The envisaged design and developme nt of individual mate rials to excavate a broader spectrum of desired properties and offer multiple applications are highly *** this in mind,a series of forsterite-structured Mg2geO4:Eu3+（1 mol%-9 mol%） nanophosphors was synthesized via a solution combustion method using oxalyl dihydrazide as a *** X-ray diffraction patterns confirm the orthorhombic crystal system with a Puma space *** results clearly show irregularly shaped cluster-like structures with aggregation of the *** diffuse reflectance spectra,the optical energy band gap of the Mg2geO4:Eu3+（1 mol%-9 mol%） nanophosphors was estimated and obtained to be～4.12-4.32 *** photoluminescence emission spectra exhibit intense peaks at ～579,589,610,661,and 707 nm,which are due to characteristic5d0→7F0,5d0→7F1,5do→7F2,5d0→7F3and5d0→7F4transitions of Eu3+ions,*** commission International de L'Eclairage color coordinates are gradually tuned from pale red（0.5980,0.4012） to a pure red（0.6385,0.3611） *** glow peaks showcase excellent super-linear response at low doses of γ-irradiations,indicating that the prepared phosphor can be used in thermoluminescent personal dosimetry which is a biological tissue *** aforementioned results demonstrate that the prepared Mg2geO4:Eu3+（1 mol%-9 mol%） nanophosphors are considered an excellent candidate for dual applications,i.e.,red component in future generation white-light-emitting diodes（WLEds） and personal dosimetric applications.

This study evaluated the simulation performance of mesoscale convective system(McS)-induced precipitation,focusing on three selected cases that originated from the Yellow Sea and propagated toward the Korean *** evaluation was conducted for the European centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(EcMWF)and National centers for Environmental Prediction(NcEP)analysis data,as well as the simulation result using them as initial and lateral boundary conditions for the Weather Research and Forecasting ***,temperature and humidity profiles from 3d dropsonde observations from the National center for Meteorological Science of the Korea Meteorological Administration served as validation *** showed that the EcMWF analysis consistently had smaller errors compared to the NcEP analysis,which exhibited a cold and dry bias in the lower levels below 850 *** model,in terms of the precipitation simulations,particularly for high-intensity precipitation over the Yellow Sea,demonstrated higher accuracy when applying EcMWF analysis data as the initial *** advantage also positively influenced the simulation of rainfall events on the Korean Peninsula by reasonably inducing convective-favorable thermodynamic features(i.e.,warm and humid lower-level atmosphere)over the Yellow *** conclusion,this study provides specific information about two global analysis datasets and their impacts on McS-induced heavy rainfall simulation by employing dropsonde observation ***,it suggests the need to enhance the initial field for McS-induced heavy rainfall simulation and the applicability of assimilating dropsonde data for this purpose in the future.

This paper proposes a novel fault location method for overhead feeders,which is based on the direct load flow *** method is developed in the phase domain to effec-tively deal with unbalanced network conditions,while it can al-so handle any type of distributed generation(dg)units without requiring equivalent *** utilizing the line series parame-ters and synchronized or unsynchronized voltage and current phasor measurements taken from the sources,the method reli-ably identifies the most probable faulty *** the aid of an index,the exact faulty section among the multiple candi-dates is *** simulation studies for the IEEE 123-bus test feeder demonstrate that the proposed method accu-rately estimates the fault position under numerous short-circuit conditions with varying pre-fault system loading conditions,fault resistances,and measurement *** proposed meth-od is promising for practical applications due to the limited number of required measurement devices as well as the short computation time.

Small coin cell batteries are predominantly used for testing lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in academia because they require small amounts of material and are easy to ***,insufficient attention is given to difference in cell performance that arises from the differences in format between coin cells used by academic researchers and pouch or cylindrical cells which are used in *** this article,we compare coin cells and pouch cells of different size with exactly the same electrode materials,electrolyte,and electrochemical *** show the battery impedance changes substantially depending on the cell format using techniques including Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS)and galvanostatic Intermittent Titration Technique(gITT).Using full cell NcA-graphite LIBs,we demonstrate that this difference in impedance has important knock-on effects on the battery rate performance due to ohmic polarization and the battery life time due to Li metal plating on the *** hope this work will help researchers getting a better idea of how small coin cell formats impact the cell performance and help predicting improvements that can be achieved by implementing larger cell formats.

Many birds develop brood patches on their ventral apterium under hormonal regulation to effectively transmit body heat to eggs during *** developed patch has several characteristics,including de-feathering,vascularization,and ***,little is known about whether avian brood parasites that do not incubate their eggs exhibit brood patch development during the breeding *** this study,we measured the size of the ventral apterium in 114 common cuckoos(cuculus canorus)captured in the field throughout the breeding season and examined the appearance of the ventral apterium to confirm the development of brood *** also examined whether morphological traits and various factors correlated with the size of the ventral apterium(sternal apterium and abdominal apterium)and how it changed during the breeding *** found no clear signs of brood patch development in common cuckoos captured throughout the breeding season,indicating that they likely did not develop brood patches on the ventral apterium during this *** also found that ventral apterium size was positively correlated with wing length and body *** addition,common cuckoos with newly growing feathers on the boundary of the ventral apterium with pteryla were frequently observed as seasons progressed to the *** conclusion,common cuckoos exhibit neither brood patch development nor the vestigial characteristics of ancestral brood patches,except for the growth of feathers on boundary the ventral *** studies examining brood patches across different groups of avian brood parasites are valuable for enhancing our understanding of the developmental and physiological adaptations of avian brood parasites.

The levered-dual response(LEdAR)coulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail friction for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation capacities are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertical guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** compressive preloads generally result in the consumption of most of the initial excitation energy so as to overcome the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequency ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LEdAR system a candidate for the isolation of the mechanical systems about resonance while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation functions and passive functions at extreme frequencies.
