Nanoscopy is a mature technology used routinely in life science to obtain images well below the optical diffraction *** the use of nanoscopy in histopathology assessment is very limited mostly due to the low throughput of traditional nanoscopic *** far,Chip-nanoscopy,nanoscopy in which sample illumination is performed by an integrated photonic chip instead of bulk optics,has been shown to provide an enhanced field of view and throughput for cell ***,a new development shows that chip-nanoscopy also offers interesting progress for the study of histological samples offering a complementary technique to electron microscopy for histopathology assessment.

In this work,a method to improve the protection against corrosion of porous sintered stainless steel is *** is based on the electrodeposition of polypyrrole(PPy)layers doped with a large size counterion such as dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid(DBSA),a conducting polymer with high corrosion resistance and good *** efficacy of PPy coating depends on the adequate adhesion between the metal substrate and the coating *** protection against corrosion has been tested using 316 L stainless steel(SS)powder sintered at different conditions to evaluate the effect of the sintering atmosphere(nitrogen and vacuum)and cooling rates(furnace and water)on corrosion resistance,while wrought 316 L SS has been used as reference *** addition,two electrochemical deposition techniques have been tested to select the most *** circuit potential evolution,anodic polarization measurements and electrochemical impedance spectra have been used to evaluate corrosion protection in phosphate buffer saline *** has been evidenced that a more homogeneous and stable coating was obtained in the case of porous stainless *** corrosion potential shifted to nobler values and the anodic polarization branch became more *** porous samples have a good passivation performance with a lower stable passive current density and a higher breakdown *** transfer electronic resistance and the impedance module increase more than one order of ***,the porosity of sintered stainless steel is seen as an advantage for the improvement of the adherence of the PPy *** best corrosion protection is found for samples sintered in nitrogen and water-cooled.

Since indoor clothing insulation is a key element in thermal comfort models,the aim of the present study is proposing an approach for predicting it,which could assist the occupants of a building in terms of recommendations regarding their *** that,a systematic analysis of input variables is exposed,and 13 regression and 12 classification machine learning algorithms were developed and *** results are based on data from 3352 questionnaires and 21 input variables from a field study in mixed-mode office buildings in *** temperature at 6 a.m.,indoor air temperature,indoor relative humidity,comfort temperature and gender were the most relevant features for predicting clothing *** comparing machine learning algorithms,decision tree-based algorithms with Boosting techniques achieved the best *** proposed model provides an efficient method for forecasting the clothing insulation level and its application would entail optimising thermal comfort and energy efficiency.

For a bipartite graph G on m and n vertices, respectively, in its vertices classes, and for integers s andt such that 2≤ s ≤ t, 0≤ m-s ≤ n-t, andre＋n≤ 2s＋t-1, we prove that if G has at least mn- （2（m - s）＋ n - t） edges then it contains a subdivision of the complete bipartite K（s,t） with s vertices in the m-class and t vertices in the n-class. Furthermore, we characterize the corresponding extremal bipartite graphs with mn- （2（m - s）＋ n - t ＋ 1） edges for this topological Turan type problem.

The concept for space interferometry from Polar or Equatorial Circular Medium Earth Orbits(the PECMEO concept) is a promising way to acquire the image of the"shadow"of the event horizon of Sagittarius A*with an angular resolution of circa 5 microarcseconds. The concept is intended to decrease the size of the main reflector of the instrument to about 3 m using a precise orbit reconstruction based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation, inter-satellite range and range-rate measurements, and data from the Attitude and Orbit Determination System (AODS). The paper provides the current progress on the definition of the subsystems required for the concept on the basis of simulations, radio regulations, and available technology. The paper proposes the requirement for the localization of the phase centre of the main reflector. The paper provides information about the visibility of GNSS satellites and the needed accuracies of the AODS. The paper proposes the frequency plan for the instrument and its Inter-Satellite Links (ISLs).The concepts for measurement of range and range-rate using ISLs (as well as for the data exchange at these ISLs) are presented. The block diagram of the interferometer is described and its sensitivity is estimated. The link budget for both ISLs is given as well as their critical components. The calculated measurement quality factors are given. The paper shows the expected performance of the sub-systems of the interferometer. The requirements for the localization of the main reflectors and the information about the availability of the GNSS satellites are based on the simulations results. The frequency plan is obtained according to the PECMEO concept and taking into account the radio regulations. The existing technology defines the accuracies of the AODS, both the link budgets and the fundamental measurement accuracies for ISLs, and the sensitivity of the instrument. Dear Editor,Chromosome heteromorphisms are described as variations in size and morphology at specific regions that can be detected through classical banding *** are mitotically stable variants usually present in a heterozygous state(only one of the homologous chromosomes is heteromorphic).In humans,the most commonly detected heteromorphisms involve the heterochromatic regions of chromosomes 1,9,16,and Y(designated as lqh,9qh,16qh,and Yqh,respectively),and the short-arms,satellites,or stalks of the acrocentric chromosomes 13,14,15,21,and 22(e.g,for chromosome 13 designated as 13p.13ps,and 13pstk,respectively).Pericentric inversions involving the heterochromatic region of chromosomes l,9,and Y are also frequently observed.

The vapor-liquid equilibrium of binary mixtures of propyl acetate, butyl acetate and isobutyl acetate with meth- anol has been determined at a constant pressure of 0.6 MPa. Results have been modeled with the Peng-Robinson equation, a traditional cubic equation of state widely employed in chemical industries, as well as with the perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid PC-SAFT theory of Gross-Sadowski. By correlation of the binary inter- action parameters of these equations, the measured vapor-liquid equilibrium data can be accurately predicted. Thus, this work shows that these models are able to represent the experimental data for systems with associating comoounds via hydrogen bonding.

Farm-scale evaluation of the impact of CrylAb Bt maize on canopy nontarget arthropods： a 3-year study

The cultivation of CrylAb-expressing genetically modified MON810 （Bt maize） has led to public concern in Europe, regarding its impact on nontarget arthro- pods （NTAs）. We have assessed the potential effects of DKC 6451 YG （MON810） maize on canopy NTAs in a farm-scale study performed in Central Spain during 3 years. The study focused on hemipteran herbivores （leafhoppers and planthoppers） and hymenopteran parasitic wasps （mymarids） collected by yellow sticky traps, which accounted for 72% of the total number of insects studied. The dynamics and abundance of these groups varied among years, but no significant differences were found between Bt and non-Bt maize, indicating that Bt maize had no negative effect on these taxa. Nonetheless, the CrylAb toxin was detected in 2 different arthropods collected from Bt maize foliage, the cicadellids Zyginidia scutellaris and Empoasca spp. A retrospective power analysis on the arthropod abundance data for our field trials has determined that Z. scutellaris and the family My- maridae have high capacity to detect differences between the Bt maize and its isogenic counterpart. The use of these canopy NTAs as surrogates for assessing environmental impacts of Bt maize is discussed.
