AIM:To investigate possible associations of anti-nuclear envelope antibody(ANEA)with disease severity and survival in Greek primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC)***:Serum samples were collected at diagnosis from 147 PBC patients(85%female),who were followed-up for a median 89.5 mo(range 1-240).ANEA were detected with indirect immunofluorescence on 1% formaldehyde fixed Hep2 cells,and anti-gp210 antibodies were detected using an enzyme linked immunosorbent *** were correlated with clinical data,histology,and ***:ANEA were detected in 69/147(46.9%) patients and 31/147(21%)were also anti-gp210 *** ANEA positive patients were at a more advanced histological stage(Ⅰ-Ⅱ/Ⅲ-Ⅳ56.5%/43.5% vs 74.4%/25.6%,P=0.005)compared to the ANEA negative *** had a higher antimitochondrial antibodies(AMA)titer(≤1:160/>1:160 50.7%/49.3%vs 71.8%/28.2%,P=0.001)and a lower survival time(91.7 ±50.7 mo vs 101.8±55 mo,P=0.043).Moreover,they had more advanced fibrosis,portal inflammation,interface hepatitis,and proliferation of bile ductules(P =0.008,P=0.008,P=0.019,and P=0.027,respectively).They also died more frequently of hepatic failure and/or hepatocellular carcinoma(P=0.016).ANEA positive,anti-gp210 positive patients had a difference in stage(Ⅰ-Ⅱ/Ⅲ-Ⅳ54.8%/45.2%vs 74.4%/25.6%,P= 0.006),AMA titer(≤1:160/>1:160 51.6%/48.4%vs 71.8%/28.2%,P=0.009),survival(91.1±52.9 mo vs 101.8±55 mo,P=0.009),and Mayo risk score(5.5 ±1.9 vs 5.04±1.3,P=0.04)compared to the ANEA negative *** positive,anti-gp210 negative patients had a difference in AMA titer(≤1:160/>1:160 50%/50%vs 71.8%/28.2%,P=0.002),stage(Ⅰ-Ⅱ/Ⅲ -Ⅳ57.9%/42.1%vs 74.4%/25.6%,P=0.033),fibrosis(P=0.009),portal inflammation(P=0.018),interface hepatitis(P=0.032),and proliferation of bile ductules(P=0.031).Anti-gp210 positive patients had a worse Mayo risk score(5.5±1.9 vs 4.9±1.7,P=0.038)than the anti-gp210 negative ***:The presence of ANEA and anti-gp210 identifies a subgroup of PBC pati

The technique of modeling operating temperature variations of shell-and-tube heat exchanger 10-E-01 of kerosene-crude oil streams of Port Harcourt refinery crude distillation unit is presented in this research. Appropriate first-order model equations were developed applying principles of energy balance. The differential equations developed for the process streams which exchanged heat was evaluated numerically to predict the temperature variations as a function of time. The relevant parameters associated with typical heat exchanger works were calculated using plant data of 10-E-02. The model strives to predict the final kerosene temperature from 488 to 353.6 K. While the crude oil streams temperature rose from 313 to 353.6 K. The developed model enables the operator to predict the final temperature at the kerosene hydro-treating unit and thereby prevent regular emergency shutdowns due to excessive temperature rise.

The purpose of this paper is to complement the results by Lanzani and Stein(2017) by showing the dense definability of the Cauchy-Leray transform for the domains that give the counter-examples of Lanzani and Stein(2017), where L^p-boundedness is shown to fail when either the "near" C^2 boundary regularity, or the strong C-linear convexity assumption is dropped.

Density function theory calculations of frequency-dependent optical rotations [α]ω for three rigid chiral molecules are reported. Calculations have been carried out at the sodium D line frequency, using the ADZP basis set and a wide variety of functionals. Gauge-invariant atomic orbitals are used to guarantee origin-independent values of [ω]D. In addition, study of geometry dependence of [ω]D is reported. Using the geometries optimized at the B3LYP/ADZP level, the mean absolute deviation of B3LYP/ADZP and experimental laiD values yields 60.1°/（dm g/cm^3）. According to our knowledge, this value has not been achieved until now with any other model.

