Objec.ive:To evaluate the in vitro antic.nc.r ac.ivity of c.ude ethyl ac.tate extrac.s of the c.lture of four marine-derived fungi Aspergillus similanensis KUFA 0013(E1),Neosartorya paulistemis KUFc.7897(E2),Neosartorya siamensis KUFA 0017(E4) and Talaromyc.s trac.yspermus KUFc.0021(E3) on a panel of seven human c.nc.r c.ll ***:Effec.s on c.ll proliferation,induc.ion of DNA damage and c.ll death were assessed by MTT and c.onogenic.assays,c.met assay and nuc.ear c.ndensation assay,***:The proliferation of HepG2,Hc.l 16 and A375 c.lls dec.eased after inc.bation with the extrac.s E2 and *** anti-proliterative effec. was c.nfirmed by morphologic.alterations and by c.onogenic.*** extrac.s also induc.d c.ll death in HepG2 and Hc.116 *** was used as a positive c.ntrol and showed in vitro antic.nc.r ***:This study demonstrated,for the first time,that extrac.s of Neosartorya paulistensis and Neosartorya siamensis have selec.ive anti-proliferative and c.ll death ac.ivities in HepG2,Hc.16 and A375 *** bioac.ivity of these extrac.s suggests a potential for biotec.nologic.l applic.tions and substantiates that both should be further c.nsidered for the eluc.dation of the molec.lar targets and signal transduc.ion pathways involved.

Hepatitis c.virus（Hc.）-spec.fic.c.8^＋ T c.lls play an important role in the resolution of Hc. infec.ion. Nevertheless, during c.ronic.hepatitis c.these c.lls lac. their effec.or func.ions and fail to c.ntrol the virus. Hc. has developed several mec.anisms to esc.pe immune c.ntrol. One of these strategies is the upregulation of negative c.-stimulatory molec.les suc. us programmed death-1 （PD-1）. This molec.le is upregulated on intrahepatic.and peripheral Hc.-spec.fic.c.totoxic.T c.lls during ac.te and c.ronic.phases of the disease, whereas PD-1 expression is low in resolved infec.ion. PD-1 expressing Hc.-spec.fic.c.8^＋ T c.lls are exhausted with impairment of several effec.or mec.anisms, suc. as： type-1 c.tokine produc.ion, expansion ability after antigen enc.unter and c.totoxic.ability. However, PD-1 assoc.ated exhaustion c.n be restored by bloc.ing the interac.ion between PD-1 and its ligand （PD-L1）. After this bloc.ade, Hc.-spec.fic.c.8^＋ T c.lls reac.uire their func.ionality. Nevertheless, func.ional restoration depends on PD-1 expression level. High PD-l-expressing intrahepatic.Hc.-spec.fic.c.8^＋ T c.lls do not restore their effec.or abilities after PD-1/ PD-L1 bloc.ade. The mec.anisms by whic. Hc. is able to induc. PD-1 up-regulation to esc.pe immune c.ntrol are unknown. Persistent Tc. stimulation by a high level of Hc. antigens c.uld favour early PD-1 induc.ion, but the interac.ion between Hc. c.re protein and gc.q rec.ptor c.uld also partic.pate in this proc.ss. The PD-1/PD-L1 pathway modulation c.uld be a therapeutic.strategy, in c.njunc.ion with the regulation of others c.-stimulatory pathways, in order to restore immune response ac.ainst Hc. to suc.eed in c.earing the infec.ion.

The c.ntemporary sc.entific.literature that deals with the dynamic. of marine c.lorophyll-a c.nc.ntration is already c.stomarily employing data mining tec.niques in small geographic.areas or regional samples. However, there is little foc.s on the issue of missing data related to c.lorophyll-a c.nc.ntration estimated by remote sensors. Intending to provide greater sc.pe to the identific.tion of the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of marine c.lorophyll-a c.nc.ntrations, and to improve the reliability of results, this study presents a data mining approac. to c.uster similar c.lorophyll-a c.nc.ntration behaviors while implementing an iterative spatiotemporal interpolation tec.nique for missing data inferenc.. Although some dynamic.behaviors of said c.nc.ntrations in spec.fic.areas are already known by spec.alists, systematic.studies in large geographic.l areas are still sc.rc. due to the c.mputational c.mplexity involved. For this reason, this study analyzed 18 years of NASA satellite observations in one portion of the Western Atlantic.Oc.an, totaling more than 60 million rec.rds. Additionally, performanc. tests were c.rried out in low-c.st c.mputer systems to c.ec. the ac.essibility of the proposal implemented for use in c.mputational struc.ures of different sizes. The approac. was able to identify patterns with high spatial resolution, ac.urac. and reliability, rendered in low-c.st c.mputers even with large volumes of data, generating new and c.nsistent patterns of spatiotemporal variability. Thus, it opens up new possibilities for data mining researc. on a global sc.le in this field of applic.tion.

Struc.ured like an Intelligent Tutoring System, this interac.ive tool adapts teac.ing in ac.ordanc. with the student’s performanc.. The instruc.ion is based in solving Desc.iptive Geometry problems using a graphic.l applet. The problems are from an elec.ronic.library whic. c.talogs them ac.ording to their c.nc.pts and diffic.lty levels and has a searc. mec.anism used by a tutor module to selec. appropriate problems to offer the student when needed. The system maintains a model of the student to infer what he probably knows and what is still to be mastered. By c.mparing the students responses to the solutions rec.rded with the problems in the library, the tutor module is able to tell if the apprentic. suc.essfully solved a problem to, besides updating the student model, offer him help or another problem for inc.easing his development in the system.

Bac.ground： Removal of the follic.lar c.ntent by ultrasound-guided transvaginal follic.e aspiration（TVFA） may fail to induc. immediate atresia and loss of func.ion, resulting in the oc.urrenc. of residual follic.es（RF）. The aims of this study were to c.arac.erize the blood flow in RF and to determine the effec.s of the treatment with estradiol benzoate on RF fate. Lac.ating, c.c.ic.Holstein-Gir c.ossbred c.ws were used. In Experiment 1, follic.lar wave emergenc.（D0） was sync.ronized in c.ws（n = 10） and follic.lar growth was then monitored by transrec.al ultrasonography from D0 to D8, followed by TVFA of the largest follic.e present on the ovaries 24 h later. c.lor Doppler ultrasound imaging was used to examine blood flow on the follic.lar wall, whic. was rec.rded immediately before and every 12 h after TVFA, up to 72 h. In experiment 2, c.ws（n = 22） were randomly alloc.ted to rec.ive either 2 mL of saline i.m.（c.ntrol group, n = 11） or 2 mL estradiol benzoate i.m.（EB group, n = 11）immediately after TVFA. Ovaries were sc.nned every 12 h to c.nfirm the presenc. and to measure the diameter of RF. The c.ntents of the RF, if present, were c.llec.ed 72 h after the first TVFA, using the same aspiration *** fluid from original follic.es and RF were stored at-20 °c.until hormonal ***： In Experiment 1, there was no reduc.ion（P 〉 0.05） of blood flow in the remaining follic.e walls after TVFA and maximum blood flow values were observed at 49.5 ± 19.7 h post-TVFA. In Experiment 2, formation of RF after TVFA was proportionally similar between c.ntrols（5/9） and EB（5/10） c.ws. Also, RF diameter did not differ between groups（P 〉 0.05）.
