Identifying the parameters of photovoltaic(PV)modules is significant for their design and *** of the instabilities in the weather action and land surface of the earth,which cause errors in measuring,a novel fuzzy representation-based PV module is formulated and *** this paper,a novel locomotion-based hybrid salp swarm algorithm(LHSSA)is presented to identify the parameters of PV modules accurately and *** the LHSSA,better leader salps based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)are incorporated to the traditional salp swarm algorithm(SSA)in a serialized scheme with the aim of providing more valuable information for the leader salps of the *** this integration,the proposed LHSSA can escape the local optima as well as guide the seeking process to attain the promising *** proposed LHSSA is investigated on different PV models,i.e.,single-diode(SD),double-diode(DD),and PV module in crisp and fuzzy *** comparing with different algorithms,the comprehensive results affirm that the LHSSA can achieve a highly competitive performance,especially on quality and reliability.

This paper sets out to examine the ＂exhausted narrative＂ in aesthetic and poetic experience, revealing the affect and effect of Tsai Ming-Liang＇s film-making. He is notable for his obsession with ruins, defunct construction sites, abandoned buildings, and film itself as a modern ruin. These sites are a reminder of the alienated subjects within its historical context, a fragmented narrative, and an uncertain or failed future to come, just like the ruin--a chapter of a halted story. Tsai＇s films are not only full of ruinous images and bodies, but even the fragmented narratives are ruinous, turning in elliptical circles, aiming toward their morbid ending until their total exhaustion. This cinematic ouroboros ophis will be discussed in two aspects： first, as an aesthetic practice, and second, as the parallelism between the on- and off-screen reality of the mode of production and reception in the cinematic experience. The term ＂exhausted narratives＂ refers to the processes of writing meta-fiction, as that of ＂re-orchestrating＂ and ＂re-editing＂ the past with respect to the present, and to inscribing Tsai＇s own narrative universe.

Detecting COVID-19 cases as early as possible became a critical issue that must be addressed to avoid the pandemic’s additional spread and early provide the appropriate treatment to the affected *** study aimed to develop a COVID-19 diagnosis and prediction(AIMDP)model that could identify patients with COVID-19 and distinguish it from other viral pneumonia signs detected in chest computed tomography(CT)*** proposed system uses convolutional neural networks(CNNs)as a deep learning technology to process hundreds of CT chest scan images and speeds up COVID-19 case prediction to facilitate its *** employed the whale optimization algorithm(WOA)to select the most relevant patient signs.A set of experiments validated AIMDP *** demonstrated the superiority of AIMDP in terms of the area under the curve-receiver operating characteristic(AUC-ROC)curve,positive predictive value(PPV),negative predictive rate(NPR)and negative predictive value(NPV).AIMDP was applied to a dataset of hundreds of real data and CT images,and it was found to achieve 96%AUC for diagnosing COVID-19 and 98%for overall *** results showed the promising performance of AIMDP for diagnosing COVID-19 when compared to other recent diagnosing and predicting models.

The consequences of genomic architecture on ecological speciation in postglacial fishes

The quest for the origin of species has entered the genomics era. Despite decades of evidence confirming the role of the environment in ecological speciation, an understanding of the genomics of ecological speciation is still in its infancy. In this review, we explore the role of genomic architecture in ecological speciation in postglacial fishes. Growing evidence for the num- ber, location, effect size, and interactions among the genes underlying population persistence, adaptive trait divergence, and re- productive isolation in these fishes reinforces the importance of considering genomic architecture in studies of ecological speci- ation. Additionally, these populations likely adapt to new freshwater environments by selection on standing genetic variation, as de novo mutations are unlikely under such recent divergence times. We hypothesize that modular genomic architectures in post- glacial fish taxa may be associated with the probability of population persistence. Empirical studies have confirmed the genic na- ture of ecological speciation, implicating surprisingly extensive linkage disequilibrium across the genome. An understanding of these genomic mosaics and how they contribute to reproductive barriers remains unclear, but migration rates and the strength of selection at these loci is predicted to influence the likelihood of population divergence. Altogether, understanding the role of ge- nomic architecture is an important component of speciation research and postglacial fishes continue to provide excellent organ- isms to test these questions, both from the perspective of variation in architectures among taxa, and with respect to the distinct environments they have colonized. However, more empirical tests of ecological speciation predictions are needed [Current Zoo- logy 59 （1）： 53-71, 2013].

