Background:Burn is a cutaneous injury that is caused by heat,electricity,chemicals,freezing,and *** and Objectives:This study aimed to differentiate between dry heat burn injury and other common cutaneous burn *** and methods:For this,different types of dermal burns were created experimentally in four groups of rats,5 rats for each,as the following:dry heat burn model,scalding model,chemical burn model,and electrical burn *** burnt skin and hair samples were subjected to scanning electron microscopic examination,molecular assay of aquaporin-3(AQP-3)gene expression,and histopathological ***:There were crakes,holes,and cuticular irregularity in hairs exposed to both dry heat and sulfuric acid(chemical burn),while the major lesion observed in hairs exposed to boiling water(scald injury)was cuticular cell *** the other hand,dry burnt skin showed empty orifices of the hair and sebaceous gland with overlapped smooth lamella,while scald induced irregularity of collagen *** sulfuric acid produces separation of the epidermis from the dermis and irregularity in collagen *** skin exposed to electric current appears with fissure,lacerated edges,and erected broken *** AQP-3 gene expression was significantly upregulated in the burnt skin of all experimental models in comparing with control rats,dry heat burned skin showed the highest upregulated *** addition,the coagulation of the dermoepidermal cells and vesicles formation were the most pronounced lesions observed in all types of burns,while scald was distinguished by appearance of elongated cellular ***:These observations suggest the possibility to differentiate between dry thermal burn,scald injury,chemical burn,and electrical burn using the combination between scanning electron microscopic examination,analysis of cutaneous AQP-3 gene expression,and histological investigation.

The potential of di-(m-Formylphenol)-1,2-cyclohexandi.m.ne as an environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitor for steel was investigated in 1 mol/L HCl using potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and chronoamperometry measurements. All electrochemical measurements suggest that this compound is an excellent corrosion inhibitor for mild steel and the inhibition efficiency increases with the increase in inhibitor concentration. The effect of temperature on the corrosion behavior of mild steel with the addition of the Schiff base was studied in the temperature range from 25 °C to 65 °C. it is found that the adsorption of this inhibitor follows the Langmuir adsorption isotherms. The value of activation energy and the thermodynamic parameters such as ΔHads, ΔSads, Kads and ΔGads were calculated by the corrosion currents at different temperatures using the adsorption isotherm. The morphology of mild steel surface in the absence and presence of inhibitor was examined by scanning electron microscopy(SEm) images.

Physio-biochemical and nutrient constituents of peanut plants under bentazone herbicide for broad-leaved weed control and water regimes in dry land areas

The abundance of broad-leaved weeds in peanut fields represents the handicap in weed management programs, since limited specific herbicides can be recommended to control them. moreover, the physio-biochemical constituents and nutritional status in peanut plants as affected by available herbicides, i.e., bentazone under water stress conditions are not well known. Therefore, field trials were conducted during the growing seasons in 2016 and 2017 to investigate the interactional impact of irrigation levels(i_(50), i_(75) and i_(100), representing irrigation by 50%, 75% and 100% of crop evapotranspiration, respectively) and weed control practices(bentazone, bentazone+hoeing once, hoeing twice and weedy check as control) on dominant broad-leaved weeds as well as peanut physiological and agronomic traits. Result indicated that the efficiency of weed control for each weeded treatment under i_(50) significantly equaled with its counterpart under i_(75) or i_(100). Bentazone+hoeing once diminished weed bi.m.ss by 89.3% and enhanced chlorophyll content of peanut plants by 51.2%. Bentazone relatively caused a reduction in carotenoides. Hoeing twice and bentazone+hoeing once under i_(100) in both growing seasons as well as hoeing twice under i_(75) in 2017 were the superior combinations for boosting pod yield of peanut plants. Treatment of bentazone+hoeing once and i_(75) recorded the lowest reduction in N utilization percentage and the highest increase in potassi.m.utilization percentage of peanut plants. eliminating weeds enhanced water use efficiency by 37.8%, 49.6% and 34.7% under i_(50), i_(75) and i_(100), respectively. in conclusion, peanut seems to be tolerant to bentazone at moderate water supply, thus it can be safely used in controlling the associated broad-leaved weeds.

