In this study,a virtual-point concept was introduced into fiber-laser photoacoustic tomography to improve the elevational image *** flexible fiber laser was bent into an arc shape to conform to the ultrasound wavefront,which formed an ultrasound focus at the center of the *** synthetic aperture focusing technique was utilized to reconstruct the images;as a result,the elevational resolution particularly within the out-of-focus region was considerably improved compared to the resolution of an image retrieved by multiplexing the pa time-resolved signals with sound *** all-optical fiber-laser photoacoustic tomography system with a high spatial resolution has potential for various applications,including biomedical research and preclinical/clinical diagnosis.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are attractive in membrane separation due to their special pore structure and suitable aperture *** fabrication of defect-free and robust MOF membranes with excellent durability is highly demanded but remains *** this work,we report a one-step activeγ-alumina conversion strategy for the facile and reliable fabrication of an MIL-96 *** this case,theγ-Al_(2)O_(3) sol was dip-coated and sintered on theα-Al_(2)O_(3) disc as the active aluminum source and substrate for the nucleation and growth of MOF.A continuous and well-intergrown MIL-96 membrane was generated with exceptional stability due to the strong adhesion to the *** resultant MIL-96 membrane yielded a satisfactory H_(2)/CO_(2) permselectivity and high-temperature resistance,delivering a selectivity of 12.35 with H_(2) permeance of 6.20×10^(−7) mol·m^(−2)·s^(−1)·pa^(−1) at 150℃.Moreover,the probe membrane presented remarkable durability and recyclability under harsh hydrothermal *** method paves the way for constructing highly stable and selective MOF membranes and could accelerate the development of advanced membrane separation technologies for gas purification and recycling in addressing the severe energy and environmental problems.

Based on the important role in mine safety played by parameters of the first gas outburst, we propose a method of combining historic data, theoretical analysis and experimental research for the purpose of crit- ical values of gas parameters of the first gas outburst in a coal seam of the Xieqiao Mine. According to a characteristic analysis and a summary of the rules of coal and gas outbursts in the No.8 coal seam of a Hua- inan mine, we have investigated their effect on coal and gas outbursts in terms such as ground stress, gas, and coal structure. We have selected gas parameters and determined the critical values of each of the fol- lowing indices： gas content as 7.7 m^3/t, tectonic coal as 0.8 m thick, the absolute gas emission as 2 m3/min, the rate of change as 0.7 m3/min, the gas desorption index of a drilling chip KI as 0.26 mL/（g min^1/2） and the values of desorption indexes Ah2 as 200 pa. From a verification of the production, the results indicate that application of each index and their critical values significantly improve the level of safety in the pro- duction process, relieve the burden upon the mine, save much labor and bring clear economic benefits.

In this study,a laser-assisted pulsed plasma thruster(LA-PPT)with a novel configuration is proposed as an electric propulsion thruster which separates laser ablation and electromagnetic *** to the unique structure of the thruster,metals can also be used as propellants,and a higher specific impulse is *** ablation quality,morphology,and plume distribution of various metals(aluminium alloy,red copper,and carbon steel)with different laser energies were studied *** ablation morphology and plume distribution of red copper were more uniform,as compared to those of other metals,and the ablation quality was higher,indicating its greater suitability for *** plume generated by nanosecond laser ablation of aluminium alloy expanded faster,which indicated that the response time of the thruster with aluminium alloy as the propellant was *** addition,when the background pressure was 0.005 pa,an obvious plume splitting phenomenon was observed in the ablation plume of the pulsed laser irradiating aluminium alloy,which may significantly reduce the utilisation rate of the propellant.

Grain-size Characteristics and Climate Variability in TMS5e Sequence of Tumen Section in Southern Tengger Desert,Northwestern China

The TMS5e sequence from the Tumen section, at the southern edge of Tengger Desert in the northwestern China, is synchronous with Marine Isotope Stage 5e （MIS5e）. It consists of 16 layers of aeolian dune sands, 11 layers of lacustrine loess-like facies, and 5 layers of lacustrine facies. The results of grain-size analysis shows that the pa- laeo-mobile dune sands, palaeo-fixed to semi-fixed dune sands and loess-like sandy loams are mainly composed of sands, ranging from 70% to 96%; their silt contents ranged from 4% to 20%, and their clay contents ranged from 1% to 5%; the climate under which the aeolian dune sands were deposited is similar to that under which modern mobile dune sands form, which is caused by the dominance of the cold, dry East Asian winter monsoon. In contrast, the lacustrine loess-like facies and lacustrine facies had a lower sand contents than those of the three aeolian dune sands, but have higher silt and clay contents, most of their sand content ranged from 30% to 60%, their silt contents ranged from 35% to 55%, and their clay contents ranged from 6% to 20%. The lacustrine loess-like facies and lacustrine facies formed under the influence of the warm, humid East Asian summer monsoon based on their similarity with modern sediments. The grain-size indicator Mz （mean grain diameter） and the SC/D value in the TMS5e sequence indicate climatic insta- bility at the southern edge of the Tengger Desert during MIS5e, with at least 14 fluctuations between a warm, humid climate and a cold, dry climate, divided into five stages： TMS5e5 （139 kyr to 129.3 kyr B.P.）, TMS5e4 （129.3 kyr to 124 kyr B.P.）, TMS5e3 （124 kyr to 119.5 kyr B.P.）, TMS5e2 （119.5 kyr to 116.5 kyr B.P.）, and TMS5el （116.5 kyr to 113.7 kyr B.P.）. These correspond roughly to MIS5e5, MIS5e4, MIS5e3, MIS5e2, and MIS5el, respectively, in the GRIP ice core data.

We measured the intrinsic electrophoretic drag coefficient of a single charged particle by optically trapping the particle and applying an AC electric field,and found it to be markedly different from that of the Stokes *** drag coefficient,along with the measured electrical force,yield a mobility-zeta potential relation that agrees with the *** using the measured mobility as input,numerical calculations based on the Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations,coupled to the Navier-Stokes equation,reveal an intriguing microscopic electroosmotic flow near the particle surface,with a well-defined transition between an inner flow field and an outer flow field in the vicinity of electric double layer’s outer *** distinctive interface delineates the surface that gives the correct drag coefficient and the effective electric *** consistency between experiments and theoretical predictions provides new insights into the classic electrophoresis problem,and can shed light on new applications of electrophoresis to investigate biological nanoparticles.

OBJECTIVE: To present and analyze treatmentsand clinical outcomes of Chinese patients with influenza-like ***: We conducted a multi-site observational study from December 2009 to April 2010. patients with influenza-like illness from 45 hospitals were enrolled. patients received Chinese herbal medicine(CHM), conventional treatments, or CHM plus conventional treatments(combination treatment) according to the guidelines for influenza A/H1 N1 2009 in China. The primary outcomes were the time to alleviation of symptoms and the incidence of complications. The secondary outcomes were the time until becoming afebrile, incidence of severe illness, testing negative on an influenza A viral test, and total medical ***: In total, 5967 patients were enrolled. The percentages of patients prescribed CHM alone, conventional treatment, and combination treatment were 27.8%, 5.1%, and 67.7%, respectively. There were no significant differences in the time to alleviation of symptoms, incidence of complications,time to becoming afebrile, or rate of severe illness among the CHM, conventional, and combination treatment groups. The rates of testing negative on the influenza virus A rapid test and H1 N1 virus test were 90.3% and 76.3%, respectively. However,significant differences were found in the total medical fees among the three groups: CHM treatments were more economical than the other two ***: The efficacy of CHM for influenza-like illness was not different from that of conventional treatments, but it was more economical.
