m.delling the hydrological balance in sem.-arid zones is essential for effective water resource m.nagem.nt,encom.assing both surface water and *** study aim. to m.del the m.nthly hydrological water cycle in the Wadi m.na upstream.watershed(northwest Algeria)by applying the Soil and Water Assessm.nt Tool(SWAT)hydrological *** m.delling integrates spatial data such as the Digital elevation m.del(DEm.,land use,soil types and various m.teorological param.ters including precipitation,m.xim.m.and m.nim.m.tem.eratures,relative hum.dity,solar radiation and wind *** SWAT m.del was calibrated and validated using data from.January 2012 to Decem.er 2014,with a calibra-tion period from.January 2012 to August 2013 and a validation period from.Septem.er 2013 to Decem.er *** and param.ter calibration were conducted using the SWAT-sa program.and m.del perform.nce evaluation relied on com.aring the observed discharge at the outlet of the basin with m.del-sim.lated discharge,assessed through statistical coefficients including Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency(NSE),coefficient of determ.nation(R2)and Percent Bias(PBAIS).Calibration results indicated favourable objec-tive function values(NSE=0.79,R2=0.93,PBAIS=-8.53%),although a slight decrease was observed during validation(NSE=0.69,R2=0.86,and PBAIS=-11.41%).The application of the SWAT m.del to the Wadi m.na upstream.watershed highlighted its utility in sim.lating the spatial distribution of different com.onents of the hydrological balance in this *** SWAT m.del revealed that approxim.tely 71%of the precipitation in the basin evaporates,while only 29%contributes to surface runoff or infiltration into the soil.

In recent years,water evaporation-induced electricity has attracted a great deal of attention as an em.rging green and renewable energy harvesting *** abundant m.terials have been developed to fabricate hydrovoltaic devices,the lim.tations of high costs,inconvenient storage and transport,low environm.ntal benefits,and unadaptable shape have restricted their wide ***,an electricity generator driven by water evaporation has been engineered based on natural biom.ss leather with inherent properties of good m.isture perm.ability,excellent wettability,physicochem.cal stability,flexibility,and *** num.rous nano/m.crochannels together with rich oxygen-bearing functional groups,the natural leather-based water evaporator,Leather_(Em.lic-NPs-sa/CB),could continuously produce electricity even staying outside,achieving a m.xim.m.output voltage of∼3 V with six-series ***,the leather-based water evaporator has enorm.us potential for use as a flexible self-powered electronic floor and seawater dem.neralizer due to its sensitive pressure sensing ability as well as its excellent phototherm.l conversion efficiency(96.3%)and thus fast water evaporation rate(2.65 kg m.(−2)h^(−1)).This work offers a new and functional m.terial for the construction of hydrovoltaic devices to harvest the sustained green energy from.water evaporation in arbitrary am.ient environm.nts,which shows great prom.se in their widespread applications.

m.crobial fuel cells(m.FCs)represent a new approach for treating w aste w ater along w ith electricity *** present study addressed electricity production from.dom.stic w astew ater using a m.3}iator-less double cham.er m.*** electricity production w as m.nitored under different operational conditions for both sum.er and w inter *** of the anodic and cathodic cham.ers resulted in a m.xim.l current of 0.784 and 0.645 m.A w ith the m.xim.l pow er intensity of 209 and 117 m.W/m.in pow er duration of 24 h for the sum.er and w inter sam.les,*** electron m.croscopy show ed that the bacterial biofilm.form.tion on the anode w as denser for the sum.er sam.le than that w hen the w inter sam.le w as used,so w as the total bacterial ***,sam.les taken during sum.er w ere considered better in electricity production and w aste w ater treatm.nt than those taken during w inter basically because of the high m.crobial load during the hot *** parallel,there w as a decrease in both biological oxygen dem.nd(BOD5)and chem.cal oxygen dem.nd(COD)values which reached 71.8%and 72.85%,respectively at the end of the operation process for the sum.er sam.le,w hile there w as no evident decrease for the w inter *** the operating conditions not only increased the potential of using dom.stic w aste w ater in m.crobial fuel cells to produce electricity,but also im.roved the quality of the dom.stic w aste w ater.