Since Type 1 diabetes(T1Dm)occurs whenβ-cells mass is reduced to less than 20%of the normal level due to autoi.m.ne destruction of cells resulting in the inability to secrete insulin,preservation or replenishment of the functionalβ-cells mass has become a major therapeutic focus for this diabetic type ***,this 4-week work plan was designed to determine which mesenchymal stem cells(mSCs)type is more appropriate to alleviate pancreatic hazards resulting from diabetes induction;via tracking a comparative study between mSCs derived from adipose tissue(AD-mSCs)and from bone marrow(Bm-mSCs)in management of T1Dm considering their i.m.nomodulatory,anti-apoptotic and antioxidative *** were divided randomly into 4 groups;control,STZdiabetic(D),D+AD-mSCs,and D+Bm-mSCs *** stem cells types in this study were ***,both oxidative stress and antioxidant markers were evaluated using colorimetric analysis,while inflammatory,i.m.ne and apoptotic markers were assessed through flow cytometric *** showed that diabetic rats treated with either AD-mSCs or Bm-mSCs exhibited marked pancreatic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities that were able to initiate pancreatic i.m.nomodulation and reducingβ-cells apoptotic death,thus,help to restore their normal insulin secretion and hypoglycemic ***,AD-mSCs injection was shown to be superior as a pancreatic regenerative tool in overcoming diabetes;owing to their marked antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,i.m.nomodulatory,and anti-apoptotic characteristics over Bm-mSCs treatment.

The first-principles study of the structural, elastic and electronic properties of the m2XC phases depending on the type of m transition metal （m are Ti and Cr） and on X （X are Ga and A1） was reported. The calculations are performed using the pseudo-potential plane-wave approach in both the local density and generalized gradient approximations. The elastic constants are calculated using the static finite strain technique. Features such as structural and elastic parameters, Debye tem- perature, sound velocities and their pressure dependence have been investigated. in agreement with experimental and previous theoretical findings, it is found that the compressibility along a and c axis depends on the valence electron concentration （VEC）. Correlations revealing the governing role of the X and m elements on the machinability indices of the material have been examined. The electronic properties have been discussed in terms of chemical bonding showing that bonding is due to md-Cp and md-Xp hybridizations. m-C bonds are stiffer than m-X ones and A1-Ti （Cr-C） bonds are stiffer than those corresponding to Ti-C （A1-Cr）. it is shown that the stiffness of the m-X and m-C bonds increases with increasing the number of VEC.

The analytical lower bound of Spectral Efficiency(SE)of downlink transmission of the massive multiple input multiple Output(ma-mimO)system is *** this paper,we derive some novel and approximate mathematical expressions for the lower bound of the SE of a ma-mimO with linear precoding schemes,i.e.,minimum mean Square Error(mmSE)and Zero-Forcing(ZF).For simulation analysis of the SE,we consider three joint users and antenna scheduling algorithms,namely,the semi-orthogonal,random,and distance-based user scheduling algorithms,whereas the antennas are selected based on maximum Signal to Noise Ratio(mSNR)with scheduled *** channel between the user and the transmitter is assumed to have characteristics of Small Scale Fading(SSF)and Large Scale Fading(LSF)with the Rayleigh fading *** investigate the effect of the variation of transmitting SNR,the number of base station antennas(m),and the radius(R)of the cell area on the *** simulate the downlink transmission of ma-mimO and compare the simulation and analytical *** is observed that the trends of variation of both results are similar to the variation of identical factors,and the difference between the simulated and analytical lower bounds of the SE is approximately 1-1.5 *** analytical lower bound is smaller than the simulation result.

Selective cyclooxygenase-2 （COX-2） inhibitors are widely used due to their efficacy and good safety profile. However, recent case reports have described varying degrees of liver injudes associated with the use of COX-2 inhibitors. We report the case of a patient who developed acute cholestatic hepatitis progressing to hepatic failure requiring liver transplantation, following a 3-d course of celecoxib for treatment of generalized muscle aches and pains. The clinical presentation, the laboratory data, as well as the liver histopathology were supportive of the putative diagnosis of drug induced liver injury.

Diabetes mellitus(Dm)could negatively affect patients’health via inducing a lot of serious functional hazards in many tissues’cells at molecular ***,many scientists had proposed stem cell therapy being an appropriate alternative treatment protocol for numerous health threatening issues including ***,the current study was designed to investigate the antioxidant potentiality of two mSCs types in alleviating tissues’oxidative stress dramatic elevation resulting as a consequence of Type 1 Dm *** our 4 weeks study,animals were divided into four groups:control group,STZ-diabetic group(D),D+AD-mSCs group and D+Bm-mSCs *** reported that diabetic rats treated with either AD-mSCs or Bm-mSCs exhibited a marvelous body tissues(Pancreas,Liver and Kidney)enhancing capabilities in attenuating the oxidative stress status;as evidenced by XO,ROS,and mDA levels down-regulation;with a general concomitant elevation in the antioxidants’content;evidenced by many enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants up-regulation;relative to the diabetic untreated ***,comparing both treatments with each other and to control group,most of the measured parameters were reverted back to near normal levels after AD-mSCs injection;which clearly point out their stunning health benefits and superiority as anti-diabetic agent in overcoming different tissues’complications;owing to their marked cytoprotective and regenerative potentialities.
