A Comparative Study on the Hemato-Biochemical and Immunological Effects of the Hexavalent FmD Vaccine Alone or in Combination with Trivalent FmD Vaccine in Cattle

Foot and mouth disease is the most contagious disease of mammals and has a great potential for causing severe economic loss in susceptible cloven-hoofed animals. Routine prophylactic vaccination in Egypt from 2012 till now has been conducted with Trivalent and/or hexavalent vaccine of mERIAL, against virus strains (O manisa + O-3039 + A Iran 05 + A Saudi 95 + Asia 1 + Sat2). This study aimed to evaluate the hemato-biochemical and immunological changes associated with the use of hexavalent vaccine alone or in combination with trivalent FmD vaccine. This study was carried out on 24 cattle divided into three groups eight cattle each. Group I served as control. Group II were selected from farms vaccinated with hexavalent FmD vaccine. Group III were selected from farms vaccinated with a combination of trivalent and hexavalent FmD vaccine. The results showed that both vaccinated groups showed a significant increase in total leukocytic count. Sera from hexavalent-trivalent vaccinated cattle demonstrated a significant increase in serum cortisol concentrations. Significant increase in serum activity of aspartate aminotransferase was recorded in animals vaccinated with a combination of hexavalent and trivalent vaccine. In addition, both regimes resulted in a significant increase in serum blood urea nitrogen compared to control. Both regimes induced a significant increase in serum levels of ceruloplasmin while phagocytic activity of neutrophils and phagocytic index was enhanced only by the hexavalent vaccine. Both vaccinated groups had significantly increased serum values of gamma globulins. These results suggested that hexavalent vaccine produced higher levels of safety and protective effects against FmD in cattle as compared to those produced by a combination of hexavalent and trivalent vaccines. It is also advisable to include the hexavalent vaccine within the program of obligatory and imperative vaccination against FmD.

Surface Roughness modification of Free Standing Single Crystal Silicon microstructures Using KrF Excimer Laser Treatment for mechanical Performance Improvement

Single crystal silicon freestanding structures for tensile and fatigue testing were treated with KrF excimer laser to improve surface roughness and accordingly mechanical performance. Sample thickness was 5 μm. Localized laser treatment was successful in eliminating the scallops developed during Bosch process and in reducing surface roughness. Harsh irradiation at laser energies up to 4 J/cm2 was only possible due to localized treatment without significant vibrations occurring on the freestanding samples that led to fracture in preliminary experiments at energies as low as 0.16 J/cm2. Finite element analysis was used to investigate the temperature distribution on the irradiated structures. Atomic force microscopy (AFm) and Raman spectroscopy were also used to assess surface roughness, crystallinity changes and surface stresses developing on surfaces subjected to perpendicular laser irradiation. At a high energy (3.2 J/cm2) the top surface showed a decrease of roughness compared to fabricated samples. Raman spectroscopy showed the dominance of crystalline silicon after laser irradiation. The electrochemical behavior of duloxetine HCl (***) at a carbon paste electrode (CPE) was achieved by cyclic voltammetry and a mechanism of its oxidation was reported and illustrated. A sensitive linear sweep and square-wave adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry methods were described for trace determination of ***. Introduction: ***, N-methyl-3-(nap-thalen-1- yloxy)-3-(thiophene-2-yl) propan-1-amine hydrochloride is a selective serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) originally developed as an antidepressant and is currently recommended for maintenance treatment of major depressive disorder. methods: electrochemical behavior was studied using cyclic voltammetric method, and the analytical application was studied using linear sweep and square wave voltammetric methods. Solution pH has been measured by pH meter. Results: The process on the surface of carbon paste electrode was found to be irreversible and diffusion-controlled. The number of proton and electron transferred were calculated. Possible reaction mechanism taking place on the surface of electrode was proposed. Calibration plot constructed using square wave voltammetric technique was used for quantitative analysis in pharmaceutical and human serum samples. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were calculated. Conclusions: In the present work, we described the electrochemical behavior of *** drug. Two precise linear sweep and square wave adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry methods have been described for its trace quantitation in pharmaceutical formulation and human serum. Background: The optimal TRT dose/fraction for LD-SCLC remains debatable, and due to increasing number of population in Egypt and number of patients as well, so reducing the duration of radiation therapy is favored. This study was conducted using etoposide and cisplatin (EP) concurrently with accelerated hypofractionated TRT to evaluate the response and toxicity of this protocol in the treatment of patients with limited-disease small cell lung cancer (LD-SCLC). Patients and Methods: Thirty patients with previously untreated LD-SCLC were enrolled into this study between June 2012 and February 2015. All patients received etoposide 100 mg/m2 days 1 to 3 and cisplatin 25 mg/m2 days 1 to 3 with start of accelerated hypofractionated thoracic radiation therapy on first day of the second cycle of chemotherapy of 55 Gy, 2.5 Gy/fraction over 30 days. Small for size syndrome difficult dilemma: Lessons from 10 years single centre experience in living donor liver transplantation

