Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth(SIBO)is defined as an increase in the bacterial content of the small intestine above normal *** presence of SIBO is detected in 33.8%of patients with gastroenterological complaints who underwent a breath test,and is significantly associated with smoking,bloating,abdominal pain,and *** pump inhibitor therapy is a significant risk factor for *** risk of SIBO increases with age and does not depend on gender or *** complicates the course of a number of diseases and may be of pathogenetic significance in the development of their *** is significantly associated with functional dyspepsia,irritable bowel syndrome,functional abdominal bloating,functional constipation,functional diarrhea,short bowel syndrome,chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction,lactase deficiency,diverticular and celiac diseases,ulcerative colitis,Crohn’s disease,cirrhosis,metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD),primary biliary cholangitis,gastroparesis,pancreatitis,cystic fibrosis,gallstone disease,diabetes,hypothyroidism,hyperlipidemia,acromegaly,multiple sclerosis,autism,Parkinson’s disease,systemic sclerosis,spondylarthropathy,fibromyalgia,asthma,heart failure,and other *** development of SIBO is often associated with a slowdown in orocecal transit time that decreases the normal clearance of bacteria from the small *** slowdown of this transit may be due to motor dysfunction of the intestine in diseases of the gut,autonomic diabetic polyneuropathy,and portal hypertension,or a decrease in the motor-stimulating influence of thyroid *** a number of diseases,including cirrhosis,MAFLD,diabetes,and pancreatitis,an association was found between disease severity and the presence of *** work on the effect of SIBO eradication on the condition and prognosis of patients with various diseases is required.

In this paper, several approaches for calculation of the effective tensor coefficient for domains with inclusions have been proposed. The limits of the approaches using are found. The series of numerical experiments are made on the different frequencies, for different inclusions location and boundary conditions for the contrast properties of the matrix and inclusion materials.

Transition metal oxides with 4d or 5d metals are of great interest due to the competing interactions, of the Coulomb repulsion and the itineracy of the d-electrons, opening a possibility of building new quantum ground states. Particularly the 5d metal oxides containing Iridium have received significant attention within the last years, due to their unexpected physical properties, caused by a strong spin orbit coupling observed in It（Iv）. A prominent example is the Mott-insulator Sr2IrO4. Another member of this family, the honeycomb lattice compound Na2IrO3, also being a Mott-insulator having, most probably, a Kitaev spin liquid ground state. By deintercalating sodium from Na2IrO3, the authors were able to synthesize a new honeycomb lattice compound with more than 50% reduced sodium content. The reduction of the sodium content in this layered compound leads to a change of the oxidation state of iridium from ＋ Iv to ＋ v/＋ vI and a symmetry change from C2/c to P-3. This goes along with significant changes of the physical properties. Besides the vanishing magnetic ordering at 15 K, also the transport properties changes and instead insulating semiconducting properties are observed.

Researches in the field of low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR) have shown a wide variety of manifestations of these phenomena. They appear in metals with hydrogen dissolved in them, in plasma, in gas discharge, in electrolysis, and even in biological systems. In addition to energy release, which far exceeds the capabilities of chemical reactions, LENR is characterized by a huge variety of emerging chemical elements. This report provides examples of appearance of many initially missing elements in different LENR installations. For example, in the nickel-hydrogen LENR reactor created in our laboratory, which worked for 7 months, Ca, v, Ti, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ba, Sr, Yb, Hf were found. Moreover, new elements were found not only in the “fuel” but also in the surrounding matter. The huge variety of chemical elements that arise can be explained by the fact that in the processes of LENR, the interaction covers several atoms at once. The article discusses approaches to explaining the phenomena discovered in the process of LENR researches.

The severity of septic arthritis of the hand and the prospects for restoration of joint function are determined by a complex of factors. Among them, the leading role belongs to local changes in tissue structures. This includes the destruction of articular cartilage and bone tissue with the development of osteomyelitis, the involvement of paraarticular soft tissues in the purulent process, and the destruction of the flexor/extensor tendons of the fingers. The currently missing specialized classification of septic arthritis could help in systematizing the diseases, determining treatment tactics, and predicting the results of *** classification of septic arthritis of the hand proposed for discussion is based on the following principle: Joint-Wound-Tendon(Jx Wx Tx);Jx characterizes damage to the osteochondral structures of the joint, Wx is the presence of paraarticular purulent wounds or fistulas, and Tx is destruction of the flexor/extensor tendons of the finger. The classification of the diagnosis makes it possible to assess the nature and severity of damage to the structures of the joint and may also be useful when comparing the results of treatment of septic arthritis of the hand.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is one of the most common human neurodegenerative disorders caused by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the brain. The α-synuclein (SNCA) gene is one of the most studied genes involved in the pathogenesis of PD. In our study, we conducted a genetic analysis of promoter and intron single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the SNCA gene. We also analyzed the association of genotypes of these SNPs with expression levels of SNCA mRNA. One of four SNPs in the SNCA gene, and the rs2736990 polymorphism, associates with the risk of the sporadic form of PD in Russian population. The risk of PD was increased almost twofold in carriers of allele C (odds ratios = 1.9, 95% confidence interval: 1.2-2.91, p = 0.003). However, no association was found between any of the genotypes of SNPs tested (rs2583988, rs2619363, rs2619364 and rs2736990) and alterations in SNCA levels. Our findings support the hypothesis that the rs2736990 polymorphism is associated with PD. SNPs rs2583988, rs2619363 and rs2619364 in the promoter region of the SNCA gene themselves do not significantly influence the expression of SNCA. Most likely, SNCA gene expression is a very complex process that is affected by different genetic and epigenetic factors.

Change in the Pore Structure of Carbon-Carbon Composites during Successive Stages of High-Pressure Impregnation and Heat Treatment

Pore structure of C/C （Carbon-Carbon） composite after several stages of pitch impregnation under the high pressure and heat treatment was investigated by means of low temperature nitrogen adsorption and the standard contact porosimetry. Total pore volume, pore size distribution and specific surface area were calculated for samples of composite after several successive stages of treatment. The radius of pores presented in the material changes from 1 nm to 90 tam. Total pore volume and specific surface area both decrease after successive stages of pitch impregnation under the pressure, whereas heat treatment up to 1,750 ℃ and 2,000 ℃ leads to creation of some porous space and pore volume expansion. The bulk porosity of C/C composite comes down from 33.7% to 13.7% after the serial stages of treatment and the specific surface area is reduced by half compared to the initial material.
