Introduction: Ventricular septal defect (VSD) is the most common congenital heart disease of all congenital heart defects. The aim of this study was to investigate the echographic, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects of ventricular septal defects (VSD) in the general cardiology department of the Hôpital National Ignace Deen. Methods: A retrospective data collection was carried out from January 2018 to December 2023 including 85 cases of isolated IVC was performed. The variables studied were epidemiological, clinical, paraclinical, therapeutic and evolutionary. Results: Of the 320 patients seen during the study period for congenital heart disease, 85 (26.556%) were isolated IVCs. Age at diagnosis ranged from 3 months to 16 years, with an average age of 3.59 years. The most represented ethnic group was the Fulani (50.58%). The 8.24% came from consanguineous marriage versus 22.35%. 91.76% of children had a history of bronchitis. The most common clinical signs found were systolic murmur (90.58%), growth retardation (51.76%). Only 4 cases (4.70%) had a malformation associated with IVC represented by DiGeorges disease (2.35%) and trisomy 21 (2.35%). Nearly half the patients had type IIb VIC (44.71%). The other half were represented by type 1 (18.82%), type IIa (20%), type III (10.59%) and type IV (5.88%). According to site more than two-thirds of VICs (71.64%) were perimembranous in location, followed by infundibular (16.47%) and muscular (11.76%) VICs. In our study 55.29% presented an indication for both surgical intervention and medical treatment, while 16.47% required only medical treatment. In contrast, 28.23% were placed under exclusive surveillance. Of the 47 patients for whom surgery was indicated, 29 (61.17%) underwent surgical repair, while 18 (38.83%) were awaiting confirmation for surgery. The study of the characteristic graph of an atom in all its aspects, allows to describe the concepts of atomistic. From this graph, some concepts of the recomposition of the electronic cloud have been described by specific graphs derived from it. The results are very conclusive. This graph illustrates each of the concepts of atomistics such as blocks, orders, periods and electronic layers. These concepts have been represented by lines, segments and even points. This has made it possible to draw up tables with orders, periods and even their correlations. Thus, this work promotes a better understanding of theoretical concepts by transposing the “abstract” aspect to a more “concrete” aspect of these concepts. This eventually facilitates the learning of this essential part of chemistry at its core. These results indicate that the research hypothesis has been verified.

近几十年来,环境问题成为人类科技发展中最为担心的问题之一。以信息通信技术(ICT)为例,环境问题必将影响未来的网络技术、架构和使用惯例。我们需要一些新的无线网络技术和方法来减少碳的排放,进而实现人们常说的绿色网络。异构蜂窝网络的广泛应用和部署既带来了挑战也带来了机遇。机遇包括,虽然异构蜂窝网络对有限的频率资源进行复用提高了频谱效率,但它也会在蜂窝内带来严重的小区间干扰。另外,蜂窝内的宏小区和普通小区之间也会有更多的合作机会。为实现未来的绿色通信,在当前以小区部署密集来提升用户通话质量的场景下,能量效率(EE)将成为衡量通信技术性能的非常重要的一项指标。本文拟利用当前异构网络的潜在合作多样性来解决网络中的干扰问题并提高网络的能量效率。为分析普通小区和宏小区相互之间复杂混乱的交互行为,本文重点对采用大规模多输入多输出(MIMO)的2层异构网络(HetNets)中的宏单元及其能源效率进行研究,并开发出了一种检验异构网络能量效率的分析方法。本文提出了一种新颖的基于议价合作博弈的框架来分析网络中的干扰和能量效率。其中,一种新的可调节的效用函数应用于BCG中来共同解决异构网中能量有效性的问题。通过使用提出的BCG框架,本文推导出了封闭式的能源协调方案,并提出了以干扰抑制和能量节省为目标的共同干扰感的知能量协调机制此外,简化的算法可以减少目前大量部署的小区中的信令开销。最后,仿真结果证明了本文提出的方案的有效性,并表明大规模输入输出技术的使用能够显著改善网络的能量效率。

Physicochemical Characterisation for Potential Uses as Industrial Mineral of Bauxite from Débélé, Guinea

Assessing the potential uses as industrial mineral, bauxite from Débélé, Guinea, has been characterised by chemical and mineralogical analyses, the determination of the amorphous content, the rate of portlandite consumption in an aqueous solution, the strength activity index, and the thermal behaviour up to 1200°C. It was evidenced that the raw sample is gibbsite-rich type bauxite with about 45.06 wt% of alumina, 23.80 wt% of iron oxide, and 1.74 wt% of silica. It meets the chemical composition required for bauxites used for refractory cement. During heating, the raw bauxite undergoes high densification with low linear shrinkage, motivating a potential use in dense ceramic compositions with high thermal stability. Also, the heating at only 600°C gives a significant pozzolanic activity in combination with Portland cement. The correlation between the pozzolanicity, the amorphous phase content, and the specific surface area indicated that the raw and the calcined materials present an interesting reactivity for using them in alternative cement formulations.

