The light curve analyses and orbital period variations for two contact binary stars,Ls Del and V997 Cyg,are presented in this work which was conducted in the frame of the Binary systems of south and North project Ground-based photometric observations were performed at two observatories in *** used the Transiting Exoplanet survey satellite(TEss)data for extracting times of minima and light curve analysis of the targe *** O-C diagram for both systems displays a parabolic *** Del and V997 Cyg’s orbital periods are increasing at rates of dP/dt=7.20×10^(-08)days yr^(-1)and dP/dt=2.54×10^(-08)days yr^(-1),respectively Therefore,it can be concluded that mass is being transferred from the less massive star to the more massive component with a rate of dM/dt=-1.96×10^(-7)M_(⊙)yr^(-1)for the Ls Del system,and dM/dt=-3.83×10^(-7)M_(⊙)yr-1for V997 *** parameters of a third possible object in the system are also *** PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs Python code was used to analyze the light *** light curve solutions needed a cold starspot due to the asymmetry in the Ls Del system’s light curve *** mass ratio fill-out factor,and star temperature all indicate that both systems are contact binary types in this *** methods were applied to estimate the absolute parameters of the systems:one method relied on the parallax of Gaia DR3,and the other used a P-M *** positions of the systems are also depicted on the M-L,M-R q-L_(ratio),and logM_(tot)-logJ_(0)*** recommend that further observations and investigations be done on the existence of a fourth body in this system.

While Egypt’s canola production per unit area has recently grown,productivity remains low,necessitating increased *** are water-absorbent polymer compounds that can optimize irrigation schedules by increasing the soil’s ability to retain ***,twoﬁeld experiments were conducted to examine hydrogel application to sandy soil on canola growth,biochemical aspects,yield,yield traits,and nutritional quality of yielded seeds grown under water deﬁcit stress *** experiments were conducted by arranging a split-plot layout in a randomized complete block design(RCBD)with three times replications of each *** water stress at 75%or 50%of crop evapotranspiration(ETc)lowered chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,caro-tenoids,and total pigments content,indole-3-acetic acid,plant development,seed yield,and oil and total carbo-hydrates of seed yield,hydrogel treatment enhanced all of the traits mentioned ***,hydrogel enhanced to gather compatible solutes(proline,amino acids,total soluble sugars),phenolics content in leaves,seed protein,and crop water productivity,which increased while the plants were under water *** results revealed that the full irrigation(100%ETc)along with hydrogel compared to water-stressed(50%ETc)led to enhanced seed yield(kg ha^(-1)),Oil(%),and Total carbohydrates(%)of rapeseed by 57.1%,11.1%and 15.7%,***,under water-stressed plots with hydrogel exhibited enhancement by 10.0%,3.2%and 5.1%in seed yield(kg ha^(-1)),oil(%),and total carbohydrates(%)of rapeseed by 57.1%,11.1%and 15.7%,respec-tively compared to *** a result,the use of hydrogel polymer will be a viable and practical solution for increasing agricultural output under water deﬁcit stress situations.

Deep learning has received a growing interest in recent years for detecting different types of pavement distresses and automating pavement condition assessment.A proper choice of deep learning models is key for successful pavement assessment *** this study,we first present a comprehensive experimental comparison of state-of-the-art image classification models to evaluate their performances on 11 pavement objects *** experiments are conducted in different dimensions of comparison,including deep classifier architecture,effects of network depth,and computational *** convolutional neural network(CNN)classifiers widely used in transportation applications,including VGG16,VGG19,ResNet50,DenseNet121,and a generic CNN(as the control model),are tested with a comprehensive pixel-level annotated dataset for 11 different distress and non-distress classes(UCF-PAVE 2017).In addition,we investigate a simple yet effective approach of encoding contextual information with multi-scale input tiles to classify highly random pavement objects in size,shape,intensity,texture,and *** comparison results show that the multi-scale approach significantly improves the classification accuracy for all compared deep classifiers at a negligible extra computational ***,we provide recommendations of how to improve the classification performance of deep CNNs for automated pavement condition assessment based on the comparison results.