Marine propellers are essential components of many watercrafts,and their performance depends on various factors such as geometry,material,speed,and pitch ***,in this study,we demonstrate the main elements and working principle of a marine *** also explain the main principle of lift and drag force and its effects on propeller's design and ***,we demonstrated how a propeller can be tested in realistic *** studying previous designs and patents of marine propeller test platforms,some limitations have been found and *** address these limitations,the main objective of this study has been set to develop a propeller test platform that can measure the thrust and torque of different propellers with high accuracy and *** setting the suitable requirements and designing the propeller test platform,we propose a new design of a marine propeller test platform that uses a swing arm mechanism to fix the propeller under water and sense its thrust force while keeping the main motor and the frame *** design allows us to get high sensitivity measurements continuously and precisely without being affected by the motor and frame *** the mentioned design,a well-balanced mechanism has been achieved with high sensitivity thrust measuring *** platform could sense small forces of about 0.001 kgf,which is essential for evaluating the performance of low-thrust ***,we achieved a power train that can deliver up to 22 k W of power to the propeller with up to 1500 rpm of rotational speed suitable for most mid-sized propellers,and that with torque consumption up to 70 N·m which allows us to test a wide range of propellers with different power and speed *** to the previously used platform,this new design can be up to 120 times faster than old test platforms when it comes to changing *** achieved propeller test platform can hold up to 2500 N of thrust force an

Innovative building materials are being used in building envelopes for reducing their heating and cooling *** paper aims to assess the thermal impact of using lightweight concrete in Lebanese building constructions by pouring an 8 cm thickness of lightweight concrete on the roof and the slab and replacing traditional hollow concrete block by lightweight concrete *** properties of two different samples were experimentally determined:the first one(558 kg/m^(3))used for the roof and the slab and the second one(1074 kg/m^(3))used for the *** numerical simulations were carried out for a Lebanese traditional detached house using the characteristics of these two *** thermally improved Light Weight Concrete building(LWC)was compared to a traditional Lebanese house base case(BC)using a dynamic building energy simulation tool in the four different Lebanese climate zones:coastal,mid-mountain,mountain,and inland *** results highlight the effectiveness of integrating LWC to building envelopes by reducing energy consumption and improving thermal comfort in both winter and summer climate conditions and in the different Lebanese climatic *** paper demonstrates that the use of LWC in the vertical walls replacing the traditional hollow blocks can reduce the heating needs by up to 9%and by up to 13%for cooling *** the other hand,adding a LWC roof screed has a very high impact on cooling and heating energy consumption,which can reach up to 74%in cooling energy savings and up to 24%in heating energy savings.

BACKGROUND As Hepatitis C virus infection(HCV+)rates in kidney donors and transplant recipients rise,direct-acting antivirals(DAA)may affect *** To analyze the effects of HCV+in donors,recipients,or both,on deceased-donor(DD)kidney transplantation(KT)outcomes,and the impact of DAAs on those *** The Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network data of adult first solitary DD-KT recipients 1994-2019 were allocated into four groups by donor and recipient HCV+*** performed patient survival(PS)and death-censored graft survival(DCGS)pairwise comparisons after propensity score matching to assess the effects of HCV+in donors and/or recipients,stratifying our study by DAA era to evaluate potential effect *** Pre-DAA,for HCV+recipients,receiving an HCV+kidney was associated with 1.28-fold higher mortality(HR 1.151.281.42)and 1.22-fold higher death-censored graft failure(HR 1.***.221.39)compared to receiving an HCV-kidney and the absolute risk difference was 3.3%(95%CI:1.8%-4.7%)for PS and 3.1%(95%CI:1.2%-5%)for DCGS at 3 *** HCV dual-infection(donor plus recipient)group had worse PS(0.56-fold)and DCGS(0.71-fold)than the *** HCV+derived worse post-transplant outcomes than recipient HCV+(PS 0.36-fold,DCGS 0.34-fold).In the DAA era,the risk associated with HCV+in donors and/or recipients was no longer statistically significant,except for impaired PS in the dual-infected vs dual-uninfected(0.43-fold).CONCLUSION Prior to DAA introduction,donor HCV+negatively influenced kidney transplant outcomes in all recipients,while recipient infection only relatively impaired outcomes for uninfected *** adverse effects disappeared with the introduction of DAA.

Four extreme ultraviolet(EUV)solar radiation proxies(Magnesium II core-to-wing ratio(MgII),Lymanαflux(Fα),10.7-cm solar radio flux(F10.7),and sunspot number(Rz))were analyzed during the last four consecutive solar activity minima to investigate how they differ during minimum periods and how well they represent solar EUV *** variability within each minimum and between minima was compared by considering monthly means.A comparison was also made of their role in filtering the effect of solar activity from the critical frequency of the ionospheric F2 layer,foF2,which at mid to low latitudes depends mainly on EUV solar *** last two solar cycles showed unusually low EUV radiation levels according to the four *** the connection between the EUV“true”variation and that of solar proxies,according to the foF2 filtering analysis,MgII and Fαbehaved in a more stable and suitable way,whereas Rz and F10.7 could be overestimating EUV levels during the last two minima,implying they would both underestimate the inter-minima difference of EUV when compared with the first two minima.
