The purpose of this study is to explore the psychosocial and physical health impact of child labor and in Jordan and compare between working and nonworking children at schools and industrial sites. Methods: A sample of 4008 children at schools and industrial sites answered the self-report questionnaires that include physical and psychosocial health concerns, health screening survey, anger expression and child abuse survey. The results showed that both nonschool and school working children have various physical and psychosocial health problems. Physical complaints included common cold, flu, hearing and vision problems. Psychosocial ones included feeling lonely, feeling depressed, problems at home and work, and high level of anger expression, smoking cigarettes and using drugs. The study’s implications for health, education, counseling, and research interventions were discussed.

With the advent of quantum computing,numerous efforts have been made to standardize post-quantum cryptosystems with the intention of(eventually)replacing Elliptic Curve Cryptography(ECC)and Rivets-Shamir-Adelman(RSA).A modified version of the traditional N-Th Degree Truncated Polynomial Ring(NTRU)cryptosystem called NTRU Prime has been developed to reduce the attack *** this paper,the Signcryption scheme was proposed,and it is most efficient than others since it reduces the complexity and runs the time of the code execution,and at the same time,provides a better security degree since it ensures the integrity of the sent message,confidentiality of the data,forward secrecy when using refreshed parameters for each *** to prevent the man-in-the-middle attack from being active or passive,and non-repudiation when the sender can’t deny the recently sent *** study aims to create a novel NTRU cryptography algorithm system that takes advantage of the security features of curve fitting operations and the valuable characteristics of chaotic *** proposed algorithm combines the(NTRU Prime)and Shamir’s Secret Sharing(SSS)features to improve the security of the NTRU encryption and key generation stages that rely on robust polynomial *** on experimental results and a comparison of the time required for crucial exchange between NTRU-SSS and the original NTRU,this study shows a rise in complexity with a decrease in execution time in the case when compared to the original ***’s encouraging to see signs that the suggested changes to the NTRU work to increase accuracy and efficiency.

However, the diagnostic ability of hypertension for the presence and severity of CAD (coronary artery disease) has not been elucidated. This study investigates the relationship between hypertension and CAD complexity using the SYNTAX score to determine hypertension’s roles in coronary heart disease progression. Method: This is a prospective study that includes consecutive 410 adult patients at mean age (61 ± 11 years) who are admitted to Cardiology Department and undergo invasive coronary angiography (CAG) where a significant coronary lesion (SCL) is defined as stenosis ≥50% in vessel diameter ≥ 1.5 mm. The SYNTAX scores were calculated using the SYNTAX score algorithm. Results: The mean rank of SYNTAX score was significantly higher among hypertension than non-hypertension (mean rank: 279, 184, p = 0.006) groups. SYNTAX score was positively correlated with age (r: 0.263, p ale (-4.4, p = 0.002), HDL (-6.4, p = 0.002) were significant independent risk factors for SYNTAX score, in ordinal regression model aging (odd ratio: 1.08, p ale (2.84, p = 0.026), HDL (0.05, p significantly independent predictor of increase or decrease probability of falling in high syntax score group. Conclusion Hypertension affects the distribution of SYNTAX score among patients with and without hypertension, and the prevalence of significant coronary lesions was more frequent in hypertensive patients. The present research was conducted to study salinity effect on callus growth and regeneration from the local Chilli pepper cultivar as well as calli content of capsaicin, phenylalanine, proline and ascorbic acid. The results showed that the Pericarp gave the highest fresh and dry weight of 511.6 mg and 56.95 mg respectively at 9 dSm-1 compared with other interactions. Moreover the lowest fresh and dry weight was recorded for the root calli grown at 12 dSm-1. The highest regeneration percentage was 87.20% at 3 dSm-1 and the lowest was 6.70% at 9 dSm-1. For explant effect on regeneration, the highest percentage was 71.1% for shoot tips and the lowest was 23.30 % from the pericarp. However no plants were regenerated at 12 dSm-1 from all explants and at 9 dSm-1 from calli induced from roots, placenta and pericarps. Calli induced from Pericarp contain significantly higher Proline amount at 12 dSm-1 which was 34.65 μg/g and the lowest was 2.57 μg/g at 3 dSml. Moreover Phenylalanine ranged from 28.23 μg/g at 3 dSml and 41.50μg/g at 12 dSm1. While a wide range between the explants in the Ascorbic acid amount was recorded. The highest was 47.21 μg/g from the Placenta calli and the lowest was 0.98 μg/g from the Shoot tip calli. On the other hand calli produced from Placenta gave the highest amount of Capsaicin 53.11 μg/g at 9 dSm-1 which was not significantly different than the placenta and the pericarp at 12 dSml and the shoot tips, placenta and the pericarp at 9 μg/g. In conclusion Chili pepper callus tolerated salinity via the accumulation of Ascorbic acid, Proline, Phenylalanine and Capsaicin. Moreover Chili Pepper grown In vitro under salt stress contained high amount of Capsaicin the important pharmaceutical compound. Finally pepper plants were regenerated from salt stressed calli might be salt tolerant under field conditions.

