs during chemotherapy is the only accepted pharmacological method for preserving ovarian ***,most randomized studies on the effectiveness of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists during chemotherapy in preventing POI have been conducted in women with breast cancer,with a considerably small number of studies on patients with hematological ***,most randomized controlled trials on breast cancer have revealed a decrease in treatment-induced POI risk,regardless of the hormone receptor *** addition,studies on hematological malignancies have yielded negative results;nevertheless,theﬁndings must be interpreted with caution owing to numerous *** guidelines from the American Society of clinical Oncology and ESmO clinical Practice guidelines recommend sperm,oocyte,and embryo cryopreservation as a standard practice and only offering gnRHa to patients when proven fertility preservation methods are not *** this manuscript,we present a comprehensive literature overview on the application of ovarian suppression with gnRHa during chemotherapy in patients with cancer by addressing preclinical and clinical data,as well as future perspectives in thisﬁeld

good information is the basis for good *** many invaluable salmon species,chemical information is necessary to guide and fine-tune their migrations to and from freshwater mating grounds.A problem is that salmon of the current world are running a gauntlet of toxic chemicals arising from diverse anthropogenic inputs and these chemicals are known to disrupt *** is sufficient evidence that effluents from cities,mines,agriculture and industry contain chemicals that can rapidly,and sometimes irreversibly,impair the olfactory sense that salmon use to gather *** toxic inputs may not only be strong enough to impair migration,but be strong enough to redirect salmon away from their *** is also evidence that some synthetic chemicals may serve as the basis for ‘new’ information and be useful in making correct migratory *** the plus side,there are examples of new regulations that limit the input of chemicals of known olfactory toxicity,but on the minus side,increased urbanization and global climate change will likely increase the number and/or severity of some neurotoxic *** we identify the specific avenues of chemical risks to information disruption and in so doing prioritize and rank the risks to migrating *** data collected here can be used to lay the foundation for modelling the effects of anthropogenic inputs on information disruption in diverse salmonid species from around the world and therefore help secure their longevity in a changing chemical environment.

Population Dynamics and Key Influencing Factors of microthrix parvicella caused Sludge Bulking

given the frequent occurrence of the sludge bulking phenomena caused by microthrix parvicella（m. parvicella）overgrowth during the low-temperature period in the full-scale municipal wastewater treatment plant，the filamentous bacteria dynamics of the m. parvicella population were systematically investigated during the completed bulking period using the multi-dimensional integrated filamentous monitoring method combined with the molecular quantitative method. A lab-scale reactor was constructed and successfully simulated bulking phenomena under the low-temperature condition. The trend of dominant filamentous bacterial shift and the main influencing parameters were estimated during the bulking period，to verify the key factors for filament growth and extinction of the sludge bulking phenomenon in the full-scale plant. The results showed that the bulking-caused m. parvicella was characterized by significant changes in the diversity of filamentous bacteria，and the dominant filamentous bacterial succession was reflected in the competition between the skeleton filamentous bacteria Type 0092 and Type 0041 and m. parvicella. At lower temperatures，sludge loading was an important controlling factor for the competitive growth advantage of m. parvicella：when the temperature was lower（approximately 15°c），low sludge loading［0.05 kg·（kg·d）−1］could lead to the stabilized elevation of m. parvicella，and with the loading increased to 0.1 kg·（kg·d）−1 or more，m. parvicella populations showed a targeted decline despite the presence of the low temperature factor. © 2024 Science Press. “Plasmas” up to a kilometer in size and behaving similarly to multicellular organisms have been filmed on 10 separate NASA space shuttle missions, over 200 miles above Earth within the thermosphere. These self-illuminated “plasmas” are attracted to and may “feed on” electromagnetic radiation. They have different morphologies: 1) cone, 2) cloud, 3) donut, 4) spherical-cylindrical;and have been filmed flying towards and descending from the thermosphere into thunderstorms;congregating by the hundreds and interacting with satellites generating electromagnetic activity;approaching the Space Shuttles. computerized analysis of flight path trajectories documents these plasmas travel at different velocities from different directions and change their angle of trajectory making 45°, 90°, and 180° shifts and follow each other. They’ve been filmed accelerating, slowing down, stopping, congregating, engaging in “hunter-predatory” behavior and intersecting plasmas leaving a plasma dust trail in their wake. Similar life-like behaviors have been demonstrated by plasmas created experimentally. “Plasmas” may have been photographed in the 1940s by WWII pilots (identified as “Foo fighters”);repeatedly observed and filmed by astronauts and military pilots and classified as Unidentified Aerial—Anomalous Phenomenon. Plasmas are not biological but may represent a form of pre-life that via the incorporation of elements common in space, could result in the synthesis of RNA. Plasmas constitute a fourth state of matter, are attracted to electromagnetic activity, and when observed in the lower atmosphere likely account for many of the UFO-UAP sightings over the centuries.

The presence of heavy metals such as arsenic(As)and chromium(cr)can be considered one of the most toxic heavy *** study aims to develop and evaluate a graphene oxide(gO)based material functionalized with ferrihydrite for the removal of As(V)in the presence of cr(VI).The adsorbent ferrihydrite-functionalized graphene oxide(gOFH)was characterized by SEm,FTIR,XRD,XPS,surface charge,BET and *** adsorption capacities for As(V)and cr(VI)were 160 and 66 mg g^(-1)respectively at pH 4 and 298 K,fitting the Langmuir *** binary systems,gOFH adsorbed As(V)with an adsorption capacity of 137 mg g^(-1)in the presence of 20 mg L^(-1)cr(VI)at room *** analysis revealed an exothermic and spontaneous ***,gOFH effectively removed several coexisting anions from groundwater,including SO_(4)^(2-),cO_(3)^(2-)and cl^(-).This work evidences the potential of gOFH for competitive adsorption of priority pollutants from complex *** gOFH material represents a technically and economically viable technology for application in groundwater decontamination,as it requires inexpensive precursors and ambient conditions during synthesis and operation.