Cumulative inhalation of respirable coal mine dust(RCMD)can lead to severe lung diseases,including coal worker's pneu-moconiosis(CWP),silicosis,mixed dust pneumoconiosis,dust-related diffuse fibrosis(DDF),and progressive massive fibrosis(PMF).statistics from the number of reported cases showed a significant decrease in the progression of respiratory diseases in the ***,an unexpected increase in the number of CWP cases was reported in the late *** date,there has been no comprehensive systematic review to assess all contributing factors to the resurgence of CWP *** study aims to investigate the effects of various mining parameters on the prevalence of CWP in coal mines.A systematic review using the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis(PRIsMA)method was conducted to investigate the health effects of RCMD exposure and identify the factors that may contribute to the recent resurgence of CWP *** systematic review yielded a total of 401 papers,which were added to the *** total number of 148 and 208 papers were excluded from the database in the process of screening and eligibility,***,18 papers were considered for data selection and full-text *** review revealed that factors including geographic location,mine size,mining operation type,coal-seam thickness,coal rank,changes in mining practices,technology advancement,and engi-neering dust control practices are contributing to the recent resurgence of CWP among coal ***,the evidence for root causes is limited owing to the methodological constraints of the studies;therefore,further detailed studies are needed.

selective removal of particles and nutrients by water erosion is a key factor in soil erosion *** agricultural soils are located on gentle slopes where fertility is high;however,until now,the main attention on sediment transport mechanisms was paid to high-slope gradients,where soil erosion is intense,but soils are less *** the importance of sediment size distribution(ssD) and transport mechanisms under unsteady-state conditions,few studies have been done on this *** sediment concentrations in the early stages of the runoff indicate the need to deal with unsteady-state *** address this issue,sheet erosion experiments were done using a 0.2 m by 1 m tilting flume under controlled laboratory *** inflow rates(75,100,125,150,175,and 200 mL/s) were applied on two contrasting soils,including an adjacent agricultural soil and a not cultivated soil(namely Cropland soil and Control soil,respectively) at two low slope gradients(1.5% and 2%).No rill formation was observed during the *** sediment-laden runoff was sampled during unsteady-state flow to determine the ssDs and sediment transport mechanisms of eroded particles for unsteadystate *** results indicated different trends in the selective removal of sediment particles depending on hydraulic conditions and soil aggregate *** contribution of suspension-saltation(ss)to the total sediment load for the Cropland and Control soils varied from 22% to 68% and from 35% to 59%,respectively,while up to 78% and 65% of soil particles were transported by bed load(BL),***,ss and BL indicated a reverse trend with stream *** Cropland soil showed a single peak in the ssD at low stream powers because of the selective removal of fine particles(0.042 mm),whereas the ssD was shifted to a bimodal distribution at higher stream powers with the selective depletion of both fine(≤0.084 mm) and coarse(1.5 mm) *** Control soil experienced a

This study was conducted in Juniperus excels a stands on the southern slopes of Iran’s Alborz Mountains,to determine the effects of fire and seasonal variations on soil physicochemical properties and enzyme activities.A total of 64 composite soil s amples were randomly collected in the spring and fall from two burned and unburned sites at depths of 0-10 and 10-20 *** results of a two-way ANOVA analysis indicate that fire increased the organic carbon(OC),total nitrogen(TN),and available phosphorus(P_(ava)) contents of the soil by 16%,59%,and 53%,***,when burned sites were compared to unburned sites,the activities of acid phosphatase(ACP) and urease enzymes increased by 73% and 12%,***,fire did not affect soil texture,bulk density(BD),pH,electric conductivity(EC),exchangeable potassium(Kexc),or the activities of alkaline phosphatase(ALP) and *** to two-way ANOVA results,OC,TN,P_(ava),K_(exc),and EC values were significantly higher in the fall,whereas pH and ALP values were significantly higher in the ***,phosphorous and dehydrogenase activity were significantly different in selected soil factors at 0-10 and10-20 cm *** interaction of fire,season,and soil depth were significant for phosphorous and ***,the activity of ALP correlated well with pH(r=0.68),P(r=-0.74),OC(r=-0.53),and TN(r=-0.37),whereas the activity of ACP correlated significantly with OC(r=0.64) and TN(r=0.71).Two years after the fire,soil properties in *** a stands had either improved or remained unaffected,returning to pre-fire ***,soil chemical properties varied significantly across sampling seasons,which should be considered when comparing and interpreting soil data in future research.

