Since December 2019,a new pandemic has appeared causing a considerable negative global *** SARS-CoV-2 first emerged from China and transformed to a global pandemic within a short *** virus was further observed to be spreading rapidly and mutating at a fast pace,with over 5,775 distinct variations of the virus observed globally(at the time of submitting this paper).Extensive research has been ongoing worldwide in order to get a better understanding of its behaviour,influence and more importantly,ways for reducing its *** analytics has been playing a pivotal role in this research to obtain valuable insights into understanding and fighting against the spread of ***,this is time and resource intensive,making it difficult to observe and quickly identify the impact of *** such as the spread or virulence could explain the three months delay in revealing the new virus variant in the *** paper presents an extensive correlation analysis of the effect caused by the different SARS-CoV-2 strains,and their influence on the population across diverse factors,such as propagation and fatality rates,during the peak of the pandemic,with a focus on two major countries in the Middle East,the United Arab Emirate(UAE)and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA).This research aims to investigate the epidemiological behaviour of the Coronavirus’genomic variants over time in the UAE,compared with the KSA,where correlation analysis is carried out for a number of cases,deaths and their statistical *** results of the analysis highlight very interesting insights into the epidemiological impact of the Covid-19 genomic behaviour in both countries,which could lead to important actions taken to minimize the impact on wider public health,possibly saving lives,and the *** instance,our method identifies a potential correlation between a spike in the number of deaths per case of 5.5 observed in the UAE by March 24th,with the emergence of new

The communication in the Millimeter-wave(mmWave)band,i.e.,30~300 GHz,is characterized by short-range transmissions and the use of antenna beamforming(BF).Thus,multiple mmWave access points(APs)should be installed to fully cover a target environment with gigabits per second(Gbps)***,inter-beam interference prevents maximizing the sum rates of the established concurrent *** this paper,a reinforcement learning(RL)approach is proposed for enabling mmWave concurrent transmissions by finding out beam directions that maximize the long-term average sum rates of the concurrent ***,the problem is formulated as a multiplayer multiarmed bandit(MAB),where mmWave APs act as the players aiming to maximize their achievable rewards,i.e.,data rates,and the arms to play are the available beam *** this setup,a selfish concurrent multiplayer MAB strategy is *** different MAB algorithms,namely,ϵ-greedy,upper confidence bound(UCB),Thompson sampling(TS),and exponential weight algorithm for exploration and exploitation(EXP3)are examined by employing them in each AP to selfishly enhance its beam selection based only on its previous *** a few rounds of interactions,mmWave APs learn how to select concurrent beams that enhance the overall system *** proposed MAB based mmWave concurrent BF shows comparable performance to the optimal solution.

Objective:To investigate the role of water-soluble extract of Salvia fruticosa(Creek sage)(***) leaves in reducing both intrinsic cellular and H_2O_2-induced DNA oxidation in cultured human embryonic kidney 293 *** to the Eastern-Mediterranean basin,is widely used as a medicinal herb for treatment of various ***:Dried leaves of *** were extracted in phosphate buffer saline and purified using both vacuum and high pressure *** mL of the preparation contained(7.1±1.0)mg of ***-293 cells were incubated in one set with *** extract in the presence of 0.1 mmol/L H_2O_2,and in the other set with the addition of the extract *** DNA oxidation was measured using fluorescence upon fluorescein isothiocyanate derivarization of 8-oxoguanine *** fluorescence was measured using flow cytometry ***:Cells incubated 3 h with 150μL extract and exposed to 0.1 mmol/L H_2O_2 showed lower intensity of fluorescence,and thus lower DNA ***,cells incubated 3 h with 100μ*** the extract showed lower intensity of fluorescence,and thus lower intrinsic cellular DNA oxidation compared to control(without ***).Conchisions:The results from this study suggest that the water-soluble extract of *** leaves protects against both H_2O_2-induced and intrinsic cellular DNA oxidation in human embryonic kidney 293 cells.