Forests are exposed to changing climatic conditions reflected by increasing drought and heat waves that increase the risk of wildfire ignition and *** variables such as rain and wind as well as vegetation structure,land configuration and forest management practices are all factors that determine the burning potential of *** assessment of emissions released by vegetation combustion is essential for determining greenhouse gases and air *** estimation of wildfire-related emissions depends on factors such as the type and fraction of fuel(i.e.,live biomass,ground litter,dead wood)consumed by the fire in a given area,termed the burning *** approaches estimate live burning efficiency from optical remote sensing *** study used a data-driven method to estimate live burning efficiency in a Mediterranean *** severity estimations from Lands at imagery(dNBR),which relate to fuel consumption,and quantitative field data from three national forest inventory data were combined to establish the relationship between burning severity and live burning *** proxies explored these relationships based on dNBR interval classes,as well as regres sion *** correlation results between live burning efficiency and dNBR for conifers(R=0.63)and broad-leaved vegetation(R=0.95)indicated ways for improving emissions *** estimations by severity class(low,moderate-low,moderate-high,and high)are provided for conifers(0.44-0.81)and broad-leaves(0.64-0.86),and regression models for the live fraction of the tree canopy susceptible to burning(7 branches,and leaves).The live burning efficiency values by severity class were higher than previous studies.

Therapeutic Education of Heart Failure: Prospective Study in the Cardiology Department of the Dalal Jamm National Hospital Center in Dakar

Context: Heart failure (HF) is a common pathology requiring many types of treatments, including therapeutic education, which has demonstrated a major benefit in terms of reducing re-hospitalization and mortality from HF or all other causes. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the contribution of therapeutic education (TPE) in patients with heart failure. Methodology: This was a single-centre, interventional, non-randomized, before-and-after type study. It focused on hospitalized heart failure patients aged 18 and over. We evaluated the effect of TPE on therapeutic compliance, knowledge, practical attitudes, patient perceptions and quality of life. Results: Our study included 41 patients prior to therapeutic education: 17 men (41%) and 24 women (59%). The mean age was 54.7 ± 16.2 years. After the TPE sessions we evaluated 32 patients: The patients with good compliance increased from 75% to 90.63%, and patients with a low level of compliance (90.6%) decreased to 34.4%. An increase in the number of patients who had an attitude adapted to not exceeding the recommended amount of salt (6 before TPE and 22 after TPE), as well as in the number of patients who had an attitude adapted to physical activity (12 before TPE and 16 after TPE). There was also an increase in the number of patients who were confident about the outcome of their disease (12 before TPE and 16 after TPE), and a decrease in those who were hopeless (8 before TPE and 5 after TPE), an improvement in the quality of life score (45.03 before TPE and 15.78 after TPE). Conclusion: This study shows the beneficial effect of therapeutic education in patients hospitalized for heart failure in improving their level of knowledge, compliance with treatment, lifestyle habits and quality of life.

The paper talks about the elaboration of geopolymer with two types of kaolinite clays containing muscovite. The kaolinite materials were first calcined at different temperatures, and mixed with an activator solution, called liquid precursor, at a different solid/liquid mass ratio depending on their normal consistency to produce geopolymer binders. Results show that the geopolymer products obtained from the different clays have good physichomechanical properties: their open porosity and their water absorption rate decrease while their compressive strength and their apparent density increase with the increase in calcination temperature of the clays. The density of GABD binders varies between 2.92 and 2.47 g/cm3 and that of GARD binders between 1.86 and 2.16 g/cm3. Specimens in the GABD series have the best mechanical performance, ranging from 14.43 to 31.37 MPa, while those in the GARD series oscillate between 6.18 and 11.56 MPa. These properties make kaolinite materials from this region suitable for use as construction materials for adequate waterproof structures.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is the most recognised means of containing the pandemic. Vaccines are not without side effects, particularly vascular thrombosis. But before blaming the vaccines, a thorough assessment of thrombotic risk factors is necessary. We report a case of arterial and venous thrombosis after vaccination with AstraZeneca revealing an exaggeration of factor VIII in a 37-year-old female patient. The angioscanner showed a venous thrombosis of the right subclavian, a pulmonary embolism and the presence of a thrombus in the aorta. The biology was in favour of a high level of factor VIII. The patient was treated with an antivitamin K, and the clinical evolution was favourable.
