目的在重症监护病房(IntensiveCareUnit,ICU),护土难免会遇到需要限制治疗努力(limiting therapeutie efort,lTE)的患者,尽管多数护士还缺乏为这些临终患者及其家庭提供支持的准备。本综述旨在描述ICU护士在lTE中需要具备的能力。方法对2010年--2023年发表的文献进行综述。系统检索了5个数据库:Medline、Wiley Online library、SciElO、ScienceDirect和Web of Science。使用关键评估项目工具西班牙语版(Critical Appraisal Skills Programme in Spanish,CASPe)作为评判性阅读工具。使用牛津循证医学中心(Center for Evidence-Based Medicine.,CEBM)评估工具确定证据级别和推荐强度。结果共纳入25篇文献。ICU护士lTE护理的能力包括对患者的直接护理、以家庭为中心的护理以及护士在团队中的作用。该综述确定了3个类别的能力:作为患者、家庭与跨学科团队之间维护者的能力,在lTE方面的决策能力,在患者生命末期治疗和护理干预的能力。结论ICU护士在lTE方面需要具备相应的能力,这对患者的生活质量死亡尊严以及患者家庭应对悲伤的全面支持至关重要。

Confinement was a helpful measure to avoid virus propagation, but social isolation and the massive closure of face-to face activities in educational institutions, impacted negatively in mental health of students, it increased stress and anxiety in adolescents, affecting their communication skills in this significant step of interpersonal relationships, and the search for their identity. The lockdown in addition to stress and anxiety triggered fear emotions, frustration, worrying and anger, as well as changes in driving energy, diminishing interest and desires. This work aimed to analyze the impact on mental health in first year secondary school adolescents after the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Method: Qualitative and phenomenological research, 25 students of first year from a public secondary school of Mexico’s metropolitan area participated in the study;they were girls and boys 12 - 13 years old. Data collection was through a semi-structured interview, testimonials and anecdotes, in two hour sessions, along a week;research team recorded the interviews, testimonials and anecdotes. A signed informed consent was obtained from school authorities, parents and the assent of students. Obtained qualitative data were analyzed according to De Souza Minayo. Results: Four categories emerged with sub-categories. Category 1: Anxiety crisis, sub-categories 1.1. In overcrowded places, 1.2. To speak in public, 1.3. Facing interpersonal relationships with peers. Category 2: Impaired self-concept, sub-categories 2.1. Deficient self-perception, 2.2 Continuous disqualification and 2.3. Deficient personal objectivity. Category 3: Emotions handling, and sub-categories 3.1 Deficient identification of emotions, 3.2 Deficient handling of emotions, 3.3 Maximized emotions. Category 4: Coping strategies, and sub-categories 4.1 Deficient coping strategies, 4.2 Self-injuries, 4.3 Solitude. Aim: To compare empathic levels among dental students of five Dental Faculties in Chile. Material and Methods: Empathic orientation of dental students was measured using the Jefferson Scale of Physician Empathy, the Spanish version for students (S version), validated in Chile and culturally adapted to dental students. The data were compared using analysis of variance trifactorial (model III) and by a discriminant analysis. Results: It was found that differences exist between universities empathic orientation, courses, and gender. Conclusions: The results showed a great variability of empathetic guidance values on the factors studied. Discriminant test confirm the similarity and differences found among faculties from the data matrix provided by the scale used. It is not possible in this investigation to explain the variability found.

The widespread uptake of different machine perfusion(MP)strategies for liver transplant has been driven by an effort to minimize graft *** to the cholangiocytes during the liver donation,preservation,or early posttransplant period may result in stricturing of the biliary tree and inadequate biliary *** problem continues to trouble clinicians,and may have catastrophic consequences for the graft and *** injury,as a result of compromised hepatic artery flow,is a well-known cause of biliary strictures,sepsis,and graft ***,very similar lesions can appear with a patent hepatic artery and these are known as ischemic type biliary lesions(ITBl)that are attributed to microcirculatory dysfunction rather than main hepatic arterial *** the warm and cold ischemic period duration appear to influence the onset of *** of the commonly used MP techniques deliver oxygen to the graft cells,and therefore may minimize the cholangiocyte injury and subsequently reduce the incidence of *** clinical experience and published evidence grows for these modalities,the impact they have on ITBl rates is important to *** this review,the evidence for the three commonly used MP strategies(abdominal normothermic regional perfusion[A-NRP],hypothermic oxygenated perfusion[HOPE],and normothermic machine perfusion[NMP])for ITBl prevention has been critically *** with ITBl definitions used in trials,coupled with variations in techniques of MP,make interpretation ***,the evidence suggests that both HOPE and A-NRP prevent ITBl in donated after circulatory death grafts compared to cold *** evidence for ITBl prevention in donor after brain death grafts with any MP technique is weak.