Broad Hormonal Responses Induced by Aluminum in Roots of Dwarf Transgenics of Solanum lycopersicum L. cv “micro-Tom”

The spatial pattern distribution of plant hormones in response to aluminum (Al) toxicity in roots remains to be shown. This study was performed to assess the root hormonal accumulation and gene expression in response to Al toxicity in five transgenic miniature dwarf tomatoes cv. micro-Tom (mT). mT and mT transgenics to acid indole acetic, cytokinin, gibberellin, abscisic acid and ethylene were cultivated in nutrient solutions containing different Al concentrations. Root growth elongation was measured and cellular damage was visualized by staining Evans’s blue. The gUS reporter gene staining technique was used to visualize hormonal changes in mT apex root tissues. Data indicated that the mT is sensitive to Al that induced significant growth inhibition and cellular damage. Al concentration of 27 μm was significantly toxic, inducing root apex darkening and inhibition of root development. The qualitative evaluation of gUS reporter gene expression showed intense crosstalk among all hormones studied, underscoring the complexity of signaling induced by Al in apex roots. Results point out to a major understanding of the hormonal signaling in response to Al toxicity, which may induce a change of root growth and architecture with growth inhibition and cell constraints modulated by all different hormones evaluated.

Finding the magnetopause location using soft X-ray observations and a statistical inverse method

Variability in the location and shape of the dayside magnetopause is attributed to magnetic reconnection,a fundamental process that enables the transfer of mass,energy,and momentum from the solar wind into the *** spatial and temporal properties of the magnetopause,under varying solar and magnetospheric conditions,remain largely unknown because empirical studies using in-situ observations are challenging to *** wide field-of-view(FOV)imaging is the only means to simultaneously observe the spatial distribution of the plasma properties over the vast dayside magnetospheric region and,subsequently,quantify the energy transport from the interplanetary medium into the terrestrial *** upcoming missions,ESA/cAS SmILE and NASA’s LEXI will provide wide-field imagery of the dayside magnetosheath in soft X-rays,an emission generated by charge exchange interactions between high charge-state heavy ions of solar wind origin and exospheric neutral ***-cadence two-dimensional observations of the magnetosheath will allow the estimation of dynamic properties of its inner boundary,the magnetopause,and enable studies of its response to changes in the solar wind dynamic pressure and interplanetary magnetic field *** work introduces a statistically-based estimation approach based on inverse theory to estimate the spatial distribution of magnetosheath soft X-ray emissivities and,with this,identify the location of the magnetopause over the Sun−Earth *** do so,we simulate the magnetosheath structure using the mHD-based Openggcm model and generate synthetic soft X-ray images using LEXI’s orbit and attitude *** results show that 3-D estimations using the described statistically-based technique are robust against Poisson-distributed shot noise inherent to soft X-ray ***,our proposed methodology shows that the accuracy of both three-dimensional(3-D)estimation and the magnetopause standoff distance calculation hi

Pb-Sn mixed perovskites are becoming increasingly popular as narrowbandgap(1.2–1.3 eV)light absorbers in single-junction perovskite solar cells(PScs)and as bottom cells for all-perovskite tandem solar cells,for highefficiency,low-cost,lightweight,roll-to-roll printable photovoltaic(PV)*** the first report of planar Pb:Sn mixed PScs in 2014,the power conversion efficiencies(PcE)have increased from 10%to 21%by the end of 2020 with an exponential growth in research conducted in this *** much effort,the performance and stability of Pb-Sn mixed PScs are still limited,which constrains their long-term use in all-perovskite tandem *** review highlights the avenues explored in improving different aspects of Pb-Sn mixed PScs and provides a comprehensive discussion of the interdependent factors affecting the device *** includes compositional engineering of the perovskite crystal,absorber layer fabrication and crystallization methods,bandgap tuning,Sn4+reduction,and surface passivation of the absorber layer,as well as the selection of interlayers and electrodes of the final PSc.

One of the most important parameters in meteorology is the mean wind proﬁle in the tropical cyclone boundary *** vertical proﬁle of wind speed and wind direction were measured during the period of the Nisarga cyclone from may 31st,2020,to June 5th,2020,using the newly installed Phased Array Doppler Sodar system at the center for Space and Atmospheric Science(cSAS),Sanjay ghodawat University,Kolhapur(16.74◦N,74.37◦E;near India's western coast).Our analysis revealed that the maximum mean wind speed was 17 m/s on June 3,2020,at 10:00 *** also shows the change in wind direction from southwest to southeast on June 2 and 3,*** high-resolution reanalysis data in the domain,0–25◦N,65–110◦E,during the period from may 31st to June 5th,2020,revealed the variation of the atmospheric pressure of the Nisarga cyclone from 1000 to 1008 hPa,sea surface temperature(SST)between 30◦c and 31◦c,outgoing longwave radiation(OLR)between 100 and 240 Wm-2,wind speed between 3 and 15 m/s,and low values of vertical wind shear(VWS)were observed to the north of Nisarga *** observations may provide more insights for the study of boundary layer turbulence during cyclonic activities.