Crude oil and source rock samples from one of the main oilfields of the Abadan Plain, Zagros, Iran were analyzed geochemically. Rock-Eval pyrolysis was conducted on Kazhdumi(Upper Cretaceous) and Gadvan(Lower Cretaceous) formations, which are the probable source rocks for the oil in the region. The results indicated that the Kazhdumi Formation can be classified as a fair-to-excellent source rock, while the Gadvan Formation can be identified as having poor-to-good source rock in the basin. Based on the cross-plots of HI versus OI and s2 versus TOC, types Ⅱ and Ⅲ kerogen were identified from studied source samples in the area. Determination of the main fraction percentages of the sarvak and Fahliyan crude oils represented that the oils from the sarvak reservoir are paraffinic-naphthenic and aromaticintermediate, whilst that from the Fahliyan reservoir is paraffinic and paraffinic-naphthenic. Biomarker ratios of the saturated fractions of oil from both reservoirs indicate that the source rocks formed in reducing marine environments with carbonate-shale lithology. Furthermore, biomarker data helped to distinguish the degree of biodegradation in the studied oils. According to geochemical analysis, oil samples from the Fahliyan reservoir were generated at a higher thermal maturity than the sarvak reservoir samples.

Marine macroalgal sulfated fucose-containing polysaccharides,like fucoidan,have drawn significant attention due to their biotechnological potentials,such as anti-cancer,antioxidant,and anti-cholinesterase *** fucoidan derived from brown macroalgae sargassum angustifolium species(FsA)was investigated for its cytotoxic effects and alterations in cell proliferation,and cell cycle-related gene expression in the present study occurred on NB4 cell *** results showed that FsA would induce p53,p21,pro-apoptotic genes and increase expression of the p15 gene as a cell arrest ***,FsA inhibited the anti-apoptotic effect of the Bcl-2 gene and decreased dnmt-1 gene *** significantly exhibited potent 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)radical scavenging activity(pshowed moderate anti-acetylcholinesterase activity with an IC_(50) value of 1.20μg/*** results indicated the potential of FsA for the development of therapeutic or preventive agents of cancer and Alzheimer’s disease mainly through cytotoxic effect and AChE(acetylcholinesterase)inhibition as well as additional antioxidant capacities.

Effects of storage temperature, packaging material, elevated COsub>2sub> and reduced Osub>2sub> contents in the package headspace, and their interaction effects on the total content of anthocyanins and degradation of phenolic compounds during long storage of “Malase Torsh saveh” pomegranate were studied. The study findings showed that only storage temperature and its duration had significant effects on the degradation of phenolic compounds. The content of anthocyanins was affected by the single effect of storage time and its 3-way interaction effect with the storage temperature and the fruit’s surrounding gas composition. Higher contents of both total anthocyanins and browning pigments were recorded at 2°C storage temperature. The Browning Index (BI) of the pomegranate extracts showed to change quadratically with the variations in the total anthocyanins content but linearly with the variations in the content of browning compounds. Thermal dipping treatment and its interaction with the storage time also had significant effect on the BI values of the extracts obtained from modified atmosphere packaged pomegranates stored at 6 °C.