AIm To analyze the incidence, risk factors, prevention, treatment and outcome of small for size syndrome(SFSS) after living donor liver transplantation(LDLT). mETHODS Through-out more than 10 years: During the period from April 2003 to the end of 2013, 174 adult-to-adults LDLT(A-ALDLT) had been performed at National Liver Institute, menoufiya University, Shibin elkoom, Egypt. We collected the data of those patients to do this cohort study that is a single-institution retrospective analysis of a prospectively collected database analyzing the incidence, risk factors, prevention, treatment and outcome of SFSS in a period started from the end of 2013 to the end of 2015. The median period of follow-up reached 40.50 m, range(0-144 m). RESULTS SFSS was diagnosed in 20(11.5%) of our recipients. While extra-small graft [small for size graft(SFSG)], portal hypertension, steatosis and left lobe graft were significant predictors of SFSS in univariate analysis(P = 0.00, 0.04, 0.03, and 0.00 respectively); graft size was the only independent predictor of SFSS on multivariate analysis(P = 0.03). On the other hand, there was lower incidence of SFSS in patients with SFSG who underwent splenectomy [4/10(40%) SFSS vs 3/7(42.9%) no SFSS] but without statistical significance, However, there was none significant lower incidence of the syndrome in patients with right lobe(RL) graft when drainage of the right anterior and/or posterior liver sectors by middle hepatic vein, V5, V8, and/or right inferior vein was done [4/10(28.6%) SFSS vs 52/152(34.2%) no SFSS]. The 6-mo, 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-and 10-year survival in patients with SFSS were 30%, 30%, 25%, 25%, 25% and 25% respectively, while, the 6-mo, 1-, 3-, 5-, 7-and 10-year survival in patients without SFSS were 70.1%, 65.6%, 61.7%, 61%, 59.7%, and 59.7% respectively, with statistical significant difference(P = 0.00). Data Security model for Cloud Computing

From the perspective of data security, which has always been an important aspect of quality of service, cloud computing focuses a new challenging security threats. Therefore, a data security model must solve the most challenges of cloud computing security. The proposed data security model provides a single default gateway as a platform. It used to secure sensitive user data across multiple public and private cloud applications, including Salesforce, Chatter, Gmail, and Amazon Web Services, without influencing functionality or performance. Default gateway platform encrypts sensitive data automatically in a real time before sending to the cloud storage without breaking cloud application. It did not effect on user functionality and visibility. If an unauthorized person gets data from cloud storage, he only sees encrypted data. If authorized person accesses successfully in his cloud, the data is decrypted in real time for your use. The default gateway platform must contain strong and fast encryption algorithm, file integrity, malware detection, firewall, tokenization and more. This paper interested about authentication, stronger and faster encryption algorithm, and file integrity.

Gastric polyps: Association with Helicobacter pylori status and the pathology of the surrounding mucosa, a cross sectional study
