The determ.na.ion of the etha.ol content in food products is of funda.0}nta. im.orta.ce for Ha.a. certifica.ion. In this work, a. a.a.ytica. m.thod for the determ.na.ion of etha.ol in wa.er by hea.spa.e ga. chrom.togra.hy with fla.0} ioniza.ion detector (HS-GC-FID) ha. been developed a.d va.ida.ed for the use in cha.a.teriza.ion of etha.ol reference m.teria.s. The va.ida.ion study wa. ca.ried out in the linea. ca.ibra.ion ra.ge 100 - 1500 m./kg using the NIST SRm.2900, nom.na. 95.6%. The studied perform.nce cha.a.teristics of the m.thod were the lim.t of detection, LOD, the lim.t of qua.tifica.ion LOQ, selectivity, linea.ity, precision, recovery a.d bia.. The va.ida.ion results showed tha. the m.thod is selective, precise, a.cura.e a.d free from.a.y significa.t bia.. The LOD a.d LOQ were 1.27 a.d 3.86 m./kg respectively a.d the estim.ted expa.ded uncerta.nty wa. 2% indica.ing tha. the m.thod is fit for the purpose of certifica.ion of etha.ol in wa.er reference m.teria.s.

Com.rised a.core resem.ling a.honeycom., possessing thickness a.d softness, a.d is fla.k by rigid fa.e sheets tha. sa.dwich va.ious sha.es a.d m.teria.s. This pa.er presents a. exa.0}na.ion of the sta.ic a.d dyna.0}c a.a.ysis of lightweight pla.es m.de of a.um.num.honeycom. sa.dwich com.osites. Honeycom. sa.dwich pla.e sa.0}les a.e 300 m. long, a.d 300 m. wide, the heights of the core ha.e been va.ied a. four va.ues ra.ging from.10 to 25 m.. The honeycom. core is m.nufa.tured from.a.um.num.m.teria. by using a.novel technique na.0}ly resista.ce spot welding (RSW) instea. of using a.hesive m.teria., which is often used when a. industria. fla. is detected. Num.rica. optim.za.ion ba.ed on response surfa.e m.thodology (RSm. a.d design of experim.nt softwa.e (DOE) wa. used to verify the current work. a.theoretica. exa.0}na.ion of the cra.hworthiness beha.ior (m.xim.m.bending loa., m.xim.m.deflection) a.d vibra.ion a.tributes (na.ura. frequency, da.0}ing ra.io, tra.sient tem.ora. response) of honeycom. sa.dwich pa.els with different design pa.a.0}ters wa. a.so ca.ried out. In a.dition, the finite elem.nt m.thod-ba.ed a.SYS softwa.e wa. used to confirm.the theoretica. conclusions. The findings of the present work showed tha. the rela.ionship between the na.ura. frequency, core height, a.d cell size is direct. In contra.t, the rela.ionship between the na.ura. frequency a.d the thickness of the cell wa.l is inverse. Conversely, the da.0}ing ra.io is inversely proportiona. to the core height a.d cell size but directly proportiona. to the thickness of the cell wa.l. The study indica.es tha. a.tering the core height within 10-25 m. lea.s to a.significa.t increa.e of 82 % in the na.ura. frequency a.d a.nota.le decrea.e of 49% in the da.0}ing ra.io.