A sample of 76 older adults (27 with diabetes and 49 without diabetes) were selected to judge three information factors, metamemory related to—drug organization—stress and physical activity in relation to their perception of self-care. In order to do so, an Integration Information Theory was considered to determine systematic cognitive algebra rules underlying judgment about 24 different health self-care scenarios. Results indicate that older adults without diabetes use a summative cognitive rule to integrate relevant health information but older adults with diabetes do not. Both groups agreed that metamemory was the most relevant factor to their self-care followed by stress and physical activity. However, valuation of these factors does depend on the type of group. Implications of these results to healthcare a behavioral nursing intervention are discussed in this paper.

A sample of 65 older adults (with and without diabetes) as well as a sample of 84 healthy young people were required to take affective priming studies to compare recognition latencies of stress related word pairs against recognition latencies of positive, negative and neutral word pairs. Moreover, older adults took a stress questionnaire related to relevant disturbing events in the third age. The goal was to test any automatic emotional processing bias to these events. Results suggested that even when people with diabetes obtained low stress test scores, they showed automatic cognitive bias to process stressful events differently than older adults without diabetes and young people. This suggested that people with diabetes patients’ controlled strategies to cope with stress might not be aware of such an automatic cognitive bias. It is argued that this information processing style to stressful events makes patients prone to cognitive emotional vulnerability.

Here we investigated the effects of chronic treated with resveratrol, a polyphenol (3,4’,5-trihydroxystilbene) found in more than 70 plant species and food products such as red grapes, berries and peanuts, or N-PEP-12, a mix of peptides, on arteries in aging rats. Aging rats have shown endothelial dysfunction. Aged Sprague-Dawley rats (18 months old) were treated with resveratrol (20 mg/kg/day by gavage) or N-PEP-12 (60 mg/kg/day by gavage) for 10 weeks. 24 hours after the last administration of resveratrol or N-PEP-12, the animals were weighed and diastolic and systolic blood pressure was measured by tail-cuff plethysmography. Thoracic and abdominal aorta artery segments were obtained from resveratrol-, N-PEP-12-and vehicle-treated rats and were mounted in isometric tension for isolated vessels. We found that resveratrol and N-PEP-12 improved acetylcholine-induced relaxation in the old animals. These results suggest that chronic administration of resveratrol or N-PEP-12 may in part reduce endothelial dysfunction in the aging.

As all other forms of livestock production, fish farming has numerous environmental impacts. Water pollution is one of the most significant outcomes, since aquaculture effluents contain non-ingested food and fish dregs that affect the receiving water bodies when discharged without any treatment. Conventional pollutants (suspended solids, dissolved organic matter and nutrients), as well as pesticides, heavy metals and emerging pollutants (as antibiotics and hormones), are commonly found in these effluents. Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS, systems that integrate the treatment and the reuse of water in the process) are an invaluable alternative for preventing water pollution by diminishing both the volume and the eutrophication potential of the effluents. Based on our review of the extant literature in the field, we conclude that activated carbon-based biofilters are a favorable technology to achieve a level of water quality that is compatible with environmentally-sound aquaculture practices.

We review the evidence for predation of shelly benthic prey over 125 million years of earth history in the James Ross Basin,Antarctica(~65°S).Although poor in the Early Cretaceous lower parts of the sequence,which represent essentially deeper water facies,evidence for both potential crushers and drillers becomes more apparent in the Santonian–Campanian Santa Marta Formation,and by the Maastrichtian l.pez de Bertodano Formation there is an extensive fossil record of drill holes attributable to naticid gastropods,and some evidence of crushing by decapods crustaceans and possibly other taxa *** continues at a similar level of intensity across the K/Pg boundary into the Danian Sobral Formation,but is less well constrained in the latest Paleocene–Early *** most extensive record of predation occurs in the Middle Eocene section of the la Meseta Formation on Seymour Island which also records the highest levels of benthic diversity within the entire *** key section is providing some important new evidence to suggest that the rate of acceleration of benthic predation intensity through the late Mesozoic–Early Cenozoic in the polar regions may be similar to that seen in lower latitude ***–prey interaction was a key factor in the evolution of polar marine faunas too.
