Unfunctionalized olefins are produced on an enormous scale in the petroleum *** example,propene and butenes are produced annually on over 100-and 40-million-ton *** metal catalysis is an attractive approach for the valorization of such chemical feedstocks,which provides value-added building blocks that can be further transformed into pharmaceuticals and functional ***,unfunctionalized olefins are relatively inert molecules due to their weak interaction with the metal ***,the functionalization of unactivated olefins has been a long-standing challenge in transition metal *** use of directing groups has become a universal strategy to overcome the reactivity and selectivity issues[1].Directing groups are strongly binding functionalities that serve to coordinate to the metal center and bring the unactivated moiety closer to the metal.

In this paper,a low-pressure capacitively coupled plasma discharge sustained in an argonoxygen mixture was studied in order to evaluate its properties in terms of inactivation of Staphylococcus *** plasma parameters as electron temperature and plasma density were measured by the Langmuir probe(Ne≈1015 m^-3,Te≈1.5 eV),while the neutral atom density was in the range of 1021 m^-*** the plasma phase,oxygen radicals were taken as reference of the reactive species with antimicrobial activity,and oxygen spectral lines,over a range of plasma process parameters,were investigated by the optical emission *** plasma conditions were found,and a count reduction of 4 log in a few minutes of the bacterium proves the potentiality of an industrial grade plasma reactor as a sterilization agent.

Within the class of two-dimensional materials, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), are extremely appealing for a variety of technological applications. Moreover, the manipulation of the layered morphology at the nanoscale is a knob for further tailoring their physical and chemical properties towards target applications. Here, the combination of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and chemical vapour deposition (CVD) is presented as a general approach for the fabrication of TMD layers arranged in arbitrary geometry at the nanoscale. Indeed, following such all-chemical based approach, high-resolution electron microscopy shows the conformal growth of MoS2 to nano-trench pattern obtained in SiO2 substrates on large area. Growth is uniform not only in the flat region of the pattern but also at the hinges and throughout vertical faces, without rupture, all along the rectangular shape profile of the trenches. Furthermore, MoS2 bending dramatically affects the electron-phonon coupling as demonstrated by resonant Raman scattering. The proposed approach opens the door to the on-demand manipulation of the TMDs properties by large-scale substrate pattern design.

We report on a new derivation of the extended Feynman propagator for the harmonic oscil-lator at and beyond caustics using the explicit eigenfunction expansion for the *** is shown that the Maslov corrections beyond caustics are directly determined by the parityof the eigenfunctions. The phase correction and related effect of the propagator of a chargedparticle in constant magnetic field and in the presence of Chern-Simon backgraound gaugefield are studied.

This paper deals with the description and the representation of polynomials defined over n-simplices, The polynomials are computed by using two recurrent schemes: the Neville-Aitken one for the Lagrange interpolating operator and the De Casteljau one for the Bernstein-Bezier approximating operator. Both schemes fall intothe framework of transformations of the form where the F iare given numbers (forexample, at the initial step they coincide with the values of the function on a given lattice), and the coefficients (x) are linear polynomials valued in x and x is fixed. A general theory for such sequence of transformations can be found in [2] where it is also proved that these tranformations are completely characterized in term of a linear functional, reference functional. This functional is associated with a linear space., characteristic *** concepts of reference functionals and characteristic spaces will be used and we shall prove the existence of a characteristic space for the reference functional: associated with these operators.

Neutral lipid storage disease with myopathy(NLSDM)is a rare autosomal recessive disorder,due to an enzymatic error of lipid *** present always with skeletal muscle myopathy and variable cardiac and hepatic *** is caused by mutations in the PNPLA2 gene,which encodes the adipose triglyceride lipase(ATGL).Here we report the molecular characterization and clinical findings of two NLSDM siblings carrying the novel c.187t1G>C homozygous PNPLA2 mutation,localized in the splice site of intron *** analyses revealed that neither aberrant PNPLA2 mRNA isoforms,nor ATGL mutated protein were detectable in patient’s ***,both patients presented early onset muscle weakness,in particular of proximal upper limb *** almost 15 years,muscle damage affected also distal upper *** is a NLSDM family,displaying a severe PNPLA2 mutation in two siblings with clinical presentation characterized by an early onset,but a slowly evolution of severe myopathy.

We report here the activated carbon and cobalt hexacyanoferrate composite,which is applied as the electrode materials in symmetric supercapacitors containing a 1.0 M Na_(2)SO_(4) aqueous *** novel material combines high specific surface area and electrochemical stability of activated carbon with the redox properties of cobalt hexacyanoferrate,resulting in maximum specific capacitance of 329 F g^(-1) with large voltage working window of 2.0 *** studies indicated that cobalt hexacyanoferrate introduces important pseudocapacitive properties accounting for the overall charge-storage process,especially when I<0.5 A g^(-1).At lower gravimetric currents(e.g.,0.05 A g^(-1))and up to 1.0 V,the presence of cobalt hexacyanoferrate improves the specific energy for more than 300%.In addition,to better understanding the energy storage process we also provided a careful investigation of the electrode materials under dynamic polarization conditions using the in situ Raman spectroscopy and synchrotron light Xray diffraction *** complementary findings were obtained in these *** believe that this novel electrode material is promising for applications regarding the energy-storage process in pseudocapacitors with long lifespan properties.

The water oxidation in alkaline media is a kinetically sluggish process and it requires an active electrocatalyst for overall water splitting which is a challenging task to ***,we formulate a platform for the design of efficient NiCo_(2)S_(4)/C nanocomposite using earth abundant and nonprecious *** nanocomposites are prepared by scale up hydrothermal method using different carbon contents from acid dehydrated *** are structurally and morphologically character-ized by various analytic *** scanning electron microscopy has shown few microns flower-like morphology of nanocomposite and hexagonal crystalline phase is identified by X-ray diffraction(XRD).Further,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy supported the XRD results,and C,Ni,Co and O elements were found in the composition nanocomposite as investigated by energy-dispersive *** most active nanocomposite reaches a current density of 20 mA·cm^(−2) at potential of 285 mV vs reversible hydrogen *** nanocomposite is kinetically supported by 61 mV·dec^(−1) as small Tafel *** nanocomposite is stable and durable for 40 *** electrochemical impedance spectroscopy described a small charge transfer resistance of 188.4Ω.These findings suggest that the NiCo_(2)S_(4)/C nanocomposite could be used as a promising material for an extended range of applications particularly in energy technology.