Cholera is a severe diarrheal disease which is usually caused by toxigenic strain of Vibrio cholerae O1 and O139. Cholera is still one of the major health concerns in developing countries like Bangladesh due to poor sanitation and unavailability of safe drinking water. This experiment was confronted to identify V. cholerae O1 from stool samples as well as to determine the antibiotic susceptibility pattern of the isolated strains. A total of 140 stool samples from people infected with diarrheal disease were collected from July 2016 to December 2016. Among all, 58 samples were found positive for V. cholerae which were further subjected to sero-grouping by specific anti-sera and antimicrobial sus-ceptibility test by Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method. The zones of inhibition were measured and interpreted by following the recommendations of the criteria of Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). It was found that 43 (74.1%) isolates of V. cholerae were O1 serogroup of Ogawa serotype and the rest 15 (25.9%) were O1 serogroup of Inaba serotype. People aged between 41 - 50 were most susceptible to V. cholerae O1 having about 39.7% of positive cases. The isolates were highly susceptible to Ciprofloxacin and Gentamicin with 100% susceptibility whereas 100% resistant was found towards Nalidixic acid. Though most of the isolates in our study were susceptible against tested antibiotics, the continuous surveillance is required to see the changing pattern of serogroups or serotypes and antimicrobial profile in this region.

This experiment was conducted to optimize the culture conditions to induce calli from chilli pepper （Capsicum annuum L.） local cultivar. The mature seeds were surface sterilized for one min with 70% Ethanol followed by 20 min with （0%, 2%, 4% or 6%） NaOCI and were germinated on MS medium with 2 mg/L GA3. Seedlings and mature fruits were used as explants source. The placenta, pericarp, hypocotyls, cotyledonal leaves, shoot tips and roots were cultured on MS media supplemented with Kinetin （0.0 mg/L, 0.5 mg/L, 1.0 mg/L, 2.0 mg/L） and IAA （0.0 mg/L, 1.0 mg/L, 2.0 mg/L） in different combinations or NAA or 2,4-D （0.0 mg/L, 1.0 mg/L, 2.0 mg/L, 4.0 mg/L）. Callus fresh weight was recorded after 4 weeks in culture. The results showed that the best sterilizing method was with 70% Ethanol followed by 20 mints with （4% or 6%） NaOCI, however 6% NaOCI reduced seed＇s viability. Callus was induced from all explants cultured on MS media supplemented with IAA and Kinetin except the placenta and the pericarp. The results showed that the hypocotyls surpass all other explants in the mean callus fresh weight which was 160.58 mg compared with 147.81 mg, 134.95 mg, and 122.33 mg for cotyledonal leaves, shoot tips and roots respectively. Moreover the analysis of the interaction between the growth regulators and the explants showed that 2 mg/L IAA and Kinetin had significant effect on callus mean fresh weight which was （309.74, 339.14, 358.48, and 284.64） mg for the shoot tips, cotyledonal leaves, hypocotyls and roots, respectively. On the other hand, 2 mg/L 2,4-D or NAA was the best concentration for callus induction from the placenta and the pericarp. The pericarp gave a mean fresh weight of 276.90 mg in the presence of 2,4-D compared with 253.60 mg for the placenta. Moreover the pericarps gave significantly higher fresh weight than the placenta with an average of 210.3mg and 184.9 mg respectively in the presence of 2 mg/L NAA. The effect ofmutagenic NaN3 at concentration （0.0, 2.0 and 4.0 mM） and salinity stress at the levels （6.5, 8.5, 10.5 and 12 dS/m） on the seeds germination, callus induction and plant regeneration fi＇om stressed callus of different borage explants were investigated. The results showed that （4.0 mM） NaN3 with 4 h incubation period increased germination percentage reached 83.3% rate. Moreover the responses of different explants for callus induction in the presence of different combinations from auxin and cytokines were varied and a combination of（2 mg/L ）from each of BA and IAA gave high callus fresh weight reached （229.6, 218.0, 237.3） for （shoot tips, cotyledon leaves and hypocotyls） respectively .Concerning to the effect of salinity stress on callus induction and plant regeneration a high reduction in callus flesh weight and plant regeneration were observed at the high level of NaCl.

