Background:Living well is as important as living *** objective of this study is to assess quality of life(QoL)in congenital heart disease(CHD)according to current AHA/ACC anatomical and physiological ***:Cross-sectional study examining the World Health Organization QoL Bref questionnaire(WHOQoL-Bref)in consecutive outpatient CHD patients from a single ***:191 CHD patients were *** age was 28±13 years and 59%were male.44(23%),115(60%)and 33(17%)CHD patients showed mild,moderate and great anatomical defects respectively while 69(36%)patients were in physiological Stage A,27(14%)in Stage B,84(44%)in Stage C and 11(6%)in Stage *** significant differences were seen in relation the anatomical classification and the different sections of the WHOQoL-Bref *** patients in Stages C and D had significant lower physical domain scores than patients in the Stage A(pno significant differences were seen in the psychological,social relationships and environmental *** binary logistic regression analysis showed that having a higher educational level was a protective factor[OR 0.32(95%CI,0.12-0.87),p=0.026]while being married or cohabit was a risk factor[OR 3.46(95%CI,1.13-10.63),p=0.030]for having a worse rated ***,having a worse functional class(nYHA≥2)[OR 3.44(95%CI,1.20-9.81),p=0.021]was associated with dissatisfaction with ***:Patients with advanced physiological stages scored lower on the physiological *** statistical significance was seen,according to the anatomical and physiological classification,in the psychological,social relationship and environmental domains.

Large quantities of natural aggregates(nA)are required in the manufacturing of asphalt mixtures for *** extraction of nA generates high environmental impacts that negatively affect environmental preservation and *** alternative materials obtained in construction and demolition processes in civil construction worked have been studies as possible replacements for nA,with the purpose of reducing these environmental *** foregoing study presents a state of knowledge review referring to the use of recycled concrete aggregates(RCA)when these are used in the manufacturing of asphalt mixtures(mainly hot-mix asphalt HMA type).Environmental aspects are presented,as well as possible benefits and limitations of using RCA as replacements for nA in asphalt ***,it is not possible to establish a behavior pattern,since the characteristics of the RCA are very heterogeneous and vary from the original source of the *** is highlighted from the literature that RCA has a wide potential for use in the manufacture of asphalt mixtures,since in most studies,the mixtures with these materials comply the quality requirements contemplated by the construction specifications,mainly in low-volume ***,based on the literature review,some recommendations and suggestions are presented for future research.

An important use of environmental indicators is oriented to know their individual impact on the whole environment quality. nevertheless, most of the important causes of environment affectations are derived from multiple interactions between indicators which correspond more specifically to the environmental reality. The affectations derived from interactions should be analyzed and interpreted through numerical expressions representing a relevant challenge for developers of environmental indicators. To cope with the analysis and interpretation problem, we propose in this work a methodology in two senses: in a bottom-up sense a directed graph is built representing interactions between environmental indicators as behavioral relations, which exert an effect on the state of an environmental issue of a site over time (10 years);in a top-down sense to assist users in the analysis and interpretation of interactions through a computer interface that provides users with the capacity of knowing how and what relational behaviors between indicators are affecting, the most or the least, the performance of the environmental issue being studied. This methodology was applied to the analysis an interpretation of interactions between environmental variables that affect the state of an environmental quality issue related with the State of Morelos in Mexico. The results showed the adequate expressivity of a directed graph to represent interactions allowed to verify the coherence of the numerical values associated with their behaviors during a period of time and with their effects on the environmental issue under study.

Background: Four measles cases in Canada and one in the United States are linked to international importation of measles in Playa del Carmen, quintana Roo, Mexico. Objective: To describe characteristics of transmission and not spillover to local population in Mexico. Material and Methods: The outbreak investigation was based on active search of cases and in the rapid monitoring of vaccination coverage in children aged 1 - 7 years old. Laboratory confirmation by Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and molecular detection by Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) assay in throat swab and urine were done. Results: One transmission chain with three generations of cases was identified. The primary case was a 9-year-old boy who was infected in Wales, UK. His sisters aged 7 and 15 years old respectively, were the first generation of cases in Mexico. The second generation was related to the imported cases, and affected two Canadian tourists and an American woman aged 39 years old. A third generation occurred in Canada and affected an infant of 15 months of age and his sister aged 4 years old. The genotype D8 which was circulating in UK was identified in these patients. One probable case was detected in quintana Roo, but was discarded by laboratory testing. The coverage with at least one dose of Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccine ranged from 95% to 99.5%. Conclusion: International travelers with no history of vaccination are at risk of acquiring measles even in countries that have interrupted endemic transmission. The high immunization coverage of measles containing vaccine could explain the absence of cases in Mexican population. Highlights: Multinational measles outbreak in a country without endemic transmission. The findings exhibit the importance of immunization in international travelers in the post-elimination era.

Diversity and seasonal variation of ground and understory spiders from a tropical mountain cloud forest

We made intensive samplings to study the seasonal response of spiders across different forest strata(ground and understory)in a tropical mountain cloud forest from *** sampled spiders from ten plots in six sampling events during the dry and rainy season,to analyze their abundance,structure(distribution of abundance among species),diversity and the response of the five dominant species at each *** demonstrated that seasonal patterns of spider communities differed among strata,revealing a complex spatiotemporal ***,structure,diversity of ground spiders,as well as the responses of four dominant species at this stratum,showed low seasonal *** contrast,a strong seasonal variation was observed for the understory assemblage,with lowest abundance and highest diversity in the rainy season,and different assemblage structures for each *** patterns of each assemblage seem linked to the responses of their dominant *** found high co-occurrence among most of the ground dominant species with similar habitat use and with multivoltine patterns,contrasting with low co-occurrence among most of the understory dominant species with similar habitat use and univoltine *** results showed that the spiders’assemblages of tropical mountain cloud forest(opposed to what is found in temperate and boreal forests)increase their species richness with the height,and that their responses to seasonal change differ between *** programs of these habitats should consider the spatial and temporal variations found here,as a better understanding of their ecological dynamics is required to support their sustainable management.