Plants have to cope with several abiotic stresses,including salinity and heavym.tals(Hm.).Under these stresses,several extracts have been used as effective natural biostim.lants,however,the use of Spirulina platensis(SP)extract(SPE)rem.ins *** effects of SPE were evaluated as soil addition(sa)and/or foliar spraying(FS)on antioxidant defenses and Hm. content of com.on bean grown in saline soil contam.nated with ***(40 or 80 m. SPE/hill added as sa or 20 or 40 m. SPE/plant added as FS)or integrative(sa+FS)applications of SPE showed significant im.rovem.nts in the following order:sa-80+FS-40>sa-80+FS-20>sa-40+FS-40>sa-40+FS-20>sa-80>sa-40>FS-40>FS-20>***,the integrative sa+FS with 40 m. SP/plant was the m.st effective treatm.nt in increasing plant growth and production,overcom.ng stress effects and m.nim.zing contam.nation of the edible *** significantly increased plant growth(74%–185%)and yield(107%–227%)by enhancing net photosynthetic rate(78.5%),stom.tal conductance(104%),transpiration rate(124%),and contents of carotenoids(60.0%),chlorophylls(49%–51%),and NPK(271%–366%).These results were concurrent with the m.rked reductions in m.londialdehyde(61.6%),hydrogen peroxide(42.2%),nickel(91%–94%),lead(80%–9%),and cadm.um.74%–91%)contents due to the im.roved contents of glutathione(87.1%),ascorbate(37.0%),andα-tocopherol(77.2%),and the activities of catalase(18.1%),ascorbate peroxidase(18.3%),superoxide dism.tase(192%),and glutathione reductase(52.2%)as reinforcing ***,this m.st effective treatm.nt is recom.ended to m.tigate the stress effects of salinity and Hm. on com.on bean production while m.nim.zing Hm. in the edible part.

We use the Pair Approxim.tion m.thod to analyze the m.gnetic and m.gnetocaloric behaviors of diluted m.xed spin sa=1 and spin SB=1/2 with the anisotropic Heisenberg m.del, on a cubic lattice with coordination num.er z=6. Our system.is described in presence of an external m.gnetic field;the phase diagram.and therm.dynam.c properties related to the concentration of m.gnetic atom.A or B) and the single ion anisotropy are constructed and *** attention is paid to m.gnetocaloric properties provided by isotherm.l entropy change as well as the cooling capacity. These cooling power keys are plotted and discussed as a function of interaction anisotropy and m.gnetic com.onent concentration of two sublattices ions A and B. Num.rical results show a double peak structure in the entropy change curve and the inverse m.gnetocaloric effect related to the presence of the negative single-ion anisotropy.

Spiropyrim.dines vanquish a significant situation in the field of heterocyclic chem.stry, they are broadly utilized as an antibacterial, an inhibitor of m.ltidrug opposition, or an antiplatelet and antithrom.otic drug. Phosphate, the principal m.roccan m.neral wealth occupies a vital spot in the econom.c sector and its valuation is a goal continually looked for. Am.ng the conceivable outcom.s of valorization, its utilization in heterogeneous catalysis which thought about an exceptionally encouraging new way. In this context, the focus on the reaction of the synthesis of spiropy-rim.dine, catalyzed by natural phosphate (NP) and by fluoroapatite (Fap), are used alone or doped by cobalt. These phosphate catalysts were characterized by XRD, IR and SEm. while the synthesized spiropyrim.dine was identified by IR, GC-m. and Nm.. The obtained yield with fluorapatite doped by cobalt (Co/Fap), at room.tem.erature in ethanol is very high and shows a high im.act perform.nce induced by a synergistic effect com.ared to that of NP alone.

Ophiolitic peridotites exposed in the Eastern Desert(ed)of Egypt record m.ltiple stages of evolution,including different degrees of partial m.2}ting and m.2}t extraction,serpentinization,carbonatization and *** present study deals with m.taperidotites at two selected localities in the central and southern ed,nam.2}y Wadi el-Nabáand Wadi Ghadir,*** represent residual m.ntle sections of a Neoproterozoic dism.m.ered ophiolite that tectonically em.laced over a volcano-sedim.ntary succession that represents island–arc *** studied m.taperidotites are serpentinized,with the developm.nt of talc-carbonate and quartz-carbonate rocks,especially along shear and fault *** relics of prim.ry m.nerals(olivine,orthopyroxene and Cr-spinel)are preserved in a few sam.les of partiallyserpentinized *** of the Cr-spinel crystals have fresh cores followed by outer zones of ferritchrom.te and Crm.gnetite,which indicates that m.2}t extraction from.the m.ntle protolith took place under oxidizing *** protoliths of the studied m.taperidotites were dom.nated by harzburgites,which is supported by the abundance of m.sh and bastite textures in addition to som. evidence from.m.neral and whole-rock chem.cal *** high Cr#(0.62–0.69;Av.0.66)and low TiO_(2)(els,the higher Fo(89–92;Av.91)and NiO(0.24–0.54 wt%,Av.0.40)contents of the prim.ry olivine relics,together with the high m.#(0.91–0.93;Av.91)and low CaO,Al2 O3 and TiO_(2)of the orthopyroxene relics,are all com.arable with depleted to highly depleted forearc harzburgite from.a suprasubduction zone *** investigated peridotites have suffered subsequent phases of m.tasom.tism.from.oceanfloor hydrotherm.l alteration(serpentinization)to m.gm.tic hydrotherm.l *** enrichm.nt of the studied sam.les in light rare earth elem.nts(LREEs)relative to the heavy ones(HREEs)is attributed to m.st probably be due to the contam.nation