Aims Fire has important consequences on vegetation *** fire-prone areas,natural selection favors plant species,characterized by a large soil seed bank,and that their germination is stimu-lated by *** seed germination stimulated by fire heat is common in the eastern Mediterranean Basin,only little is known about germination stimulation by *** examined the inter-active effect of aerosol smoke and fire history on the germina-ble soil seed bank(GSSB)community in eastern Mediterranean *** We collected soil samples from sites that have been subjected to different fire frequencies during the last four decades and exposed them to aerosol smoke,with or without *** document-ing the seed germination patterns characterizing these samples,we could test for changes in the abundance and richness of the germi-nable seeds in the *** Findings Total GSSB density was higher in sites that were burned more fre-quently during the last four *** to aerosol smoke increased the GSSB density,and this pattern was more pronounced in samples originating from sites burned more frequently,as well as among annual ***,exposing wet samples to aerosol smoke caused a significant reduction in GSSB density and *** results highlight the importance of exploring germination responses using intact soil samples,rather than synthetic seed ***,our findings emphasize the important role smoke plays in shaping post-fire succession processes in the Mediterranean Basin,mainly by stimulating the germination of annual species.

As total life expectancy increases, the prevalence of age-related diseases such as diabetes and Alzheimer's disease is also increasing. Many hypotheses about Alzheimer's disease have been developed, including cholinergic neuron damage, oxidative stress, and inflammation. Acetylcholine is a major neurotransmitter in the brain and cholinergic deficits leads to cognitive dysfunction and decline. Recent studies have linked diabetes as a risk factor in developing Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. The incidence of patients with type II diabetes and increased levels and activity of α-amylase is higher in patients with dementia. It has been shown that aromatherapy with essential oils from the mint family can improve cognitive performance in Alzheimer's disease patients. Selected monoterpenoids from these essential oils are reported to inhibit acetylcholinesterase, both in vitro and in vivo. Terpenoids are small, fat-soluble organic molecules that can transfer across nasal mucosa if inhaled, or penetrate through the skin after topical application, enter into the blood and cross the blood-brain barrier. Recent evidence supports the idea that the common constituents of essential oils also inhibit α-amylase, a starch digestive enzyme that plays an important role in the control of diabetes. The mint family is a fragrant plant family that contains most of the culinary herbs found in the Mediterranean diet. The Mediterranean diet is considered to be one of the healthiest diets in the world, and is found to be beneficial not only for the heart but also for the brain. Herbs used in this diet are rich in antioxidants that can prevent oxidative damage caused by free radicals. However, our study shows that they also contain biologically active compounds with potent α-amylase and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activities. The purpose of this research was to suggest an applicable procedure for computing the centroid moment tensor(CMT)automatically and in real time from earthquakes that occur in Indonesia and the surrounding *** software was used to estimate the CMT solution by selecting the velocity model that best suited the local and regional geological conditions in Indonesia and the surrounding *** data used in this study were earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.4 to ***-quality,real-time broadband seismographic data were provided by the International Federation of Digital Seismograph Networks Web Services(FDSNWS)and the European Integrated Data Archive(EIDA)Federation in Indonesia and the surrounding ***,the inversion process and filter adjustment were carried out on the seismographic data to obtain good CMT *** CMT solutions from Gisola provided good-quality solutions,in which all earthquake data had A-level quality(high quality,with good variant reduction).The Gisola CMT solution was justified with the Global CMT(GCMT)solution by using the Kagan angle value,with an average of approximately 11.2°.This result suggested that the CMT solution generated from Gisola was trustworthy and *** Gisola CMT solution was typically available within approximately 15 minutes after an earthquake *** it met the quality requirement,it was automatically published on the *** catalog of local and regional earthquake records obtained through this technology holds great promise for improving the current understanding of regional seismic activity and ongoing tectonic *** accurate and real-time CMT solution generated by implementing the Gisola algorithm consisted of moment tensors and moment magnitudes,which provided invaluable insights into earthquakes occurring in Indonesia and the surrounding areas.