Since its initial description, the pathogenesis of the columnar-lined esophagus （CLE） has been surrounded by many controversies. The first controversy is related to the existence of the condition itself. The second controversy centers on whether the CLE is a congenital or an acquired condition. In this article, we review the congenital and acquired theories of development of CLE and discuss the various factors in acquisition of CLE. The bulk of evidence in the literature suggests that CLE is an acquired condition.

Rapid advancements of the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)and artificial intelligence(AI)pose serious security issues by revealing secret ***,security data becomes a crucial issue in IIoT communication where secrecy needs to be guaranteed in real ***,AI techniques can be utilized to design image steganographic techniques in *** addition,encryption techniques act as an important role to save the actual information generated from the IIoT devices to avoid unauthorized *** order to accomplish secure data transmission in IIoT environment,this study presents novel encryption with image steganography based data hiding technique(EISDHT)for IIoT *** proposed EIS-DHT technique involves a new quantum black widow optimization(QBWO)to competently choose the pixel values for hiding secrete data in the cover *** addition,the multi-level discrete wavelet transform(DWT)based transformation process takes ***,the secret image is divided into three R,G,and B bands which are then individually encrypted using Blowfish,Twofish,and Lorenz Hyperchaotic *** last,the stego image gets generated by placing the encrypted images into the optimum pixel locations of the cover *** order to validate the enhanced data hiding performance of the EIS-DHT technique,a set of simulation analyses take place and the results are inspected interms of different *** experimental outcomes stated the supremacy of the EIS-DHT technique over the other existing techniques and ensure maximum security.

AIM： To determine the risk factors for the development of esophageal adenocarcinoma in these patients with columnar-lined esophagus （CLE）. METHODS： Data collected retrospectively on 597 consecutive patients diagnosed at endoscopy and histology to have CLE at Leeds General Infirmary between 1984 and 1995 were analyzed. Factors evaluated included age, sex, length of columnar segment, smoking, and drinking habits, history of non-steroidal ingestion, presence of endoscopic esophagitis, ulceration or benign strictures and presence of Helicobacter pylori in esophageal biopsies. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to identify risk factors for the development of adenocarcinoma. RESULTS： Forty-four patients presented or developed esophageal adenocarcinoma during follow-up. Independent risk factors for the development of adenocarcinoma in palJents with CLE were males （OR 5.12, 95%CI 2.04-12.84, P = 0.0005）, and benign esophageal stricture （OR 4.37, 95%CI 2.02-9.45, P = 0.0002）. Male subjects and patients who developed benign esophageal stricture constituted 86% （n = 38） of all patients who presented or developed esophageal adenocarcinoma. The presence of esophagitis was associated with a significant reduction in the development of esophageal carcinoma （OR 0.28, 95%CI 0.13-0.57, P = 0.0006）. No other clinical characteristics differentiate between the non-malignant and malignant group. CONCLUSION： In patients with CLE, endoscopic surveillance for the early detection of adenocarcinoma may be restricted to male subjects, as well as patients who develop benign esophageal strictures.

Background:Diabetes and hypertension are two of the commonest diseases in the *** they unfavorably affect people of different age groups,they have become a cause of concern and must be predicted and diagnosed well in ***:This research aims to determine the effectiveness of artificial neural networks(ANNs)in predicting diabetes and blood pressure diseases and to point out the factors which have a high impact on these ***:This work used two online datasets which consist of data collected from 768 *** applied neural network algorithms to predict if the individuals have those two diseases based on some *** prediction is based on five factors:age,weight,fat-ratio,glucose,and insulin,while blood pressure prediction is based on six factors:age,weight,fat-ratio,blood pressure,alcohol,and ***:A model based on the Multi-Layer Perceptron Neural Network(MLP)was *** inputs of the network were the factors for each disease,while the output was the prediction of the disease’s *** model performance was compared with other classifiers such as Support Vector Machine(SVM)and K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN).We used performance metrics measures to assess the accuracy and performance of ***,a tool was implemented to help diagnose the diseases and to understand the ***:The model predicted the two diseases with correct classification rate(CCR)of 77.6%for diabetes and 68.7%for *** results indicate that MLP correctly predicts the probability of being diseased or not,and the performance can be significantly increased compared with both SVM and *** shows MLPs effectiveness in early disease prediction.