Antioxidant Effect of Atorvastatin in Type 2 Diabetic Patients

Evidence has long been existed regarding the relationship between oxidative stress and diabetes. The present study was conducted to assess the effect of atorvastatin on selected oxidative stress parameters and its effect on lipid profile parameters in dyslipidaemic type 2 diabetic patients. Fifty nine dyslipidaemic type 2 diabetic patients were included in this study. A full history was taken and general examination was performed. The patients were taking an oral hypoglycaemic drug (glibenclamide) during the study. The patients were followed up for 60 days and divided randomly into 2 groups. Group I (n = 31) received no drug and served as dyslipidaemic diabetic control. Group II (n = 28) received atorvastatin tablets 20 mg once daily at night. Blood samples were drawn from the patients at the beginning and after 60 days of follow up between 8:30 and 10:30 am after at least 12-14 hours fasting. Fasting blood glucose, lipid profile, selective oxidative stress parameters, glutathione S reductase (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, glutathione S transferase (GST) and catalase (CAT) activities were measured. Renal and hepatic functions were also assessed. The results showed that atorvastatin treatment produced significant increase in serum levels of GSH and High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), while serum levels of MDA, Total Cholesterol (TC), Triglyceride (TG), Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C) and Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) were significantly decreased. However, no significant effect was observed regarding CAT and GST activity. There were insignificant correlations between atorvastatin induced changes in the oxidation markers and the observed changes of the lipid profile. In conclusion, the antioxidant effect of atorvastatin could be unrelated to its hypolipidemic action as there was insignificant correlation between changes in lipid profile and oxidative stress in this study.

The study was carried out to induce variations and stimulate callus induction, plant regeneration from different explants of two tomato （Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.） cultivars Trescantos and super Regina by using tissue culture technique and Sodium azide as a chemical mutagens at concentrations （0.0, 2.0 and 4.0） mM under salinity stress condition at the levels（3.0, 6.0 and 9.0） dS/m. Different plant growth regulators were tested for their potentials in callus induction. The results revealed that treated seeds with SA （sodium azide） at concentration （2.0） mM increased seed germination percentage, seedling height and root length as compare to control treatment. While （4.0） mM concentration cause a reduction in all parameters mentioned above. Concerning to callus induction both cultivars showed a different response against different tested media with varying concentrations of plant growth regulators and despite their variable response to all tested media a combination of （2.0） mg from Kinetin （KIN） and lndol acetic acid （IAA） was found to be the most effective as compare to other treatments. Moreover, when callus transferred to a stressed media the variation was observed in explants fresh weight, and high reduction with the increment of salt level were recorded. Similarly the regeneration efficiency from stressed callus were observed at the level 3.0 and 6.0 dS/m while 9.0 dS/m the callus failed to regenerate plants for all three explants of both tomato cultivars.
